Dentist trip was fine, thank you for asking Twinkle.Sorry, I don't know your name.We only had to have our teeth polished,or is it de-scaled? No, that's what you do to a kettle, isn't it?Normally, the dentist does this himself, because I have to take anti biotics before he can really do this job properly, due to having open-heart surgery years ago.Nuisance, because it means two visits. This time his daughter did it, we were all in and out within about 17 minutes, so it wasn't a really thorough job.Lovely girl though. |

Eileen a rodent ulcer is a basal cell carcinoma. i.e. a type of tumour that doesn't spread and once removed is no problem. Mine, which I had had for some years was fairly big so the scar is quite big too. Rodent ulcers are as a result of sunburn at some stage, or are activated by sun. Mine started as a patch from biological washing powder in the 70s but stayed dormant for a while before the tumour formed. They are fairly slow growing but do grow and mine would have got bigger and I assume could have turned nasty if left. |

Hi Carolina - very worrying for you but bear in mind that the vast majority of lumps are just that, lumps and nothing else. Just keep positive - no good saying don't worry, cos of course you will but try what I always do - usually works - expect the worst and hope for the best, it never turns out as bad as you imagined it would be!!! Also, if GP is waiting two weeks that surely is an excellent sign, if he thought it was the worst he'd have you whipped in immediately - think on that!!! |

I agree with ann it's our imagination that scare's us the most but we must dare to dream in order to get out of our nightmares . carolina its hard to watch the one's you love go though bad thing's but by the sound of it they have each other to standby which is better than standing alone and we will be here for you! gill I hope your appointment went ok. it's abit like peeling an onion the more layer's the more you cry but it's worth it in the end I found the hardest bit was trusting the person I was taking to. hug's to all |

Just back from the doctors had a lovely three quarters of an hour with a very nice lady who told me it is ok to feel like I feel and that I am suffering with severe depression but we have agreed that I will see the councellor and not have anti depressants it is such a relief to be told how I feel is normal and my blood pressure has gone down too |

Morning all, looking at a dark and dreary morning, there's nothing for it but the dreaded hous----k. The one dog is a bit nuts so I guess there's thunder in the air - when I feel migraine starting, she responds by barking at everything in sight, just what one needs with a headache. . Had a very good sleep for once and raring to go by 8:15am. |
