I can't wait to get her next one, she must have put in an amazing amount of research into the book.
I even looked the Island up on the computer, and it is still there. A bit ruined in places, but putting aside the reason they were on it... or was still a lovely place to live.... while they were fit to enjoy it.

Oh dear Dad is poorly again. Started to feel a temperature this afternoon and wanted the fire on.
Mum gave him a blanket, but shortly after he wanted to go to bed. So then he was sick. Mum had to get a neighbour ( ex nurse) to help move him, and clean him and the bed up. The doctor called and left the night number to get help. Mum decided if he was waking in the night and she was alone she wouldn't be able to cope. So Dad is going into hospital about 30 miles away. God knows where I am going to get the money for petrol from to get Mum and take her to see Dad. Cross that when I get to it tomorrow!
I think it could be an infection to do with the catheter he has had in since the end of April, when he left hospital last time. Mum took him to hospital Monday thought they were removing it but they tested his prostrate gland!

Deanna, it was a lovely story, wasn't it? Haven't been anywhere to look for books lately but am reading a run of the mill one at the mo, forget who by without going upstairs to check, but it is getting interesting. Nothing like The Island tho! If I ever visit Crete, I would go to look at the island if it was allowed.
Don't think it is likely tho as o.h. doesn't like flying now.

Carolina, hope the docs sort out what is wrong with your hubby and he is soon fine again.

Betty, hope you enjoyed your grandson's visit, he will have lovely memories of staying with you as he gets older - my lad used to stay with his Nan and enjoy being with her, but lost her when he was 13.

Ann, I may mention those dreadful words beginning with 'H', but please don't feel guilty... my main jobs in the house are done by machines !! LOL
And you can go and look at the island. they seem to have visitors all the time. If you Google Spinalonga, you will get some lovely pictures and see some of the people visiting.

I am reading John Grisham's *Playing for Pizza*.. a nice little book, no murders... 'so far'... ha ha

I have just had a PM in answer to one from me about my tree.
This person was in my Hot Matches, and had 15 members of my husbands tree... all the same names, dates, and place of birth!
His answer to me was... short but sweet...*we don't have a match, this person is not one of my relatives!* all 15 of them???
Ah well, in this particular tree, I need no help from him.

don't you get your blood tests done at your surgery? The nurse does ours but we can usually get it the same week that we book, or within a week.

Just when things were getting back on track my sons tells me that he has packed in his job and moving all the way to Lincoln......he has somewhere to stay but no job... I am at a lose to know what to do.. in a way I think it would be good for him but the mothering side of me panics....

Waveyone, do these sons of ours realise it is our job to worry? Not something you need right now but hope he will soon find a job and things work out for him, might be the making of him perhaps?

I am sorry I can't send messages to all, my brain won't cope right now, been to see Lizzie and she didn't look as good as the other day, still in pain despite new painkillers but being brave.
I have my apptmt with the urologist next week and will go and get bloods done at the hospital when I am there, can't get to surgery by 12 to have then done so easier at hospital.
Always something to sort out...

Ive not been on here for a couple of weeks, having the little one off school has been quite tireing with trying to keep a 7 year old from being bored!
