Congrats Joyce, and also to Carole for having the insight to start this amazing thread. It's pouring here, my head is still pounding, came home early from work last night with a migraine and resulting tummy upset, but only the headache remains this morning. I'm sitting on the computer, with my 'Voices from the Valley' CD playing, and singing (or should I say 'creaking' LOL) along. Been 'counting the goats' - white ones, red ones, black ones. The Welsh on here will understand. Oh how I need a trip home. Do you know that being on Citalopram has disqualified me for a good insurance rate, apparently I am too 'hig-risk'. Did they think I was going to do myself in?? it's a question of - does the diagnosis exist, before OR after one takes ones medication? So much for being honest. We ran into the same thing with Colleen, who has complex epilepsy, she couldn't get help with drug costs, receive the 'handicapped' benefit as a child, because she wasn't at that time having any seizures. All I wanted, on applying, was to get financial help with the high drug costs. I would have had to take her off her meds, at great risk, for her to start seizing 30 times a day again, for her to be covered. Something wrong with the system. Ah, here comes the sun, struggling through the clouds. Have to finish the laundry before work, but miniMary has just painted my fingernails, so I'll have to sit and dry awhile!!! Amazing how the nails have strengthened with taking vitamin/mineral supplement daily for the last 3 months. They are actually presentable now, gave up chewing them in my 30s and they've never had any strength, always splitting. I thought I was eating well, but apparently I was missing something, or not absorbing it from food. case to be made for taking vitamins regularly. TTFN, Hugs Mary

Hi everyone, update on Eddie, Angela says he has been moved upstairs to the ward and is peaceful now and breathing better, she is going back later and if he is still the same will go home to try and get some sleep. Poor girl needs it. They are trying to get him into a hospice later, he will be better there I think. Less like a hospital. Angela says thank you every one for your messages, they have helped her an awful lot and is what kept her going.
Love to all Caz xx

Hello again everyone xx
What an interesting assortment of postings today, with Betty starting us off at 02.40, leading up to Caz's at 18.45...which is thirty three postings so far today, brilliant.
We have Ann G and Snow White meeting up tomorrow and both feeling a little nervous I feel, just wish I could join up with you both... have a great meet and be sure to let us know the outcome please..a photograph would be good unless you are camera shy xx Then Caz and her winnings on the lottery, wow xx Elaine has got her daughter back home, thank goodness xx Janet sending her love and prayers to all, they mean a lot to us lass xx Ann giving us an insight into her reading matter, am certainly going to get that book about Tatiana & Alexandra, thanks Ann xx Caz for keeping us updated on the Angela & Eddie news... so pleased to hear that he is more comfortable and that maybe he will be well enough to be moved to a hospice, such a much nicer environment for him to settle in to, bless them both xxxx Mary for congratulating Carole for this thread of ours without which many a soul would still be lost and searching for help xxx I have only mentioned named postings on this page 216, to go back would lose me my typed words, so will add the rest tomorrow. Reckon it's time I called it a day and settled myself down for what's left of the evening.. sleep tight and see you all tomorrow xxxx

Hi EVERYONE, I hope that everyone is o.k. Hope that Angela can get a nights sleep and that Eddie is comfortable and painfree. Just going to add two Irish sayings if nobody minds, if anyone does i will delete them as soon as i can. A Irish Blessing. May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, The sun shine warm upon your face, The rain fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- MOTHERS.
Mothers hold their childrens hands for just a little while, And their hearts forever.
----------------------------------- HOPE that you all have a very peaceful and painfree night. Bless, Betty.

Betty, my daughter has the Irish Blessing on a card, hanging in the downstairs loo. Both sayings are lovely. Am off to Amsterdam again later on, hope to be back tomorrow evening, IF the trams & trains run on time. I meant to wish everyone a nice, peaceful day.

Hi all, just got o.h. off to his course, he faffed about so much he was an hour late leaving but should have plenty of time if the traffic isn't snarled up anywhere. 120 miles and doesn't have to be there till 10.30 so should be ok. Nice new hired car courtesy of his company but manual and sat nav, two things out of the ordinary for him to get used to lol Lordy, he is such an old woman, no offence to anyone but you will understand what I mean I hope, all that fuffing for three days away, wish it was a week, I need it to get over the stress lol Am now off to bed, got chucked off the computer by wonderful aol much earlier this morning and couldn't get back on till now so just wanted to catch up before I sleep. Love and hugs to all and will be back later after my counselling this afternoon. Lizxxxxx

Part two of yesterdays 'Hello again everybody'.......
Eileen who thought I was a spring chicken! I wish xxxxxx Gail thinking that maybe I had gone zany, again! xxx Kerry who is feeling more like her own self, and liking the feeling too xxxxx Kathy who did not mention finding any cash whilst clearing out her sons bedroom. lol xxxxx Deanna stating how well and healthy our thread is, so very true..but we who post on here are lovely people anyway xxx Sue who was going 'limping', if she had asked some of us to join her we could have 'limped' along and helped each other to do that extra mile! lol xxxx
So here we all are, I wonder what you have planned for today or what has been planned for you?. Hopefully no one has to attend clinics, hospitals, doctors or dentists, well not me for a change. Ti's 'walkies' for me in my attempt to reach the goal of forty nine steps with the aid of Toby of course, so far can manage around twenty seven but getting there...
Right all, I need to get dressed now but what to wear...maybe my pink hot pants, or my blue mini skirt, even one of my kilts I used to wear when living in Scotland... yes Kathy.. 35 years in Loch Lomond, miss being there.
Have a good and fun day if possible xxx

Joyce, the general tone of your postings make you sound like a "spring Chicken". You have kept me, and everyone else, really amused with your 'Tales of Toby'. Haven't been on this board long enough to get to know everybody yet.
Will walk to the station soon, feeling rather virtuous, but am not looking forward to the long trek from one daughter's house to the other this evening, where I sleep over.sil's car is at the garage today. After a long, tiring day, a 25 minute-hike is not something to look forward too, plus there will not be so many people about.....Other daughter has the use of their car, won't be home until fairly later this evening.Hmmmm!
Have a lovely day everyone.

Joyce, the vision left by your last post is of a mermaid????? You said you lived in Loch Lomond for 35 years. good job it was not Loch ness!!
Do get that book to read, it is not a new one so you should be able to get it cheaply on amazon, or from the library. i assure you it is a good read.
Here is hoping your steps will have increased today.
Eileen, enjoy your time with your daughters and stay safe during your long walk.
Betty, loved the Irish blessing, thank you.
Good morning Gill, hope you have a good day today. Liz, enjoy your peace, don't waste too much of it sleeping!!!
Everyone, looking forward to meeting snow White (Jeannie) in just over an hours time (she has not cancelled yet!!). Bet all your ears will be burning!!
