Shimmer, yes I have a copy of the "Footstep" prayer it is wonderful.

Brian, my father passed away 8 years ago after 30 years of illness, my wonderful mum nursed him all that time.

On a more positive note, when I saw her last night, she was up, dressed and sat in the lounge area, talking to some of the otheer patients, she was bright and pain free, it was wonderful to see her so "well"

God bless you all

Ann

My pc has been playing up, sorry.

Yesterday mum was in excellent spirits, and still pain and sickness free. It wasnt a stroke she had, she has a problem with her right foot, she cannot flex it or move it at all, they have given her a caliper to wear, although I havent seen her use it yet. More good news, she may come home this week, we have had the adaptations team round to check our home is suitabke for her to come back to, and apart from a seat in the shower, all is fine. When this has been delivered ( tomorrow I think ) she will be re-assesed by the doctor and if she is as well as she has been over the last few days she can come home, I am so excited and releived.

Oh how the power of prayer works, thank you all so much

What lovely news, Ann, I hope all goes to plan so your Mum can come home again, I bet she will be missed in the hospice as she sounds as tho she has been a blessing to some there, staying cheerful.

Will be thinking about you both and hope all goes well.

Oh dear me, yesterday she had a major problem with her breathing, and she now has fluid on her lungs due to her heart not pumping correctly, they have changed one of her heart meds and given her water tablets to try to get rid of the excess fluid, but she gets exhausted now walking to the bathroom. She was so frail yesterday.
They said to me they want to sort this out before she comes home.
Thank you all so much for your kindness and prayers
Will she ever have peace

It is so hard, I am working full time and do find it difficult, she is on my mind all the time, my husband is so good he goes to see her each day and I go in the evening.

Ann, hope your Mum gets the fluid problem sorted so she can come home. How nice that your hubby visits her when you can't, try not to work yourself into the ground with all that is going on.
