Hi everyone, Its rather dull here today, it doesn't look very inviting at all, roll on Spring. Fortuneately on Saturday I wasn't on the boards so thankgoodness I missed the horrible threads but I was talking with a friend on MSN and kept peeping in last night, so I was one of the many that emailed Genes to remove the threads. Any one would think we were in a children's playground, (sorry children, thats an insult to you) I haven't a lot planned for today, I think I will tidy some drawers/cupboards out and get rid of things I haven't used for ages. Sylvia, I have never been to Centre Parcs, but I have heard it is very good there, thats another thing on my "TODO" list. Fred,AKA Alan, I had to smile at Liz getting a shield and beating you. Come On Liz! Liz 1 Fred 0 hooray! Brenda, I bet your dad enjoyed the get together too, especially with his brothers and sisters there. I cant type when people are watching either. Yes, I see Di in the Simple Life programme, too. Kathleen, I'm glad you are sleeping a bit better and I hope Susan is continuing to make progress. Schools seem to have slipped a bit in some areas such as addresses, I would have thought that with computers it was easy to keep track of things. Di, I was quite pleased with myself for not getting involved last night, it was rather hard at times. I'm wondering where Jude is too, I miss her lovely messages. I hope you are alright too Elisabeth. Take care everyone. Love June xx

Coooooeeee - its me ;~) Just read through very quickly the previous messages, l've been popping in and out all week and then get waylayed, especially over the weekend - my word what a sad situation. As you may have noticed l have made one or two comments, one of which l deleted!! - lets hope GC can sort it out!! Thank you those of you who have asked "where's Jude", bless:o) l was spelled bound yesterday with the nasty threads, but l did manage to watch the film "The Green Mile", did'nt get to bed until 2am, but what a lovely film - l had seen it before, but had forgotten some of it. That nasty prison officer sure got his comupance!!!! Guess what??????? what you say!!!! MAD DOG MADOC starts training on Wednesday evening, can't wait, then l can walk him further, at present my finger joints feel as though they have popped out!! not all the time, only when he's pulling. Yesterday l was sitting on the sofa scoffing toast and marmalade, dog sitting next to me on his blanket (king kong), he kept lifting his head with sad eyes which were saying "go on give us abit", all l had to say was "put your head down" AND HE DID, l could'nt stop laughing, bless im:)) Fred - how clever is your Liz!!! and you of course:o)) take it easy. Di - before l forget, l looked at the GC photo's page and saw you hubbies dog portraits, wow, they are fantastic - does he do commissions?? know what you mean about hubbies hanging around in the kitchen!! Sylvia - we went to Center Parcs some years ago, the children were about 12 and 14 yrs old, we had a great time :o) June l have joined Webshots now, not put anything on there yet. l installed the screen saver thingy, but that means l can't get picture of my Lady on there - is it ok to uninstall the screen saver, will it mess anything else up. When l started to it said something about losing other things! ?? l had another email from Peter with another album of Australia, his travels, fantastic! I have been so lazy this last week - started to make a pot holder, abit like an oven glove, but it looks so pathetic, so l left everything out on the table, you should have seen the mess - then l decided to have another go at the tiles, yep you guessed it l left another mess. Ooo l did take some photo's of my Indian tiles, there not on the pc yet,but as soon as they are l will put them onGC photo's. The shelves are'nt ready yet, b.i.l has to make some shelves for sister first and he works full time, a busy man! Hubby has just put a nest thingy up in the eaves of house, think its the eaves, probably nothing like it!!! lol. See this /\ shape, well pretend this is our roof, the nest is at the bottom of the /\, not the pointed bit!!! l also have one of those (hang on l'll go get it) Red Mason bee nesting tubes (could'nt remember what it was called!). They are put out in the spring in a safe secure place and the Red Mason bees make homes in the little tubes, there are 30 tubes in the container. l think we will have to to string it up somewhere, or it will get blown about. We already have a bug thingy where 3 insects have burrowed in and cut a leaf to fit the hole for a door. l was gobsmacked (not a difficult thing to do now adays! lol) when l saw this little bit of leaf jammed in the hole, amazing!!!:o) Ookey dokey l think l have rattled on enough now. Hubby is miffed cause l'm not taking the dog out with him - but l have promised to go with him at about 4pm (gawd l've done it now) Kathleen - l do hope all is well with your Susan and that she is resting. She is always in my thoughts, even though l sometimes forget to mention it. All of you are, you're all such a lovely bunch of people:o) Take care :o) jude sarf wales xx

Monday again, here I am Hi, A normal Monday morning tidying up my sitting room after the weekend, washing, tidying out drawers - Spring cleaning has come earlier this year! Yes, Di, it takes a lot of restraint when you see somebody who splattered your name all over the Board telling others not to do it. I never did mention names, nor will I ever do it. Such a shame, this seems to happen time and time again. No mention yet from GC! My husband fitted up a new birds breeding nest on our balcony today (a Xmas present I had). Have to wait now for the blue tits to come around. Nice to see you again Jude, and Madoc. June, is a regular writer. Fred, our one and only male writer, or at least regular writer. The tulips I bought last Friday are now coming out nicely in my flower vase. They are pink and white. They remind me that Spring is just around the corner!

Hi everyone, Its dull again here but yesterday turned out nice and sunny so lets hope that is what happens again today. Its the day that I go next door and let their 2 golden retrievers out, they are gorgeous dogs, one of them has had an operation on his leg and has ended up having 3 operations because the first 2 didn't work as well as should have done. I just hope he is a bit better this week, last week I went in twice just to cuddle him, he looked so sorry for himself. Jude, At first Webshots took my picture of Beckham off but Gaynor did something to stop the Webshots and put Beckham, I'll ask her what she did. Peter's photos are very good aren't they, those particular photos were taken a few years ago He and Betty are off again for a few days so we will be getting more shortly. You will have to get your photos on there so that I can have a peep. Sylvia, Spring must be on its way, people putting out bird boxes etc. I am busy tidying out drawers and cupboards. I did get an email back from Genes, thanking me for bringing the trouble to their attention and would I do so again if the trouble arose again. I also found it difficult not to add, but it only prolongs the argument if you do. Brenda, Fancy calling us busy with the way you rush around all the time. How is your Leg/back these days? Di, yes it is a nice relaxing thread isn't it? I heard the other day that the subs have gone up to £9.50. I have only heard this from one person and I am sure that there would have been more comments if this was so. We have alot of magpies around where I live, fortuneately they soon fly away. Good old squirrel standing his/her ground! I haven't seen my squirrel for quite a while now but there does seem to be more cats in the area. Well I think I will make some breakfast now, See you tomorrow Love June xx

Hi everybody, Managed to get on the computer earlier today as my husband has gone into town. He is going to various shops which we don't have here in the harbour. He is then going to the library, which is bigger than our one. I saw him taking a whole lot of books back, so I know there will be a lot of books for him to sort out again. It's nice to have some time on one's own! This morning I went out to the shops and I met my friend's husband in the supermarket. I had just been looking at the potatoes - 2 bags for the price of 1 - and thinking how on earth I could carry potatoes home with the other shopping I needed. Lo and beholdl, he said shall I buy the potatoes and we'll split the difference. Sooner said than done, all ready for a bargain, especially when he brings the potatoes right up to my kitchenl It's a nice sunny day, so June Spring must be just around the corner. I even heard a blue tit the other day. Like you June, I've also started sorting out drawers and cupboards and throwing some things away. I received another mail order catalogue today with some nice new clothes in which I'd like, so will have to throw some old ones away again or they'll never fit in. I still haven't bought a black bra or vest for under my net shirt which I want to wear for my party. Cannot have a see-through shirt on at my age! Well I think I'd better get some dusting done in this room. I cannot get in here when my husband is home, so now is my chance. Have a nice day, Love, Sylvia xxx

Hiya Well l went on the walk with dog and hubby and yep l really enjoyed it. Took some photo's. l now have another digi camera, my sister won it and sent it on as she has'nt a computer (this is sister who lives in Sussex). Its less than a million pixels, can't do much editing with its software, but if l put photo on another fingy, l can then play with it - l hope!!!! l have put the Indian Tile photo's on GC Photo - oooo they are luvely, even though l say so myself. The weather is quite nice today and yesterday, sun peaking through clouds, l've even put some washing out. l may sound busy, but l can assure you l am not - l sit watching telly or play on here most of the day - start loads of projects and usually never finish them!!! sad really - l don't work and very rarely go to the charity shop now, feel l have let them down and myself - oh gawd l'm being a mizhog, sorry:o( June - how is Gaynor?? l meant to ask the other day!! Sylvia - l have about 5 books to return to library, l love craft books - not much more to choose from now, l think l have looked at them all:o( Ok must go, Vic is at work and Madoc needs a walk, which is good cause it'll get me out;~) l'll bath him later he's abit smelly:o(( Jude sarf wales xx

Hi Everyone, had an early night tonight as I felt a bit "off and took some flu cap stuff, slept for just over an hour and have been wide awake since.!!! June,as I am typing this my leg is aching terribly as I have been on here putting some pictures on from saturday and emailing them to my brother ,sister and cousins. It did seem to be so much better lately, but there again I have not been sat here for long recently. Di ,I am with you about the lovelly people on here.I think Ann might be either visiting relations or on holiday. Jude wish our dog would jump in the bath ,he just likes having water thrown over him ,he doesn't like to be in it. Sylvia,I also had a mail order catalogue and have ordered some new sandals, theyare nice evenibg type ones, ready for the summer. Will have to get rid of some others to make room. Speak to you all tomorrow, take care ,Brenda

Kathleen Report 2 Feb 2005 02:37

Hi everyone. spent ages going through the pages looking for the thread, just popping in to read a couple of the others on the way and in that time Fred and Brenda took it to page 1. Sorry your leg is so painful again Brenda especially as you are not feeling well. I hope you manage to get some sleep and feel better soon. Fred/Alan, Liz is right about going along with Di's choice of plants - have you seen pictures of Di's garden? It makes me green with envy, it is lovely. June, those people who mentioned about the increase to £9.50 are right - it says so on the Help/FAQ bit, How to get started but some people seem to think that only applies to new members. I hope the doggy with the bad leg is better now after 3 operations. Jude, I bet Madoc has great fun when he goes to "school", when I took Kyzer the trainer said it wasn't the dogs that needed training but their owners. I suppose that is true sometimes. Madoc sounds such a happy little dog, he does seem to enjoy life, but why do they always have to find the most disgusting things to sniff around and worse - roll in. When my youngest daughter and I used to take our dogs for a walk by the river they would both jump in the water and come out smelling of Eau de Thames - really smelly. Di, hope John's back is better now. I loved the story of Rossi with the little toddler, what a great picture that would have made but bet you didn't have your camera with you? Is your weather any better now? It has been pretty dull and damp for the past couple of days, not quite so cold though. Sylvia, I have a picture in my head of where you live but it keeps changing all the time. Do you live in the Harbour area? I have only travelled through Holland on the train, and that was many years ago but I remember passing some very pretty places. Update on Susan, she has had the drain removed and is, I think, a little more comfortable now. Took her to the hospital this morning, then did a little shopping for her. She is very tired and a little bad-tempered, both Indira and I have had the sharp edge of her tongue in the last 2 days. Hopefully she will now start to feel a bit better, Two operations in 4 weeks is cause enough for anyone to feel a bit out of sorts and I think it is very painful still. Apologies if I have missed anyone, I enjoy this little haven of peace and friendliness. What has happened to Anne in Belfast? She hasn't been around for a while. Goodnight for now God bless Love Kathleen

June Report 2 Feb 2005 08:30

Hi everyone, Its raining for a change, I have a horrible feeling though that it isn't going to soak right into the ground. Yesterday I had a good clear out of drawers, throwing away bills and so forth, that didn't really need saving. On Monday, Samantha decided to paint one of my bedrooms, she hasn't finished but did a very good job of what she did do. So I have drawers etc. on the landing and I am not as slim as I used to be, thanks to steroida! Yesterday she didn't do anymore painting, I'm hoping she hasn't got fed up already. Sylvia, I think you had better go and buy that black bra and vest, otherwise we may see you on Page 3 of the newspaper! Jude, Gaynor says she just went ahead and uninstalled the Webshots screen saver and mine is alright. Gaynor is on a strict diet now, she has to lose some weight from her chest because when they operate on her spine, she will be lying on her front. Thanks for asking after her. Beckham is always jumping in the bath, standing hoping someone will turn the shower on. Brenda, Sorry to hear the leg is giving you more pain, keep an eye on that. My cataogues have started arriving too and so far I have resisted the temptation to look through them, I dont want tempting! Kathleen, When I went in to let Ben (the dog who has had the operations) , he did seem a bit better today when he stood up but he still isn't walking very much. I'm pleased Susan has progressed a bit further, she will get a little better every day, its understandable that she hasn't quite got her usual patience and I bet she regrets it as soon as she has said something, as we all do. Give her a gentle cuddle from me. I am off now to look at Jude's photos. See you tomorrow Love June xx

Hi everybody, Well I was up reasonably early to start putting away my embroidery silks as my needlework is now finished. Next job will be framing them. But, I started sorting out my wools. I found a sock almost knitted and enough wool to finish it. Lo and behold the 5 kilo bale of sock wool I had ordered on the internet came today, so I shall be busy knitting socks. Sister Sylvia's not knitting socks for soldiers, but for Johan! Jude if you want to see some nice cards call this site up: http://kaartenwinkel.101tips.nl. I have ordered several cards from this person as samples. I will then make my own. She has some things in English too. How is your leg Brenda? Kathleen, yes I do live in the harbour part of Almere which is in the polder - reclaimed land. Actually living on what used to be water only 27 years ago! My husband has been trying to build in another input on our computer, but thinks he has the wrong input. He will have to take it back I think. Linda, my granddaughter phoned me this morning and asked if she could stay for dinner. Of course she could. She came and did the cleaning this afternoon and we sat having a nice chat and then had dinner together. She had what we call "Bell service". She has to phone up several people for our motoring organisation and ask them why they are giving up their membership. On Saturday she has to stand on the station and ask people if they feel safe on railway stations. She gets well paid for this, which is why she does it. The weather has been horrible today, so am glad I went out yesterday. Have a nice evening all, come back Fred, Di, etc. and join us again. Sylvia xxx

Evening all:o)) Okey you ready for this????? We finally found the training centre having taken the wrong turning! Parked up and in we went - l was really excited!!! The trainer had been warned about Madoc's very energetic behaviour and over the top vocals!!! lol He squelled with delight until he saw her dog, then he barked and barked and barked - fine we expected some of that. He calmed down, she chatted alot about her dog and not to let Madoc off the lead as her dog was'nt too keen to have other dogs charge at him etc ,but her dog would not move,he was very obedient. Everynow and then Madoc would have another barking session and get excited and then he SLIPPED his collar and attacked her dog!!!!!!!!! OH MY GAWD, l thought one or both were going to be in an awful staight.Hubby was trying to use his foot to get Madoc off the other one (not kicking), then the lady got an old tray and banged it really hard and low and behold they stopped!!!!! l was so gobsmacked l just stood there. Neither dogs were hurt it was all noise and dribble fortunately. Madoc started it and l should have told him off and shouted at him.Her dog is not a fighter, just does'nt like other dogs jumping all over him, which Madoc likes to do. Madoc has shown signs of aggression before with some dogs, then another day he would be fine with the same dog!!. Anyway for training purposes we will use a choke collar, which was very helpful today. After the little disagreement we had to take it in turns to walk Madoc round her dog, using the choke (l asked for it cause l was worried his collar would slip again.Needs another hole in it! never happened before). The first time he pulled to get to her dog again (hers just sat there!!), with a few tugs on the collar and a few more sessions he was fine:o)))) so we will carry on with a choke collar for a few weeks, phone her again and go from there. We'll definately go back, but it will be a while before he can go into a class of other dogs.We now have to be stricter with him - she says we are doing most things correctly with him,but not forceful enough in some area's. Sorry Madoc l'll have to shout more!!! June - please say thank you to Gaynor, l will uninstall it.They are lovely photo, but l want my Lady back!! Did you see the Tiles on GC photo page?? Please also tell Gaynor good luck with her diet and her op. Sylvia - thank you, l will take a look tonight before l go to bed. Fred - he is adoreable, even after this evening!! He was shattered though, fell asleep in back of car. Brenda - l do hope your leg is ok, take care:o) Kathleen - do hope Susan is feeling better soon, she has really been put through the mill.Take care:o) Nite nite everyone:o) Arrrrrrrrrrrrr Madoc has just come up to see me, bless him:o)))))) Hope everyone not mentioned is ok?? jude sarf wales xx

Morning everyone, not such a good one here, but it is dry.We have had two fairly mild and spring like days ,we have been lulled into a false sense of security as far as the weather goes. Sylvia, you are a very creative person doing the cards and socks and embroidery,I have been given cross stitch samplers in the past to sew and they are on my to do list, but this thing I am on at the minute takes most of my spare time. Jue ,perhaps you should write a diary about Madocs training exploits ,then see about getting published ,sounds like you are going to have fun.!!!!!! I am going to get some muscle rub stuff for my leg to see that helps,if not I will go back to the doctors, Not had breakfast yet as I am off today and treated myself to an extra couple of hours in bed,So going for my tea and toasst.Take care brenda.

I've spent hours trying to sort things out and had to call in Linda our granddaughter, but it's still not perfect. I had planned to do so many other things - men, ugh! I had a good laugh at Jude's Madoc with his training classes. What fun was had by all. Will have to keep this text short as I've wasted so much time today.
