Just received an e-mail from Di to say Jason had died, now reading through this thread and find he is injured but still alive. Jason, stick in there man, get well soon and join Max. I think you deserved a well-earned holiday together. Greetings to Max and so happy for you that Jason is ok. I went to the market today and was caught in a downpour of rain. In fact it has rained here all morning. Don't mind so much in the morning as my hairdresser is coming this afternoon. Not much news, but just wanted to add my greetings to Max and Jason. Sylvia xxx

Hi everyone, Its another sunny day, though that seems rather insignificant after yesterday's events. Kathleen and Elisabeth, I haven't heard anything of Max for ages.I am pleased to hear that Jason is alive, please give my Best wishes to Max, when next you speak. I am pleased Susan is home and able to continue with her treatment. I thought I had posted yesterday but I must have been taken up by the news, I heard quite early on that there was a problem and I was frantically trying to find a News programme, both BBC and ITV were still showing their usual programmes. When I switched to Sky News, unfortunately it confirmed the worst . Sylvia v O, Good news for Johan thogh I expect you will be glad when we reach the end of the month. Sorry I have to go now, Have a good weekend and take care. Love June xx

Wonderful news but we can only imagine what Max went through. Her relief at finding Jason still alive must have been as overwhelming as her grief at being told he had died. Can't find words to write more now. God bless Love Kathleen

Hi Everybody Great news Kathleen for your friend Max my best wishes for a quick recovery for her Jason. Still a little too hard to write about trivial things when others are still waiting anxiously for news of their family and friends. Also thinking of Jacquie/Oleander and hoping they were safe from the hurricane which passed on and hit Cuba. Regards to All JudyNZ

Hello everyone Thursday evening I changed channels to watch the news and saw the shocking events in London on your Thursday morning. My niece is on a working holiday and has an evening job in a London bar and was woken by the morning explosion. She contacted by brother to say she was safe and then told how her flat mate was running late for work and had missed the bus that was blown apart. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured and the families of the those who died. Today we got the washing dried the last few days its be heavy rain and the ground is quite muddy under foot. The other day whilst surfing the net I visited the 'old friends' page and saw a photo of my fifth form year. The person who put it there was able to identify a few of the boys and put ? as being unknown. I couldn't believe it, I got hold of my old photos and there printed on the back were the surnames of all the guys along with the teachers names. I've been in contact so its now a matter of sending them on. John

Just a quick Hi from me....as Judy says hard to write about trivia.... Thankful everyone is safe and can't imagine how Max must be feeling....what a terrible thing to happen....and them a wonderful thing....fate has a way!! Well, that's our first actual hurricane out of the way....well out of our way but Cuba is well prepared... they have evacuated loads of people and have good shelters... They say there could be tornadoes heading for Florida... But it is only cat. 2 at the moment so hopefully will not cause too much damage. Thank you Judy for your concern.....much appreciated. Hi everyon, Its a beautiful sunny day here. I got the paint etc to refresh the bathroom yesterday, everytime i do that, we have lovely sunshine so the decorating gets postponed. I haven't anything planned apart from taking my granddaughter to work and then collecting her again later. I still keep thinking of Max and what she (and others) went through on Thursday. I know we have to move on but I fear there may be more to come yet. Brenda, I hope you have a nice meal at your friends, thats much better than having to go home and cook your own. Kathleen, I hope both you and Susan are improving day by day. Judy, I agree its hard to write on trivial things and yet sometimes we have to do the trivial things to take our minds off the atrocities. John, I'm glad to hear your niece is safe. What look finding your old clasmates. Jacqui, I'm glad the hurricane passed you by, I cant imagine what it must feel like. I hope you dont have more. I can hear movement so I had better go now, Take care everyone. Love June xx

Afternoon all, I have not had any more news yet from Max. I assume she is at the hospital or taking some much needed rest. She must be physically and emotionally exhausted. This is all so cruel after all she has had to endure over the past few years. I sent a mail to Colin to see if he had any more information but I haven't had a return mail yet. As soon as I hear anything, I will post a message, as will Kathleen I'm sure. I have to go off line for a while now to tend to elderly relatives, so don't expect an update from me for a while. Love to all, Elisabeth x

Hi all, I hardly dare look at the tele at the moment. The death figures are just increasing and they still have more bodies to get out when they can reach them in the underground. What a mess. What is always so sad are those bodies who they cannot identify. Possible tourists whose family will never know what happened to them. What thoughts I am having! I have been keeping myself busy as usual and made a lovely sultana loaf and a chocolate fatless sponge. I've frozen the sponge cake in and will get it out on Tuesday and make it up for a visit to my daughter on Wednesday. I've also done Linda's delicate underwear and some of her holiday washing. She doesn't like to put it in the washbin at home as being so many in the house it doesn't get special treatment. Sometimes my house feels like a bakery, laundry and dressmakers. I've knocked a few sequins off Linda's top so will have to see if I have some to sew on again. Well tomorrow is another day! Sending my best wishes to all those who have loved ones who are ill. Hi again Thoughts and best wishes are with all in Birmingham. This will always be a way of life I fear, always wondering where the next threat is coming from. These low life are like a deadly virus, spreading there poison everywhere. You're right June, we must carry on with our lives and prove that no matter what they can't take or get the better of our personal freedom. I renewed my GR sub yesterday and although we complain from time to time about the slowness of this site etc. I would hate to be without news of you all and share in your many diverse activities. So glad to hear those who have been ill are now having happier days and Sylvia v O your baking sounds heavenly wish you would pop over here for afternoon tea ! Fred, haven't heard from you for a day or two,did you keep up with the Lions tour ? We shall miss them and Prince William, all lovely young men and the large support group who came over as well. They were fantastic representatives of Britain and a credit to all But I'm sure they are now anxious to be home with their families. Well enough of my ramblings, regards to all JudyNZ

Hi everyone, It looks like we are in for another hot day, It was so lovely yesterday and we had a lovely BBQ. I was very lazy yesterday, we went to lookat another house, it was beautiful but not big enough for what we need, I dont know why these estate agents send you to houses that dont have all the rooms you ask for. The trouble is the housing market has slowed down so much that the estate agents are desperate to sell just to try to meet their overheads. I didn't watch TV at all yesterday, I was getting upset for all these poor people and their families but today I feel I want to know what is going on. Thankyou Elisabeth for trying to find out more about Max and Jason, she has had more than her fair of troubles in this last few years. I hope your elderly relatives are alright, this hot weather can sometimes cause problems for them. Sylvia v O, To me your house sounds like a proper home, very welcoming. I have been around a lot of houses lately and some look just like show houses, as though they have never had a lovely meal cooked in them. not very welcoming at all. JudyNZ, My subs dont expire until Feb 2006 but I will be renewing too. You lovely people are all part of my life now and I would miss hearing what you are all up to. Kathleen, I hope you and Susan are improving, if you manage to speak to Max please pass on my good wishes. Best Wishes to everyone else and I hope to speak to you all soon. Love June xx

Hi all, Yes June my house has always been opendoor to everybody. I remember my two daughters as teenagers meeting two boys in our shopping street and they came back and asked me if these boys could pitch their tent in our garden. Of course I said 'yes'. But............ in the middle of the night it began to rain, and............... you've guessed, I brought the boys indoors to sleep! This is the sort of house we've always had. Whenever I meet ex pupils of the girls from school they always remind me of those days. Yes, I wonder where Fred is these days. Do hope he is ok. We're in for a nice day today, so am going to take it easy. I have some chicory in the house so will wrap it in ham and throw a layer of cheese over and into the oven with mashed potatoes and a cheese sauce. Johan can peel the potatoes. Alls fair for a Sunday! Have a nice weekend Max and Jason, you really deserve it. Sylvia xxx
