Have not been on here for ages, but have been looking in to see the news on your mum for the last few days, I have been thinking so much about you especially as in the future i will be in your position not with my mother but my 48 year old sister who has terminal lung cancer.

Thinking of you and your mum

Thank you all for your support.

Mum is still hanging on in there, but has no quality of life, she cannot speak, eat ,drink or do anything at all, I think she will just pass away peacefully in her sleep, for her sake I hope it s soon.I have been with her day and night now for almost a week, she knows I am there, as she moves her arms to respond to me, the last time she managed to speak was 3 days ago. She has no pain and is comfortable, and really is at peace. Her sister came and said her goodbyes yesterday, it was so upsetting for everyone,
I am back down there now so will try and update when I next come home, my husband is being fantastic, he is doing everything in the house.

You are in my thoughts Ann.
I am sorry for your loss.

Even though you know the time has come for your Mum to be at peace, I know it doesn't ease the pain of losing her.
Thinking of you.

Ann,
not been able to write before, because of the memories,
So pleased that your mum is now at peace, I know it sounds wrong to say, but it is an awful disease and we shouldn't suffer like that.

Take care.
