Hi Gail, just want to say sorry that you are being blamed for things out of your control, and not to feel bad cos you have your own family to consider as well as your Dad, much as you want to help him.

Hard as it is, you have to put your foot down with a firm hand and tell your siblings you are not physically able to take on all the responsibility and they have to help too. Maybe write them all a letter and keep yourself a copy so you know what you wrote, write the same to all of them, and then instead of not really listening if you say stuff on the phone, they will read and re read and discuss between themselves.
What would happen if you had to go and help your daughter again or even just wanted to visit. You cannot and should not be held to ransom like this, so dry those tears and tell those lot to get off their butts and do their share.
Big hugs to you,
Lizxx

Positive thoughts and hugs for all, I am to muddle headed to reply to everyone, I am sorry.

Carole, I will say that I don't know if fm can cause dizziness and faint feelings but used to have one arm go into spasm sometimes and my fingers would sort of stick out and be rigid, only for a few seconds and then ok. Haven't had it happen for ages tho and didn't know why.

Hi Irene, glad things are looking good for you and nice to see you on here.

Gail. As usual Liz has said it for me and as usual she talks a lot of sense. Please do not take on the guilt of your siblings. They feel guilty because theyw ork and feel they can't look after your Dad so their solution is to shift the guilt onto you. Please put your own health first and, do as Liz says. write and explain how bad your disability is and how doing too much will make it worse. How selfish people can be, they have possibly put this into your Dad's head so he thinks he should come first before everything with you because you don't work and they do. What would they do if you were suddenly able to work I wonder?

Betty, So sad isn't it when we almost expect people to take out belongings? Sorry you didn't get your purse back, just hope the money was spent on food not drink/drugs.

Deanna Report 21 Jul 2008 14:58

Happy birthday Carolina.

Ann, it was not migraine. I do have Temporal Arteritis and that is even worse than the migraine I have suffered since I was 17.
I think my eyes were just very tired. I had not slept well, and woke up with the pains...first thinking it was conjunctivitis and then realising that i just had to rest them. I was fine in the end, and am back to normal.... whatever the h*** that is!
Thanks for worrying, it is lovely to be on this thread.. always someone to care if we are okay.

Yes Eileen is in Italy with family, but she will be back with all her news. I just hope she does not over do it. But I also hope she has a great time.

Carole, I'm so glad that you took the tablets.
I have to use them and I have been very good just lately and thought I was finished with them, but no!
I now take them only when I eat something which I know will cause me a problem.
My need is after an operation and I don't think your insides ever go back as God made them! ;-0)

Are any of you going to be affected by the new laws on the rheumatics medicines?

It is a lovely day here folks.
The man next door was showing us his new potted trees in the front garden. They are lovely.... and they are artificial ... ;-0) Well they wont need trimming will they?
He told Allan that they paid £35 each for them!! Can you believe that??

AND I can have a shower again... at Christmas.... the man came and put a new hose and head on our shower.

Well folks, all my good news.. and all my boring news... and my little bit of gossip, and now I'm off.
Have a lovely day every one of you , and keep as well as you can.

Oh yes... has anyone seen or heard from Joyce p??

Love
Deanna XXXX

Evening all! Ha ha
Wendy lovely to see you. xxx

I wasn't bad this morning after taking imodium last night. Very dissapointed with myself though. I have an appointment with phychologist in the morning but aparently they phoned for me but as I was at work my oh asked if he could help. They asked if my appointment was Tues or Wed? He said it's always a Wednesday ( which it has been) but this week she couldn't fit me in so I made an appointment for Tuesday, so it looks like I will be cancelled tomorow. I'll have to get up early still and ring as my appointment is for nine thirty, and I bet they don't open until nine. I have half hours drive there so if I can get through on the phone and still have the appointment should make it. It all adds to my anxiety , they should know this!! I have been given a place on a Become more assertive course. Six weeks two hours a time. After that I'll be telling them how they should get their act together, and stop messing me about!!

I will be back tomorrow to let you all know if I get my appointment or not.

Have a good night's sleep xxxx

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 22 Jul 2008 02:03

Hi all,
first of all Maximary still has a problem with her internet at home so can only get on line at work and then not for long. I phoned her on Sunday evening, I used oh.'s mobile with the international call sim card, that he uses to call his idiot son in N.Y. (well i bought him the phone lol and he and his son have fallen out so he isn't using the credit lol)
Mary's grandson had yet another mishap yesterday, they heard a yell and he had cut just under his bottom lip so another visit to the hospital, they couldn't stitch it so glued and plastered it and by the time they got home, he had sat in his car seat and pulled the plaster off and peeled off the glue!!! At some time over the weekend, he had managed to climb out of a window feet first nearly onto the roof of a room below, but his head wouldn't go through the gap so he was stopped from getting down to the roof. They must feel like putting him on a lead sometimes, having to watch him 24/7 so he doesn't injure himself even more than now.
Mary's first tests came back clear, no baddies lurking but she has another test to go from the other end bless her.
I hope she can get her internet back on soon as she needs all the support and friendship we can give, so please send positive thoughts winging their way to her and her family.

I had a good day- got up early enough to get to hairdressing academy and had a woman updating her skills who cut my hair just as I wanted it, nice and short so I was pleased. The academy is closed now til Sept so the hair cut has to last lol Lucky I got the cancellation apptmt when I did. I went to try to get some cutprice specs but the place doesn't open on Mondays so will phone them tomorrow to get an idea of prices and then go along. I tried Specsavers but they were worse than useless, went to Optical Express where I got the old frames from, the ones I have snapped and they were very helpful and have put away one pair of frames that I liked till I decide whether they are the ones I want, turns out I can get them free and the lenses free too, through National Health but I would only get the thicker lenses, not the light slim ones. My prescription is strong so I end up with bottle bottoms almost which never fit well in the fashionable metal frames and even show in plastic frames, of which there aren't many to choose from so this pair altho not ultra trendy were the best of a bad job really. Otherwise with my lenses being varifocals and going for the slim option it would cost me over £250 which I can't afford.
I also went to my baby's grave and saw the council have cut a branch back off the tree that was over hanging the grave but there is nothing only weeds growing on there, all her roses are gone and it doesn't look as if the snowdrops primroses or anything came up, no dead foliage, just lots of chomped up pine cones from the tree that the squirrels drop down. I saw the supervisor for the maintenance team and he told me he always goes there and checks when the mower man goes round that part, which is due to be cut again soon, to make sure they don't bash the grave. The previous chap used to mow over the grave and cut off the first roses I had on there, which my Dad had given me so I was really upset. More were planted and he did it again, so I put a white plastic fence round so he couldn't miss the area and mow over. He was very rude when reprimanded so has been taken off the cemetery work and sent to mow at a park instead.
I was touched that the supervisor was so caring and he said he had a brother buried somewhere, as he died at birth, and his Mum died the day after, and he doesn't know where either grave is. That's why he was thoughtful. He told me to get some Growmore and mix with some of our compost and put it on and see if things thrive better, so I shall do that another day.
I also spent time with my son and that was nice and met up with an ex neighbour, a Jordanian chap who owns a complementary medicine centre. He has told me before to go and see him about my problems but I reminded him I couldn't afford him lol, he said come along and see what we can do, and pay what you can or when you can. I might go and talk with him and see if his hypnotherapist can sort me out and stop my hoarding.
Nearly out of letters so will say bye for now, love and hugs, and hope you all have a positive day as I did.

I sound like a real scrooge don't I, reading back over the thread but I really don't have any spare money right now which is why I am trying to find the cheapest specs.
Also I thought when I was reading Taff's thread about her daughter's grave, that I should check the insurance is still ok for my daughter's headstone.
Lo and behold, when I picked up my mail from my house today, there was a reminder for that. £30 for another five years but worth it, as if vandals or something damaged her headstone, I wouldn't be able to afford another.
Oh well, one step forward, two back lol

Carole Report 22 Jul 2008 08:15

Liz you didn't sound like scrooge at all. I had new glasses in April. Oh gave me £150.00 said go get them eyes tested. My varifocals cost me more like £270.00. Not that I could afford it, but need them for work.

I went grave hunting last week and found my gg grandparents. Their double grave was covered in dry leaves and twigs off the trees. It looked so sad. Hope you can get you babies grave looking nice.

Mary sorry to hear your G split his lip. He is a feisty little lad! Good news about your test. Hope the second one comes back clear also. Missing your post's and hope you are soon back on line with us.
Love to you and your family xx

Gail how are you? Has your dad been any better with you? xx

Deanna hope you are okay xx

Christina thanks I'll let you all know if I get the appointment when I have phoned or made the mad dash up there if it is on! xx

Been to psychologist. What a stress again. Apparently I was down in the appointment book twice. She has me booked onto a course Being more confident. and is going to try get me on another dealing with anxiety. Couldn't ask for more at the moment from them.
