Hello Hazel
I do hope your Mum is out of her Misery soon. It must be so hard for you.
The hanging on and waiting in the worst part.
Maybe she is waiting for permission to go. I know when my mother was dying we said to her "Its OK Mum you can go we will be OK." She was in a coma at that stage
Within a few Minutes of us saying that she passed away. Maybe it is coincidence but my sister and I really believed she was waiting for permission.
Anyway you take care of yourself and I hope that your Mother soon has some peace.
Take Care
Love
Jackie

My friend at work has a 92 yr old MIL with dementia. My friend loves her so much. MIL fell on Christmas eve and was taken to hospital where after a few days was given a laxative, as she hadn't been . MIL would forget why she had pressed for a nurse even if she remembered why she had a button to press. Trying to get to the loo she fell and broke a bone in her leg and her spine. No sides were in use on her bed this day. Hospital policy to not use, as people are getting stuck in them. MIL is asking why her parents have not been to see her. If she has a job, and does she have a boyfriend? Latest she lifted her nightie to show her babies! Sister sugested the family give her a teddy or other soft toy. I know from listening to my friend how upsetting all this is for everyone.
Hazel, words can not say how I feel for you xxx

Hello Hazel,

Thinking of you, hoping it's not too much longer for you both.We had the same thing with my Dad,the caring staff at the nursing home had him in bed, with his favourite music playing softly.

It is so hard waiting, but at least when she does go,she will be in a better place, and no more pain. She will be free to be with her Mum.

My thoughts are with you,Hazel.

Love from Margot xx

hi LW
sorry to hear this about your mam
im sending you hugs, cos you must need it ,
its hard watching this suffereing,

your poor mam i hope her mam answers her calls and visits her in her dreams to reasure her,
i nursed elderly ladys like this in a nursing home and they too called their mum,
one in particular, she had beautiful painting by her bed, some staff told me it was of her when she was young,
shed scratched at it with her nails, but would call out mam, i would drive home at night in tears for her,

i send you love
and to your mam too
