Just back from getting my blood test results. Quite a relief to be told no sugar in the blood so no problem there, goes to show blood tests without fasting (as i had at my pre op) are not reliable. Even better was the cholesterol test which I asked the nurse to do. HDL 3.4, LDL 1.5. So the statins do work. |

Jeanie, if the test is due you are going to have to bite the bullet. Dr may not mention your weight. On the other hand he/she may give you some help with losing some if he knows it is bothering you. Enjoy the books. Give them to a charity shop when you have finished them. |

I'm so sorry I failed to notice in my rush this morning that Caz had told us of Eddies passing. Angela You were so lucky you had him, move in with you for his last days. The house must feel so empty now. God bless you, and help you through the coming weeks and months. Carole xx |

Angela, my deepest sympathy on your sad loss. The only comfort you can have is that your Eddie is no longer suffering and in pain, and that you were able to give him loving care and companionship during his darkest times. I hope happy memories will help you through. |

My dad is very sick in hospital. Lucky he is reasonably close for living where we do, it is a little bush hospital which I am able to drive to. I will try and look in but will be spending as much time with him as I can. |

Hi Bernie, I went through menopause at 28 years, I did try HRT, but it did not work for me, I think due to my age. People I do know say it is wonderful, and it is worth giving it a try and see how you get on. I think it is important to talk to your doctor about it though and learn everything you can before deciding. Do what you think is right for you. |

Gail so sorry to hear about your Dad, I work with the elderly and have an immediate mind picture. So frail, so tired, so sweet. Sad, and yet, from my perspective, you are so fortunate to have had him for so long. Sending you hugs. |

Thank you Mary. I have seen my dad go through so much with operations etc, but this is the first time I have felt fear. And I am very fortunate to have had him for so long. |
