Hi everyone. I am so happy to be back here... You will think I'm being trite, but it feels like 'coming home from hospital'.
I've missed you. don't know where Joyce is today, but yesterday she had her computer classes in the morning. Bless her she is such a CHEEKY so-and-so to me. I love it, all my friends are like that to me, and I to them.
Caz is not too well at the moment is she?
My friend Mary has had flu, her granddaughter is still in hospital, my poor man is still waiting to see the cardiologist again.... and my son can't have an appointment the cardiac nurse until......... JULY!! she did phone him the other day to introduce herself and ask him about his health and his problems. Sounds good. She is starting him on a light regime to be going on with. a 5 minute walk (step out) every day. If he does okay... then put it up to 10 minutes. she will get back to him.
It is so sad, he was a very fit and active man... a five minute walk to him was not worth putting his shoes on for! He used to walk from our house to the next town to buy his martial arts magazine... and he loved it. he used to race the bus up town. he and his pal used to walk miles and miles together, with a bottle of water each in their back packs.
Oh boy am I getting miserable here! I just hope that this nurse can do something for him. The cardiologist do something for Allan, and the two of them can start going swimming and walking again.
You wont believe me, but I'm feeling ill again.....

Deanna, you are stressing about your husband and son and making yourself poorly. They wont want that. try to concentrate on you for a change, it is great to see you posting again and hopefully both your lovely Alan and your son will be sorted. Although it seems a long time to wait until July.
Is Joyce going to post again, or has she given up? Not sure why she isn't posting but do miss her on this thread.

Ann you are probably right, but it is hard isn't it?
We are having no tea tonight,Allan can have fruit if he gets peckish later. Can't find the pills the doctor gave me to put under my top lip to stop me being sick... and all in all I'm a mess.
I really thought I was better too.
Right ..... lots of love to all of you , I have missed you.
Janet, Mary.. Colleen's mummy ;-0), Eileen, Ann GG, Elaine, Sue, Kathy, Carole... enjoy seeing mum fatten dad up, bless them both. Gail, Gill, Sharon, Wendy...... If I have forgotten any of you, I'm sorry. I am going to try and remember as many names as I possibly can. I realised that seeing my name up there and being missed is an amazing fillip to our little hearts. It helped me anyway.
Look after yourselves, and I hope i will be okay tomorrow.
About Joyce... I am trying to think what she said... she is reading the messages, but not able to post as yet. You know what she is like... she could be sitting there with her leg hanging off...saying "I'll be fine tomorrow girls...* BUT SHE WILL BE BACK.
Good night all. Deanna XXXx

Rach, In a small way I know how you feel about everyone around you being pregnant. I waited 6 years for my second child, granted it can't compare with your anguish but in that time I was always seeing pregnant girls.
And of course it is difficult to talk to your OH, sometimes we forget that it is not only we females who suffer in this situation. But are you unable to help each other through it at all?
I know it is all fresh in your minds and it is early days yet but would you ever consider the sort of thing TOR does when she has te Chynobl (sp) children to stay?
Thinking of you, be strong

Good morning everyone.
I did not know we had BENDY WENDY.... that was a blast from the past. How are you? Silly question... you are here on our thread.
I had the most awful night. I had a bad stomach and spent most of my time feeling sick, and worrying about it. After last week I did not need another bout of that. I do not understand what is going on with me. I am on 20mgs OMEPRAZOLE in the morning, and 20mgs in the evening! That is a lot. Plus, I had had nothing to eat from about 3.00 a lovely danish and a coffee.... AND yet, I was in agony all night... This morning I had my porridge, although I was a bit worried about eating it. Still can't find my pills. The Omeprazole is to combat the effects of the Steroids, Warfarin, and the iron tablets! Wonderful isn't it? Pill for this, pill for that, pill for the other.. 'gonna' ruin your stomach... so take THESE PILLS to stop it!! ;-0)
A well. Caz is spending a lot of time in bed as far as I can gather. She is not having what I would call a great time! But she will be back.
Joyce has lost her next door neighbour, so yesterday was a bit of a hard day for her.... she will tell you herself.... because SHE will also be back.
I'm off to sort myself out now. Wash, but not dress. I think if I put a bra on I'd die. So I'll just put a kaftan on, and see how I am later.
Love to you all, and I'm not able to name you all, but you know how I feel don't you? ;-0)

Firstly love to everyone who is suffering mentally or physically.
Today I have managed to do my washing and tidy some paperwork. Only a little can't face anymore yet.
My Warfarin dose has been upped again but can't get my INR above 1.7 (the target is 2.5) so more bloods being drawn on Tuesday.
OH phoned for my follow up with surgeon and was offered July 4th. He told them that wasn't good enough and we are now seeing him next Wednesday at a different hospital.
Depending on what he says, and if we are not satisfied I am going to have a second opinion. I am sick to death of the pain and loss of mobility. I didn't have the operation to feel worse!!!
Finished twice a week physio now so will now only go once a week. That's assuming surgeon doesn't change his mind on Wednesday!
We went for a 30 minute walk (I use the word loosely) yesterday trying out the higher insole, it wasn't as bad but I still had to sit for 15 mins half way. Talk about an old crock!
Still waiting to hear from social services about a shower.
Going to have a lay down shortly so I'll finish now.
I hope everyone with physical symptoms get some relief and those with physchological problems can find the strength to face them.
Love Sue xx

Deanna, sorry you had a bad night. Do you think that the medication needs you to eat. maybe you felt sick because you had no food inside you, i am sure you should not take a lot of medication on an empty stomach. Also sometimes if you feel queasy and you worry about it you feel even more sick. a vicious circle. Hope you can sort it out. How about thinking about something you really really fancy and eating that.
Sharon, sorry you are feeling down, we are always here if you want to talk.
Sue, Do hope you can sort things with your surgeon it certainly doesn't sound good enough to me if you are worse off after the op than before. a second opinion may be the way to go.
Wendy???? Is it really Bendy? Or another Wendy?? There are a few on here.
Well I have almost completed my packing, from T shirt and shorts to sweater and raincoat, swimsuit (we have a lovely pool in the timeshare complex), waking boots etc. Ever optimistic and stubborn that I am going to go walking!!!
Better go and have some lunch OH just back from golf.
Carole, supposed to be wet tomorrow and Sunday, sunny Monday.

Hi everyone not been on so much due to anxiety attacks which are playing havoc with my breathing and making me so tired. Few family worries causing all this but I worry too much about anything. Been today with o/h to get some more paint, finished kitchen (4 weeks) going to do the downstairs loo next. We bought some paint for the front bedroom as well, goodness only knows when that will get done. I am secretly tidying up the house before I win the lottery then I can move with a clear mind!!! lol Keep well and talking I love to hear how you all are and wish to goodness I could remember all I have read. My short term memory is dreadful, keep putting off going to the doc. Bye for now everyone Love Janet

No Ann, I had had a coffee and a bun at about three. So I could not possibly have been hungry. Also, I am on 40mgs of Omeprazole a day So should not feel any acid in my stomach... I'll tell her next time she calls me. It may have been a bot hanging over from the other illness I've just recovered from. I've been okay today though... well after dinner I was better.
Anyway... tea time now. I am much better.... been on here since about 3.00.. couldn't have done that last week.
Eileen, been through the grandchildren bit, so I know exactly what you are saying. I used to say to my friends , that the most wonderful sight in the world was my granddaughters tiny hands waving from the back of the car..... going home! My friends used to say I was terrible, and then they had their grandchildren!
You love them to bits, do anything for them, but you have been there and it is not easy looking after children. Comes a time when you just CANNOT do it. Look after Eileen... x
Sharon, I know what that is like too. We all do. Crying was once my best friend! If you have a need to talk, I would be happy to listen, but then so would anyone on this site. x
Sue, Allan was on 71/2 mgs a day before they could get his INR right... and that only brought it up to 2.2 I'm on 3mgs M W F... 2.1/2 the other four days. Mt INR is 3.3 at the moment.
Good night all, Allan has called me for my tea... don't know what it is, but I can smell something nice. Probably toast! ha ha ha...
See you all tomorrow, love, Deanna XXX
