Congratulations Joyce.Am glad to see you are back.Had no idea you are 76, in your postings, you seem a far younger woman. My uncle had a cardiac arrest and several heart attacks some years back.He was over here to visit myself and my aunt, who, lived with me.I was shocked when checking his medication, lots of it of course, because the cardiologist had prescribed 2 different lots of blood thinners.Uncle kept saying how cold he was, unusual for him, he was always so active, never felt the cold before. He actually waited until his next appointment with the cardiologist to query the medication! Of course, one lot was cancelled, no explanations or appologies.Am glad your medication is sorted and hope you are back on form a.s.a.p
Hope that Angela and her husband had a peaceful night. Many of us know how it feels to sit by the bedside of a dying loved one, don't we?
Congratulations on your win Caz.It gives you a real boost, doesn't it?
Ann of Glos, thank you for your kind words, it means a lot to know that others are willing to 'listen'. Maybe when things are a bit clearer-If they ever are, I can breath a bit easier.Just can't bring myself to talk about IT openly.
Have a good day everyone.

Joyce a lovely long entertaining post from you. Lots of outings and food there too. Poor toby he doesn't know his carefree days are numbered!!
YCaz, well done, that must have been a morale booster. whata re you going to spend it on? Elaine. Just keep popping in here and talk when you are ready. Angela, glad Eddie is comfortable, still thinking of you both.
well, best get on. Had a mammoth clear out of wardrobes yesterday and now have a huge chaarity bag full for Help the Aged and three large carrier bags for my own charity for which I am a trustee: Gloucestershire Lifestyles. Tally so far: 6 prs trousers, 9 skirts, 44 assorted tops/blouses and one jacket. just going to attack the sweater cupboard and then the tee shirts.
(Most of the trousers and skirts had shrunk since I bought them you understand? well they don't fit any more anyway.)

By the way Joyce, i would think it highly possible that the high dose pills could have caused an imbalance and caused you to be depressed which is what your mood wings sounded like.

Morning all
From a drab rainy scotland so no sun bathing for me today!!
I didn't post much last week as I was busy with paint brush again. This time I ventured into son's bedroom .Brave considering I havent had a tetanus injection for years !!.Had to shift 2 book cases to get to the wall and you wouldn't believe the junk I found down the back.Future note to son stop clipping your toe nails in the bedroom !! For those who have asked about him I think he is fine .I get a short phone call every sunday and I think he has it taped .It goes how are you fine done anything exciting this week no etc etc !!! but at least he is keeping in touch. Neighbour has gone on hols and left her cat again .This time she didn't leave me her keys as her neice is supposed to come and feed him .He has a bed in the garage but poor thing is lonely .If I wasn't scared of him and he didn't fight with my cat I would let him in to my house .I have supplied another neighbour with cat food just in case neice fails to come . Good news with my other neighbour her son is home from hospital and they didn't need to operate .Passed the balloon through his blocked artery so he is tired but feeling much better . I woke this morning with what I thought the solution to one of my many brick walls on my tree .Still can't figure it out so if any of you have a crystal ball let me know !!!! Congrats on the 3000 posting joyce Glad to hear Eddie had a comfortable night and I am still sending thoughts to them both .Like many of you I know how difficult it is sitting at a bed side. Hope you all have a good day love Kathy xxx

Angela, I think of you a lot, and have only just realised that your lovely man's name is Eddy. Bless you both.
I was not here yesterday as my hands had kept me awake all night... even my right hand which never gives me trouble.
AND... Now that we have reached 3000... and more!! I want to thank you all for being here for me whenever I need you. It helps sometimes to come on here and just TALK. The most amazing thing is... no one Gossips!! I find that a wonderful thing, it is what keeps me coming back.... all of you too I'm sure.
Have a lovely day, and I will be back tomorrow. Thank you all for your friendship Deanna XXXX

Jeannie, i do have books but from the authors you quote I think we probably don't read the same sort of books. Do you read any other authors?
Do you want any FH magazines, I have some to get rid of.

Hi everyone Angela, I am so sorry to hear how poorly your Eddie is, please remember to give yourself a few minutes to relax, not easy but helps if you can. Ask as many questions as you want then if the worse happens you will have some answers. To others, Angela's hurt is probably known to many others of us and it is so difficult when you want to do something for them and you can't. I feel I want to hug Angela and make her hubby better, if only!. Congrats to Carole and to JP for the 3000, it just shows what a good thread this is, I don't bother half as much with the other boards now. I have been getting severe anxiety attacks just lately, which are worrying my mum but I have had them on/off for so many years that I don't worry so much about them. They just hurt and make me feel so tired. I have a lot of stuff happening this year so I don't expect to be clear of them very soon, it would be so nice to have some space. I read all the messages and wish I could help but sometimes knowing how people are feeling makes me sad because I can't do anything positive for you. I can only send you all my love and prayers and hope that you can get some peace . Janet

Jeannie, when you say romantic, do you mean Mills and Boon type if so i don't read those. but many of the books I like have some romance in them. I have one here you could have. called Tatiana and Alexandra: Tatiana, 18 years old, pregnant and widowed when she escapes Leningrad to find a new life in America. But the ghosts of her past do not rest easily. She becomes obsessed with the belief that her husband, Red army Major Alexander Belov is still alive and needs he desperately.
Meanwhile, oceans and continents away in the S Union, Alexander, having barely escaped execution, is leading a battalion of soldiers considered expendable by Soviet High Command. New recruits survive only days. Yet Alexander is determined to take them across the ruins of Europe in one last desperate bid to escape Stalins death machine and see Tatiana once again.
romance with a difference and a good read.
