Hi
I am not doing too bad at the moment. I am going to London and Brighton in 5 weeks to research my family tree more. That can get rid of my OCD symptoms as it is a distraction.
I have been very pleased at the latest discovery as I may have discovered how my gggrans parents met as her father was a servant and they both moved to London from Sussex and married shortly after her birth, then she was baptised by them. His previous wife was ill for quite some time before she died, and I believe he may have known of his next wife or her family.
Hopefully I can find out more about this when I go to Brighton.
Ben

Well done elaine for going down town on your own. I have just had an almond slice and a coffee thanks. good luck Ben on your family research. sharron hope your ok. Dont know how people will know which one there talking to so I will end my chats with shazza. Hi Deana, Joyce, Liz and rest of gang. I have been cutting our rosies hair(the dog) shes been absoulately loving it. She looks like shes got a bob cut on her ears. Everyone keeps saying dont she look cute. I think I have done a good job. when I have taken to the shop before to have her hair clipped she was in a terrible state when she came back. She blanked me all day and when I went to stroke her she growled. She had never done that before. And she was fine with everyone else. my hubby said because you have taken her she fell out with you. Because before we had her she was a rescue dog I wonder if she thought i was going to leave her there for good. Anyway since that day I cut her myself and she is brilliant. see you all soon love shazza

A very good morning one and all xxx
Yes ti's me reporting for duty and ready to take my punishment for being AWL without permission... sorry Carole xx
I have many loose ends to tie up before I am back up to speed so had better get started.
Computer course: Two persons have fell by the wayside, they were finding it too difficult to keep up with the rest of us. They technical side and application was so confusing to them, sad. We had an assessment test last Wednesday which I enjoyed until learning that I had only gain a 'C' for written English (me who can swear like a trooper), the punctuation aspect let me down, always has been my weak spot. I did achieve five 'A's' and two 'B's' for the rest...only another seven sessions to go then we get certificated! no comments from you Deanna please, have already had a brain scan to prove I am sane. lol.
Tobius: Yes, our Toby is still up and running in more ways than one. He is pleased to announce that his 'bits' are still attached to his anatomy, which was not due to misgivings on our part but because insurance premiums for 'Sisko' had to be found. £600 a year covers everything from transportation, vet costs and death.. At the moment he is on his best behaviour after having a run-in with his local postman whom he attempted to bite! It would appear that neighbours have seen small children poking sticks through the cat flat, so he probably decided the next object being shoved through would get attacked. There is now a version of a childs gate installed in the hall so all should be fine until he learns to jump over it!.... Our 'walkies' are progressing nicely and we have even been to the local swing park.. Toby loves the roundabout. as for me, put me on one of those things and I would end up flat on my back, a bit like Caz, anything in motion turns me into a giddy lizzy xxx At the weekend my daughter travelled to Coventry and spent a couple of days with her beloved Sisko. She arrived at the stables, went to his pasture, whistled, Sisko's ears pricked up, he turned round and charged over to her.. then proceeded to lick her all over. Isn't it wonderful the love you get from animals when you treat them with love and kindness xx
As some of you may know I lost my next door neighbour last Wednesday. Agnes lived alone and would have celebrated her 99th birthday this week, she had buried one husband, a daughter and a son, lived through two world wars.. what a lady indeed. She could talk the hind leg off a donkey but was so knowledgeable, I could listen to her for hours. Last year, after a fall, the 'authorities' decided she should go into a home.. like bloody hell she said, I'm not moving and she didn't. To keep them happy she agreed to have 'meals on wheels', little did they know that her day could only start after she had had her breakfast, this consisted of... bacon, egg, tomatoes, mushrooms and fried bread, followed by toast and marmalade.. god that would feed me for a week! She was the matriarch of our court and when I brought her outside and placed her in my cane chair, surrounded by cushions, she would be visited by neighbours and fed cups of tea.. she will be so sorely missed, especially by me.
As for me, well! My puffers are being puffed My ciggies are bought less My 'walkies' are extended Surgery! anyone's guess
So pleased to see our thread/postings are gaining momentum and with so many newbies, well they were and it's me that has a lot of catching up to do, that's for sure. I am also aware that I must not take any more unofficial breaks due to the close proximity of earning my 'gong' in the race for 'places'.... are you listening Deanna..... just because you were the opening poster on Page 200 does not mean you are anywhere as high as myself in the 'number' stakes. lol.
As for our Caz! well she has been keeping a low profile lately... am sure it is because she knows that it is written in her contract that although 'clowns' are allowed a red blister on their nose, they must be fit at all times to assist the ringmaster...blisters of feet and toes are not permitted I'm afraid..xxxxxxxx Just tell that consultant of yours that he has to come up with some miracle cure for you, otherwise he is answerable to us lot who will sort him out xxxxx best of luck when you see him on Wednesday, will be thinking of you lass xxxx
All I have to do now is scroll through the postings of the last few days and familiarize myself with our 'newbies' and catch up on all the news...wow! I will be here for hours xx
Whatever anyone has planned for this bank holiday Monday, enjoy
Take care and be good,
JoyceP xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Joyce..... just cos you are back, no need to set in attacking me right away!!;-0(
I have been keeping your memory alive here!!
I'm your bestest friend fgs...........
Anyway, everyone, I have had computer problems.... cables were down yesterday, but all is well now.
Eileen.. have a nice time with your family.
Sharron.. no need for any guilt here love, just enjoy your life. THAT is what it is for. The crime... if there was one was not yours, but your mothers. AND, your poor dog, no wonder he growled at you..... he's FREEZING!! far to cold to change your winter coat.
*Ner cast a cloot til May is oot*...... ;-0)
Carole.... sorry but I had no computer so I could not get on yesterday.... do you want me to write some lines?? Or just sit in the corner? I quite fancy sitting in the corner, can I have the TV on? ;-0)
Ben.... you sound bright today. Glad to see that. Enjoy your trip to London, and hope you find loads of help for your tree.
Elaine.... I hope all goes well for your husband, I'm sure it will. I wish they would do something for mine... he is so weak looking sometimes, and he is a man who WILL NOT SIT STILL!
And CAZ.... Joyce is right. Her poor poor feet, you would expect someone to find a little ease for Caz....
Everyone else will see you later. My friend is coming down to visit this afternoon.... my sick husband is *hoovering the carpet*. That is exactly what I tried to tell you all. I was just going to give a dust.... but he thinks that the 'world and his uncle' will think he is not caring for me properly if he doesn't hoover.
You will not be there to care for me Allan if you don't care for YOU!! But he can't hear me!!! ;-0(
see you all later, love Deanna XX

See I was right. Two of us Sharon and Sharron.I'm Sharron,no guilt,no dog.I have a cat called Desmond. While I'm here.Have any of you read the article I mentioned on my thread, which has now sadly slipped awa on to a distant page. I truly believe that much depression and anxiety is no more than extreme and quite understandable unhappiness much of it learned from early childhood and that NPD could well be the underlying cause. Because it is so hard for the victim to express and the perpetrator thinks they are behaving quite properly, mad ba****ds!,the medical and counselling professions are not really aware. Sorry.I'm being very radical but I do feel very strongly about this. Big Share

Well good morning all. Had a busy day yesterday - had to attend a luncheon at which my daughter received a cheque for the Womens Opportunity award. She was thrilled and I was so proud of her. She had to give a speech and was told they would have to cut her off at 15 minutes LOL thinks me - they had to cut her off !! Several of the attendees had planes to catch so had to leave early. the food was pretty basic for a posh hotel, and terribly salty (I don't normally eat much salt). The cheque was sizeable and then she received a second cheque from the local chapter for $500. What a huge help to0 her. I can't stay on here, apologies . . . I'm having to type with my 4th & 5th fingers, as the other 3 are totally numb, can't feel to type . . been an hour since I woke up, hopefully it will stop soon. Must have kinked my neck in the night. Happy news, Colleen has a new washing machine, my little machine has been doing overtime since hers gave up the ghost 2 weeks ago. Unbelievably her ex bought her a new one on Saturday, and was most ticked when their daughter told him Mummy won a $$ award, after he'd bought the machine!!!! Sending hugs to those who need them this morning, it's sunny & I am hoping to get an hour in the garden before work if I can get this hand moving. Have some planting of bushes to do - 2 roses called 'City of Welland', 2 Japonica and a Weigelia, plus a potentilla. My lilac babies fell over in the heavy rain we had on Saturday, so they need replanted. Mary

Hi Elaine, the Citalopram has worked wonders for me, exactly as you describe - calming, less anxiety, i still have the shakes at times but much less frequently. Crying episodes are rare now, and I'm feeling 'normal' emotions, up and down, without the extremes. A real bother is my head tremor, which increases if I'm concentrating or anxious. A great relief to know it isn't Parkinsons disease, just a wobbly head.LOL. They seem to think it' familial', but I'm the only one in my family affected, so I suspect it's a side effect of anxiety. My mother died at 96 without shakiness, my Dad didn't live long enough to develop such symptoms. the bottom line is, on Citalopram, I feel better. Well done, dear Elaine, you can have your cuppas after the test. I'll save one for you. hugs Mary PS my hand has come back, took 2 hours this time.

Hi gang
Victor Meldrew signing in .
I DON'T BELIEVE IT had to go back to the dreaded B&Q today and it was full of young people and kids !!! now I can't make my mind up which is worse screaming kids or pensioners !! The nice assistant helped me get the correct light bulbs last week and you guessed they were all the wrong size hence my return visit .Only good thing about today was I didn't bump into ex husband who works there and seems to have an in built radar that detects me the minute I set foot in the shop . He then procedes to tell me what to buy and in what colour !!!
I have been busy the past few days trying to keep my football pitch of a garden tidy .It's like the forth road bridge by the time I get all the way round it is time to start again ..Saw my neigbour sitting in a deck chair today in her garden . I threw mine out years ago as I never get time to sit .My back side is the only part of my body to see the sun !! Speaking of neighbour I.m sure she thinks I am a real whimp .I had to go and get her to remove her aggresive nasty cat out of my house this afternoon as he wouldn't let me climb my stairs .Just growled and spat at me . Reminds me water pistol on my shopping list .
Elaine congrats for going into town on your own I know how difficult it can be .
love to all of you kathy xx ( who isn't really grumpy )

Deana its was a few years ago when I took dog to the clippers shop thats when she growled. I only cut the dog this week because her fur was getting far to long and even when you brushed her she got tangles so I am afraid she had to be done. she has a coat to put on when I take her walkies. She was loveling me cutting her its other strangers she doesnt trust. If a man in a cap walks by she ducks down. I think a man who had her before used to hit her because she doesnt like men very much stroking her head. She only lets me hubby and kids stroke her head. she loves kids coming out of school she gets really excited. she will go running up to greet you. our Rosies lovely you should see her with the cat. The cat at the top of the landing puts her paw up to the dog touches her then they run down stair together there just like a pair of kids playing tig. love shaza

Hi all, sorry not a very good message, but have been thinking about you all. Have been out gardening a bit more over the Bank Holiday but would rather do it when o.h. is at work, otherwise he is trying to get rid of my plants when he spots them. Four weeks today I will be on holiday with him in Heacham, have already found the address of the internet cafe a couple of miles away. Want to get my bus pass sorted out so I can hop on a bus if I want and leave him to his own devices lol There is a coast hopper bus I think that goes up and down the stretch of coast where I will be so could use that and enjoy myself. Hope you are all enjoying the nice weather and it helps you feel brighter. love and hugs Lizxxx

I would NEVER comment on your brain Joyce... never... and I have had a head scan too.... they found nothing.... Allan and Tony were somehow not surprised!
What do you think they meant by that??
Sharon... with the dog, I was only joke . I'm sure you are a good 'mummy' to your animals. It is funny how cars and dogs get on so well in the 'same family' isn't it? We had them too.
Sharron... I'm sure you are right about your theory. I had a depression for many many years.... then he left me!! ;-0)
As you rightly said... I was the victim, and the B****** would constantly tell me how mad I was.... unhappiness at its worst because no one knows. the next depression came with trying very hard to look after my children and work at the same time..... BUT this Depression is unaccountable. I have a good husband a good son who does anything for us. I also have had (still have) Agoraphobia. That started at a time in my life when I was so happy and it hit me like a brick. So there are depressions... which are, *fedupness* to give them a name of their own or plain unhappiness, and there is depression, which is medical. Goodness knows what starts them or why they make us so ill, but they do. Whichever your type is love, you are now in the club of a bunch of lovely people. I would have my trust in humanity destroyed if ever anyone on this site hurt me... or anyone else on here.x
Well I have to go just now, but I will be back.... Love to all, see you later. Deanna XX
