Gail sorry to read that your Dad is ill, so sad when a parent becomes so frail, He will be so pleased to have you with him, precious moments you can spend together. Thinking of you.

Bernie Pleased that you decided to come on here. I took HRT and it was excellent for me. the trouble is that was before they were worried about the risks involved in taking it so you need to look at those. a good idea to discuss things with your nurse.

Men have great difficulty in understanding the side effects of the menopause, especially those that affect them directly. You maybe need to have a good talk with your OH to get him to understand. If there is any literature at your doctors on the menopause let him read it. I know it is difficult but try not to push him away too much, these times will pass tell him while you may have gone of 'it' you have not gone off him. What you are feeling is normal.

Hi everyone
welcome Legs, hrt didn't do for me but I reckon the menopause is like giving birth, we all go through it in a different way but still come out the other side. Does that make sense!!!!
Gail, I am sorry about your dad, I do hope he improves, it is such a stressful time.
My own bits and bobs are not improving so I am looking at having to go to the docs. My headaches and my breathing are getting me down now, but I know there is little he can do about them, it just helps to talk.
The next 6 months are full of problems to be faced and then they may not be erased.
Anyway, live for today, Love and hugs for all who need them
Janet

Hi everyone, I have a lot of catching up to do but just come on to say hello.
Welcome Bernie, nice to see you on here. I can't help with HRT as my doctor wouldn't give me it, I was taking something at the time but can't remember what for. Lol, you all know how many things are wrong with me I get them all mixed up at times.
Gail I am so sorry about your dad, it is an awful thing to have to watch them when they are ill. I hope he improves soon.
Sue I feel for you, it is agony for me at the moment walking and my back is bad again, can't even get my knickers on right.
Angela said she had a good sleep surprisingly, thinks it's because she knows Eddie is not suffering anymore. Thank you for all your messages for her but she can't face coming on yet, understandable really.
Sorry if I haven't mentioned anyone but I think of you all the time.

Must go, love to all
Caz xx

Caz, good to see you on here, do sympathise with you re knickers and back, when mine is bad it is agonising first thing in the morning getting dressed and knickers, trousers and socks are the worst.

Gail, oh dear lass, there is nothing so stressful as seeing the people you love suffering, just hope that they are making him as comfortable as possible. Please give him a big hug from me and a couple of hugs thrown in for yourself.
Take care,

Oh dear Caz,
is that you getting your knickers in a twist... again! cannot leave you alone for two minutes before you start misbehaving, what shall I do with you?
Will be thinking of you tomorrow and hope your consultant has favourable news to impart, for a change.
Hope to catch up later tomorrow with any funny incidents occurring during the computer 'lesson', who knows someone might be expelled from class, quite likely me for cheating.
Well!!!!! I did cheat, or attempted to, last week... we were given a test paper which had diagrams comprising of boxes, one had to identify and name the notations on the tool bar from memory, then fill in the blanks. There were a couple I was not sure of having never used them before..I opened 'windows' and had a look... a hand appeared in front of me and the screen went blank... the hand belonged to the tutor... he just winked at me and walked on.. am I bad or am I bad lol.
Time now to take a break so will say goodnight and god bless to you all.

Hi Bernie - regarding HRT - I was on it for years with only positive side effects - the reason I went on it was because - how can I put this delicately - marital relations were impossible presumably because certain hormones had packed in - the HRT eased the problem totally - I no longer take HRT as OH sadly died just over five years ago so not needed now, but I would recommend it - it worked for me!! Hope this helps.

AnninGlos Report 20 May 2008 21:06

Delicately put Ann, i regret the day I was taken off after I had a cyst. Had been on it 9 years, was a great help with 'marital relations'.

Welcome to our thread to Bernie and Paul.
If any of us can help we will!!

Bernie I'm not (aware of being) in the change yet myself. But won't be long I guess! Hope you find someone here to talk to.

Paul, the panic attacks are awful aren't they. I think the best you can do is see your doctor about having awhile off work to start with. Get those panic attacks
under control. Then you can get back to work. I had four months off last year. (Not the first time). Rescue remedy helped a lot of us. I see you have tried moodgym. I'm sure you will get lots of support here. Talking seems to help, those who haven't been through it get fed up listening, but we don't!!

Everyone else thinking of you all xxx

Carolina, Good to see you on here and you sound more positive too which is good. There is nothing like growing flowers, watching them grow and then seeing the results so enjoy the fruits of your labours. I am not a good one for cleaning so i too get remarks when i have a blitz. OH usually asks if we are expecting visitors. But he is only joking and he does do half the housework himself. he does the floors and I dust and polish. he cleans the cloakroom and I do the bathroom, he does the ironing. But in the summer he is doing the gardening which I now find hard because of my back, so i do more housework.

Hope your time in court is OK.

Paul, good to see you on here, pop in and see us again.
