Hi gang, I don't think any of us are feeling up to much last few days. I thought I had better come and say that I am still about and thinking of you all, I am still the same as last week with the pain so taking it easy and just being quiet.
Hope you all have a good bank holiday.

Well, there you all weredown on page six and loads of posts since my last one. Joyce, I do so love your ramblings and could just picture Toby 'helping' you to have a clear out. that was what we did yesterday and today, cupboard under the stairs, which is actually in the kitchen, a couple of the kitchen cupboards as well, that was yesterday. Today we tackled the airing cupboard and found sheets I had forgotten we had - some of which are in the charity bag now, then we did the conservatory, a prickly job as I had three shelves of cacti and wanted to get rid of some really old ones that were past their best!

Still a few more places to tackle but we are getting there (well i thought we were until I followed OH up into the loft this afternoon. Need a skip for that lot everything including the kitchen sink.

YCaz sorry you are still in pain, also you Deanna. Hope you and anyone else suffering will see improvement soon.
Kathy lucky you having the sun, definitely a north south split this BH.
Liz, wonder why you are so tired, hopefully your holiday with the sea air will sort you out soon.
Elaine, Gill, Carole, good to see you Janet, hope the golf competition was fun. did you win?

Hi all

Kathy how far away is the funeral taking place?
Couldn't your sister take you with her? Now look
how Elaine was having panick attacks about going to her aunts funeral. Do you remember? Elaine showed us all she could do it and you can. Rescue remedy in hand at the ready. Just get to the church / crem you can always sit outside until after the service then join the others. I realise I'm talking you into something you just want to say no to, but you can try. Come on here, bend our ears as much as you want, I know it will be hard but you can do it.
Tell us how you are getting worked up we understand. But you can get to see off your mum's lovely friend. Please say you will try xxx

Gill please make that appointment, it only takes five minutes and could save your life. I am still the same I couldn't get any sleep for the pain in my back, thanks for thinking about me.

Elaine, it will most likely turn out that they need another one just to be sure, it doesn't mean anything bad. I was called back once and was scared, oh it does scare you, but I was ok they just wanted to make sure. Hope everything goes ok for you.

Hi everyone
I am so sorry that many of you are feeling low just now. I am in the throes of anxiety attacks myself just now but my family is so used to me that now they understand and are more helpful, it has taken some years for any of them to accept it though.
I too have a growing list of problems that don't help and this morning my mum is not well, which is something I cannot cope with, although my dad died 4 years ago, it is still very fresh in my mind, too soon for anything to happen to my mum.
I urge anyone who can have tests fot what ever to go and get them done, they may be unpleasant but they have saved many lives and most times they turn out fine anyway.
Hi Ann, I did enjoy the golf comp, there was no way we were going to win but it was fun and the buffet afterwards was great, we had aquiz but we didn't win that either. The golf club is council owned and so cheaper to be a member. The folk are great and so down to earth. My hubby is secretary of the ones who are not too good (Rabbits, they are called) and it is a big part of his life now, he had a nasty accident that has prevented him from playing his beloved cricket so he took up golf. I don't play but don't mind the fun days twice a year.
Sometimes though when you enjoy yourself, don't you find there comes a fall(like my mum being ill today) it always seems to happen to me and so I dread being happy.
Anyway I do hope everyone feels a bit better soon
Much love Janet

Hi all
Elaine, glad you are feeling better after your visit to your grandchildren
janet, the golf competition buffet etc sounded good. I am afraid my OH's golf club take everything too seriously for fun days. I did start to learn but really couldn't be bothered, I agree with the person who wrote the book 'a good walk spoiled'. My OH plays three times a week which keeps him out of mischief. he is off 10 although he was once off 3, comes with getting older.

Gill, please be brave and make that appointment. I never liked them but don't like the fact that i am too old for either that test or mammograms now in this area.

YCaz, sorry you are still in pain, you must be really fed up.

Wavyone Hope you soon feel better again, maybe you should try and make yourself go out if the weather improves. I know easier said than done but the fresh air might make you feel better.

Carole, catch up with us when you are not so busy, as long as you are OK

Deanna, can i give you the title of another must have book for you. The Crystal Skull by Manda Scott the book club book for this month (well one of the two), a great read, couldn't put it down.

Just a little good morning from a horrible dark wet and gloomy Gloucester. OH usually plays golf on Wednesdays which gives me 'my space' but he hasn't played because it is so wet. so now he is bored. Say no more!!!!

Hope all are as well as can be expected and not in too much pain.

Good afternoon everyone,
Haven't been posting much lately, because of some really bad problems.Today is my eldest daughter's birthday, was able to phone her and sound cheerful enough to fool her.She was also cheerful, as she normally is, in spite of her constant pain and handicaps.
Lucky I phoned when I did, because the letter I have been absolutely dreading, dropped through the letterbox a while ago, which has left me shaking and sick to the stomach.I really don't know which way to turn.Don't want to tell my daughter who lives two doors down, it would worry, and depress her even more than she is at the moment.I told my old friend in England of course,we tell each other nerarly everything.

Sorry for being such a misery guts, hope no-one minds me letting off a little steam.

Well done Gill, you will feel glad you did it when it's over and wonder what the fuss was about.
Eileen let off as much steam as you want, if I got a letter like yours sounds I would do more than let off steam.
I have a couple of pm's to answer from this morning so I will leave you all and have a cuppa first.

Evening all,
Gill, well done, you will be fine and it will soon be over, then you will be relieved that you did it.

Bernie, glad you got the HRT Ok and hope it works for you, it will probably take a few weeks to kick in. Your birthday sounded good, and another treat this weekend, lucky you, hope you have a wonderful time!

eileen we don't mind at all if you come on here to let off steam. your letter sounds pretty scary but I hope things prove not to be as bad as you think. would your daughters not prefer to know if something is worrying you? even if they have their own problems you do so much for them, maybe they would be glad to pay you back with their support.
jeannie, he went down the greenhouse in the end potting on his french marigolds. Then we went to hurrans this afternoon for a coffee and to get out of the house for half an hour. trouble is the traffic is horrendous with that road closed.

Anyway this was way down on page 5 so it needed boosting up a bit.

take care
Ann
