Popping in quickly to say hello, got my van back, several hundred $$ later . . . . funny thing, it's running much better now, strange . . . . .We've had a couple of snowfalls, but have been left with just a dusting of the white stuff on the lawns, nothing to clear, a bit icy, the sky was gorgeous this morning, a pinkish hue with hundreds of little cloud bits all tinged pink, Megan said it looked like a 'paint by numbers' picture.
We are still working on clearing the creepy crawlies, 2 kids heads clear now, 2 to go. I never, in my life, saw so much laundry.
I bought a Christmas pressie yesterday -a big red UK pillarbox - which is actually a cupboard for CD's/DVD's. My son will love it LOL.
Six people to go . . . . I am totally behind and non-motivated. Please someone send me some "get-up-and-go", mine has got up and went . . . .,just so tired.

Was up for a couple of hours in the night when my grandson spiked a fever and is high risk for seizure, He wasn't impressed when his Mum tried to give him a medication - so he knocked over the bottle of liquid medication - his Mum was out to the shops at 4am to get some more. I did go back to sleep and actually slept late. Now I'd like another nap LOL.

Some sad news on here this morning, sending hugs to those who are hurting, or are sharing sadness with someone else.

Well, one hurdle over Sharron, you got the bus. I bet he loved the trip really just didn't want to show it.
What a kind bus driver, pity there are not more like it.

Mary, glad you got your van back, also glad you didn't get too much snow. Poor you losing all that sleep. still at least it sounds as if you prevented the fever. Little monkey isn't he? i suppose he thought if he spilled it he wouldn't have to have any!! Hope he is better now.

Carole Tinkerbell has asked me to let you know her puter is bust.

Also to tell every how much she misses you and is thinking of all of us.

Hopefully it will not be long until it is either fixed or a new one is purchased.

Love and hugs

Morning everyone, I hope you're all ok and not too many of you 'snowed in' we have just more and more rain down here in Sussex.
After my hospital visit the other day, I have to go back for an endoscopy.I'm not looking forward to that at all but needs must as I don't want to leave things to chance and nor did the doctor, he was brilliant, told me everything that is going to happen and what he thought the problem was.
I have to go to the doctors this morning about my knee again and hopefully something for my stomach, since going to the hospital and being examined I've had stomach pains, I know I have IBS and it's playing me up at the moment, I don't usually have meds for it as I know what foods to avoid, but I think this bout is stress related.

Have a good day everyone, Caz I hope you're doing ok?

Everyone else who needs a hug today ((hugs to you))

Hi to all. I haven't been on computer for a while now as I haven't been too good. Doctor came to see me on Tuesday and is sending me for an x-ray on my right lung, the one that had fluid in it. It is muffled now when she listened to it. She is also asking Chris to call and see me to up my dose of morphine, it isn't working as well as it did and the pain grinds me down.
She agrees with me about the radiotherapy and says it will make me iller than most because of the state of my system (whatever they call it, my body can't fight the effects). She says my poor body has enough to cope with (her words) without having that, so enough is enough, glad she is on my side..
Sods law, the Macmillan nurse who sorted me out last week has just rung me now to see how I am, when I mentioned Chris coming to up my dose of morphine she said she can't, she slipped and broke her leg. This nurse has told me to take an extra 10mg on top of what I am taking and she will call in next week. I just feel as if I am making problems for everyone, at the end of my tether right now so might not be on again for a while.

Caz xx

Caz, in case you should look in, of course you are not making problems for everyone. Your body makes problems for you, it is their job to solve them.

Sorry to hear you have been feeling rough again, hope the extra 10mg helps. poor Chris a broken leg at this time of year, hope she recovers soon.

Hi

I think a higher dosage of meds can help. I wonder if this will help for me.

I wish I would not keep ruminating over the smallest chance of uncertainty over good things and the occasional negativity as people will argue even the most valid proof.

Somebody please give me a kick in the pants. I have spent the past 4 hours fussing over the fact that the house is cold, did I pay the gas bill?, how does one get the front off the furnace to see if the pilot light is still on, why does the fan come on and nothing else, where in the world is the fuse box, called the gas co, they don't look after servicing heating equipment, going through the phone book, which one should I call. etc etc
My daughter Megan, who is challenged, came downstairs, 'why is the house so cold? is the battery dead?' The furnace doesn't run on a battery says me - then it hit me, there are batteries in the programmable thermostat. Megan for all her challenges, solved the problem. The house is warm after 24 hours, only cost me 3 AA batteries. Spent all that energy worrying about how to pay for a new furnace . . .

Next issue, got behind on an important bill, no idea how to pay for it, then this morning receive a cheque (which wasn't due till the 19th) for exactly the right amount.

Somehow things always work out, no matter how much I worry, panic or pace, or shake, or agitate everyone around me. If I'd only learn to take a deep breath and look at things logically, I'd save myself an awful lot of anxiety. Lesson learned, now lets see if I can retain it till the next crisis.
Appreciate being able to express thoughts here when things seem overwhelming.
I'm off to work now, at least the house will be warm when I get home. Last night when I got home at midnight I spent almost 2 hours trying to concoct gluten-free pizza crust so the kids wouldn't feel left out when their school had 'pizza day' today. Finally achieved it, quite good texture, excellent taste, that's a keeper. The kids were thrilled this morning to see pizza going in their lunch bags.
Good day all,
group hug,
Mary

Hi all, having a stressful time with o.h, had to take him round diy shops today for more bits for bathroom, will it ever be finished? So glad if./when he gets his licence back and can ferry himself around. Told him tonight I want my money back, didn't get a toy boy to end up chauffering him about, should be the other way round - fat chance.

Want to get to shops myself this afternoon, while all the discounts are on to get some last minute gifts etc.

Mary, glad you are warm again, - wish a battery would solve my problems lol, and wish there was more heating here, my feet are like ice again.

Take care all, am thinking about everyone, just haven't energy to keep up with all the threads etc.
lots of love

I am pleased to hear that Daniel is improving at last.

Deanna, you will have to practice on here. preferably with your clothes on and not bare!!!
It must have been really scary and very traumatic to be unable to read or write. we are so proud of you for coming this far so quickly. well done.
