Hi Bob

I would agree with you with 1890.
All the family were born in Maldon,
Thankyou for searching for all of the information.

Hi Dionne,if you agree that all the action,so to speak happened around Maldon, Essex, can we say that all or most of the Livermore,s came from Essex ? and moved around to Sussex , Middlesex, and Neasden, Middlesex, and Edmonton?, or is that a wild card. I Know that Clacton / possibly Walton on sea, they are very close, your Dad has a memory of 2 ladies there, do you know yet who they were?.
Perhaps letting people see your tree so far with the bits you are looking for would make some sense, you have as far as ime concerned the longest continuous thread, as at 0128 on24/11/07 35 pages
if only the guinness book of records were on line...

Hi Dionne Marriages as found on FBMD
Alice ???? Livermore Langstone Barnet 1917 3a 611
Alice ???? " " Potter St Olave 1926 1d 207
Alice M??? " " Handley Gravesend 1912 2a 843
Alice M??? " " Mills Brentford 1922 3a 183
Alice M??? " " Tott Edmonton 1924 3a 884
Non of these marriages mention Maud, as a name so as far as I am concerned non are in her area of Maldon, was she a spinster, or did she marry late in life? FBMD only goes to 1924 so she could have married later?. There is a large concentration of Livermore,s in the Edmonton, West Ham area 1880/1920s I wonder if they are related . Also you have the Pittuck, Pinnuck & Puttick who married Livermore,s What a nightmare for Christmas cards>

Good Night from me BOB,.,.,

Dionne Report 24 Nov 2007 09:52

Hi All

I have to shoot out in a little while but I had to post the information that I have received today.

It is the marriage certificate of the possible brother to Dorothea,Edwin.
As on certificate....

date of marriage..24th October 1935
register office District of Hendon,Middlesex
by Licence

Edwin William Livermore Bachelor aged 24
Leonora Isabel Pittuck Spinster aged 23

Profession
Edwin Leading Aircraftsman
RAF Camp
Upper Heyford
Oxford

Leonora
Domestic Servant
75 The Drive
Golders Green

Fathers Name and Profession

Edwin

EDWIN WILLIAM LIVERMORE (DECEASED)
SERGEANT
ROYAL ARMY MEDICAL CORPS

Leonora

Walter Pittuck (Deceased)
Groom Domestic

Can it be to much of a coincidence that Edwin's father is not the Edwin we are looking for.

The only difference is his rank in the Army. We have corporal on his records but on the marriage certificate it says Sergeant. I'm getting really excited about this one. I am hoping that on Monday we get the birth certificate of Edwin Junior.
I will reply to the rest of the postings later as I should have left my house ten minutes ago.

Bob thankyou for all of the information that you have supplied.

Let me be the first to say OMG !!

..and wow...!!

So let the fun begin!

I would say coincidence doesn't have a part here... maybe he promoted his dad to make his cert look a bit better??

So what do we have as far as their children go? Do we have anything at all yet, or were we awaiting on the marriage cert?

...all excited..

That name is not nearly popular enough... :-S

I have pm'd you...

another Edit....

Sorry Dionne.... I did a living relative search and found her upto 2003 with her hubby, who i might add is still at the address.... but her records stopped in 2003, i then found this.

What brilliant news - I feel this may be the breakthrough!

I looked at the book about Royal Army Medical Corps at Kew today, to see if it gave any info about what they were doing in S Africa up to 1911, but it was useless, I'm afraid.

Dionne, where did you get the birth reference for Edwin's birth certificate (one born 1911) ? I thought it was unable to be found suggesting that he too may have been born South Africa.

Don't know whether Dianne means the cert someone found - see page 31. Don't think it's the right one, though, as probably Edwin junior was born in SA, and anyway, middle initials don't match.

Moody Blue

Moody Blue Report 24 Nov 2007 17:32

I agree Ann, I dont think that he is the correct one.. Edwin W was born September 1911 and the other one is registered June 1911 middle initial C.

Dionne,

Don't you hate it when work gets in the way of life?!

I am afraid I haven't had much to add on this thread, but I do read it regularly as inspiration!

Moody Blue

Moody Blue Report 24 Nov 2007 23:10

Ann and Dionne,

I know almost nothing about military history but was wondering if it was possible to access Edwin Junior's military records. Just a thought but maybe some names could perhaps be gleaned from them?

Hi, just to say i started reading this and i am hooked, i have now decided to try and get some help the same way as you have. I have only just recently joined and i will be looking for my fathers family if i can, he was adopted but he think she may have had a sister. What a sad life for your father as a child.

Good luck

Only his next of kin would be able to get Edwin Junior's military records, as he would have served after WW1, so Dionne wouldn't be able to get them.
