Ann, I am glad things went as well as they could under the circumstances and nice that you heard so many good things about your Mum, what a star she must have been, now she can be one for real. It's nice that a friend of hers is keeping in contact with you and it will help when you feel low as she will be able to share memories with you. As you say, time does ease the pain but it's early days yet so treat yourself kindly.
love

I know it will get easier, as it did when my dad died 8 years ago, I still think of him every day, but now it is nice because it doesnt hurt any more. So I am trying to take comfort from that, but still feel lost and needing to talk to her, so when I am alone I have my little chats to her.

The funeral was on Tuesday 13th, that was a hard day for me, both the crematorium and the church were packed with people having to stand, there were lots of people I didnt know, who wanted to speak to me and tell me what a wonderful person mum was, and how much they missed her. I was exhausted at the end of the day. The service was wonderful, but there and again it should have been as mum left me instruction on everything she wanted, even down to where to get the sandwiches. I smile when I think of that.

I thank you all so much for your care and concern, and pray that all others who are in the situation that mum was in, get pain free and comfort.
The support I have had from mums church is amazing. I made a promise to mum that I wouldnt lose touch with one of the ladies from her church. ( she has spoken to me every day so far)

Thank you all
Ann

Ann,
not been able to write before, because of the memories,
So pleased that your mum is now at peace, I know it sounds wrong to say, but it is an awful disease and we shouldn't suffer like that.

Take care.

I am sorry for your loss.

Even though you know the time has come for your Mum to be at peace, I know it doesn't ease the pain of losing her.
