Hi Kathy - I've had that pleasure too - my son seems to get those ingrowing hairs which cause abscesses - nasty horrible things - if he catches them quickly enough antibiotics will zap them but if not it's an op! and like your son, usually on the bum!!

Hi Kathy, well I can see you have had a fun day lol Poor J, it isn't nice and he must be fed up, especially having to show you his butt lol Hope he can get them sorted soon, must be so uncomfortable. K's son had one several years ago and had to have an op. My son gets the ingrowing hairs in his beard, he is always fiddling with his facial hair often with grubby fingers and I keep telling him to stop before they get infected. He uses an exfoliating cream and a sponge to sort of scrub away at them but I know how much they annoy him so elsewhere must be worse.
Elaine, don't complain about the doctor, it was good he noticed the little lumps by your eyes, so you can get your cholestrol checked and sorted out. Also do try cutting the caffeine, but mention to your doctor that you feel thirsty a lot so he can check you out for other things too. Best to get a full MoT and then you will know in your heart of hearts you are ok, with whatever medication or adaptation of your diet is necessary, which might mean you worry less about the pains. When you ggot all shaky did you use the Rescue Remedy, I trhink you got some didn't you? If you try that several times, the panicky feeling might ease. Also why not get some fruit teas which are nice and don't have caffeine in. I am sure you will feel better soon, write a list to talk to the doc about so you don't panic and get muddled when you are there. Book a double apptmt too so you have more time with the doc. And do ring the Samaritans if you feel low and want an ear, they are very good and will listen without you thinking you are being a nuisance. Of course you can always come on here and talk to people too - you know I am around at night if you can't sleep. Good luck, love to all, Lizxxxx

Morning everyone
Elaine - sorry to hear you are still having a rough time of it, I get the shakes for no reason too, I usually cook some thing light to eat and it settles me, don't know why it just does. ((((((((((gentle hugs))))))))))) for you.
Well it seems another person has decided to play 'let's stab in the back' game but to be honest I couldn't give a toss anymore - and this particular person was never someone I would trust anyway.
It is just making me think about people and how far they should be trusted.
Anyhow, back to Easter monday, hope you aren't all feeling too sick after eating all those norty eggs.
Have a lovely day.

Morning Gill, you sound a lot better this morning, and as for the ' couldn't give a toss anymore' I am well pleased with you. I haven't seen the thread you spoke of but if I see an argument coming I come out of it, and I never reply. That's why I like this one, it feels safe and I trust us all.
Elaine I'm sorry you are feeling down again, when I read that you were with your cousin when you had the panic attack, I wondered if you might have been talking about your aunt. I'ts still very new and raw yet and natural to want to talk about her, but at the same time it's brings the sorrow and upset back. I would try what others have suggested and try decaff tea and coffee, never tried it myself so no idea what it's like.
Hi to everybody and I hope you didn't overdo the chocolate yesterday, I never had any, good girl that I am. Hope you all have a nice Easter Monday.
Caz xx

Elaine, Hi, hope you feel better today. Fruit teas are a good idea, I drink peppermint tea a lot of the time now and really like it, i especially like the green tea with peppermint.
Gill, I am sure that it is a good idea to eat something light if you feel shaky, it may be your blood sugar drops or something and a snack will boost it. I also read somewhere that often that feeling means we are dehydrated so drinking a glass of water helps too.
i haven't seen a contentious thread but well done for shrugging it off, while they are annoying you they are leaving other people alone. If that is how they get their kicks, ignore them they are not worth it.
YCaz I didn't have any easter eggs but I am still eating the huge box of chocolates my daughter sent me to cheer me up! They are lovely, really different and you can only eat a couple at a time they are very rich. (Hotel chocs)
Kathy, your poor boy, how embarrassing for him but well done for letting you see., it must be painful for him poor lad. Hope he can get them fixed soon.
Well, not doing a lot today, probably nip round the local garden centre for a coffee and change of scene. OH has developed a cough which I am hoping I don't get as it would be so painful coughing because of where the op was. so positive thoughts please that I don't catch it.

JOYCE P........ how very dare yah?
I would never try to pinch your position at message 3,000...... tee hee.
DUTCH JOYCE..... have you been to the doctors yet? Been worried about you all night.
CAZ..... your pains in the legs.... are they sort of 'jittery'... do your legs 'jump' when you are in bed? That is what mine are like and it is so painful... and annoying too. i find that mine are worse if I have been cold during the day. Does anyone else have this?
Just like ANN..... I would like to know about the rescue remedy spray!! What is it and is it an over the counter thing?
BEN..... you are the first person ever to make me realise that I have suffered from OCD...... Because I have listened to people with it and read about it and I have never understood why they do these things. You said this morning that **************** But I am managing to resist them as I know there is no link between OCD rituals and bad things happening. ***************
Thanks for that Ben, it is an eye opener. It takes my depressions back to when I was 21..... and in a bad way...... There was no singing in my house until a certain time..... the radio never went on until... a certain time..... Laughter was a sign of something dreadful happening.....
O.M.G..... I was in such a state and never saw it for what it was. I'm very good at blaming ME for things.... and it was not me, it was only my way of coping.
THANK YOU BEN.... and I hope you are well soon... it is not a pleasant thing.
I almost did not come on here today, as it is Easter Monday and I thought that I should spend it with my poor neglected husband.... ;-0) But now I am glad I came.
Have a good day everyone....

Elaine, regarding the panic while with your cousin, do you get like that with any other visitors? I went through a time which went on for ages where anyone coming to my house set me off into a panic, especially if I was in the house alone. My parents, family, friends, people from in my street, or a workman. Everything had to be arranged to happen when my OH was at home. Which annoyed him when such things as work on the house couldn't be done unless he was here when I was here anyway! Don't ask me what I thought would happen ( all would send me to the loo) I would start to get palpatations and feel hot and faint. I thought it was heart attack coming. Now I know it was (wish I could use italics) JUST panic. Again I do recommend Clair Weeks book.
Do you fear death? I do, and everytime I had a twinge somewhere I was dying!! Do you think your cousin brought back the recent pain of your aunt suffering and how it made you feel. Her funeral which was so hard to cope with, fresh in your mind would have been brought to the front of your subconcious mind, and made you panic. Keep the rescue remedy in a pocket always! You can use it as often as you need to. Also try relaxation, set time aside each day to go on your own, quiet somewhere comfortable, and do a relaxation ritual. Try the library for book's or recorded mediums to use. xxx I think it is being scarred of panic that makes it worse, learn to realise it will not kill you, relax, let it pass over you in a calm way, it will go away. xxx
Gill when ever a thread looks like it is turning against you, come off it. Do not post any replies. All you do is give them a reason to reply to your post! Do not go back to read any of it!! They will get boared. As you say give it the couldn't give a toss attitude xx Well done xx
Kathy OMG. J must have been worried about his bum to show it to you. It reminded me of years ago when I was 25 my dad cut his bum cheeck open while decorating at my house. He cut it on a bracket which a radiator had been removed. I had to patch him up. How funny now, but at the time to see my dad infront of me, with his trousers and pants half way down wasn't funny!! Hope J get's his crack better soon :o)
Carolina how have you been?
Betty ~~~~ xx so pleased things are looking up for you xx
Marion hi nice to see you still looking in :o) x
Love to everyone else have to go get ready to visit my parents. Put them off yesterday with promise of Kentucky fried chicken for dinner today!!!

Elaine, what a lovely Dr you have, how caring to phone you up. I think we all, to some extent, fear the worst when we get various pains. i think it is down to knowing so much these days. When our parents were young there was not so much knowledge broadcast about illnesses and symptoms so they couldn't worry about what they might or might not have. Consolation is that nine times out of ten it is not going to be what you fear so try and be a glass half full person rather than a glass half empty person. Easier said than done but i am sure statistics would prove me right. (must remember to take my own advice).

Morning clan Not much to add but have read all the messages since yesterday. Elaine I used to shake like that also, terrible anxiety, if I saw a flashing light ahead on the road I would take a side trip to avoid seeing whatever was there. Once I saw an accident while driving my husband to work, it had just happened,I won't go into gory details but I had to pull off the road I felt so awful, passed clean out on the side of the road (in the car) and he had to take over driving. For years after that scene I avoided seeing another whenever I could.
In my case I believe that dreadful fear/anxiety goes back to when I was a child in Cardiff, we were in the car en route to a holiday in Amroth, and there was a very bad accident. My Dad stopped, as a minister he felt he could perhaps be of help/support to the multiple injured. We sat there, seemd like hours, in our car, I was absolutely terrified, there were people dying right in front of me. Now I seem to be able to talk myself through the panic, focus on the road, drive straight through.
Funny, as a nurse, I have no problem doing first aid when one of my patients falls or has enormous skin tears, thoroughly enjoyed the time spent in the OR as a student, but I would probably be absolutely useless if confronted with blood spilled on the road. Seems I'm OK if I have to deal with it, if I have to watch someone else deal with it. I am hopeless.
Fear is a strange bedfellow. I want to be in charge of it, rather than let it control me. I don't always achieve it but fears wins less frequently now. Mind you, I've had a lot of years to practise.LOL
I, too, was absolutely terrified of the physical process of death - until I had a near-death experience. It was probably the most peaceful experience I had ever had , and will never be afraid of it again. I work in a Home for the aged, and deal with death regularly, which has also lessened my fear, it can be such a peaceful thing to watch someone close their eyes and slip away. I can be much more supportive of their families too, now that I have lost the fear myself.
Elaine please know we care, and feel free to express whatever it is that's causing you anxiety or grief, I don't believe any of us are prefessional psychologists, but between us we probably have several hundred years of experience, and some wisdom, to share. You're in the lifeboat with us. HUgs Mary

Hi everyone Been quite sunny here this morning but coming over dull now, it's suprising how a bit of sunshine can make you feel better. I wrote my list and could not believe how much I have agreed to do over the next month!!. Anyway the sun made me get started (you should see my kitchen-what a mess, hope the sun shines again tomorrow to get a bit more done lol) Elaine I am sorry to hear you are not well, sometimes when you go through a trauma and it ends that's when you can feel the blow, you have worked hard to deal with everything then wham, you just don't want to know the world about you. We know it will get easier again but this is a time when words don't mean much. Just know we are all here for you Gill I do hope whoever is upsetting you is feeling guilty. Ben and Malc hope you are coping today To all the ladies, (that's an easy way of not forgetting anyone) hope Easter has been good to you. Special mention for Carole, you are great Love Janetx

Janet, the one thing to remember is that you have made the list. don't feel guilty if you don't complete it all, you made it, you are entitled to extend it. Good luck.
Mary, that must have been very traumatic for a child to sit for so long near the scene of a bad accident. I think if you were my child I would have parked so you could not see if possible. No wonder you avoid accidents. I once was in a library with my daughter who was about 3 when nearby a lady collapsed and (I later found out), died. I had to usher my daughter away from the scene but there were plenty of people to help. However, after that i was really scared (I was about 23/4 at the time) that every elderly person I stood next to was going to collapse and die. talk about paranoid.
I don't fear death for myself, but I do fear seeing my loved ones die e.g my OH.

I've said before I'm frightened of death and can sense it. If I'm traveling and there are blue lights I tell people in the car with me not to let me see it!! But if I'm able I'm first to help!! An old man was collapsing in a shop I was working in and people stood looking, over to him I ran, with a stool, to lower him onto! I sent another assistant to ring for an ambulance and then left others to it. I was shaking!! There was a young lad laid in the High St his friends stood round him, he was having a fit, I did what I could, and stayed with him until he was okay, then his friends looked after him and said they would get him home. When my gran was ill in hospital on a ventilator I knew the woman next to her would die, she did. And there have been others. A very good friend is dying now of pancreatic cancer I know there is no cure but feel although she is on chemo she hasn't long left with us. When she get's to the point where I know she hasn't long left I'll be so scared to visit her. I know it's selfish I wish I could change but can't.
Elaine when you start listing all the names on here we'll know you are getting better xxx
