Hi Gill, lovely to see you, you are not a loser, get that out of your mind now. You have not let anyone down either, you came back to talk to us,please keep looking in. I think you are so deep inside your black cloud that things are getting out of proportion now, it does happen, so will you tell your doctor tomorrow exactly how you feel? And will you come back and tell us how you went on please, we are all willing you on, we are behind you, never forget that. |

Hi Deanna, Mary, Ann, yes it is the chemo Deanna, makes it very hard to do things, took me all morning to prepare veg for beef stew. There's only me that can think of doing stew when my fingers are sore but I'd got the meat out of freezer by then defrosting. Oh well, I suppose we we can all be a bit dizzy at times. |

yes I realise that now Mary, but I am one to do things from scratch, always have been. My sister says I make more work for myself, but I have always liked things home made, more satisfaction. |

I always make from scratch too, just thinking how your poor hands could have a rest. There is no question that scratch is the best , I use no Bisto or OXO, just meatjuices and seasonings. I keep frozen vegs for quick meals,or spur of the moment. |

Mary, girl after my own heart. I take short cuts now, frozen veg or those ready peeled etc I usually get mine when they are in the reduced tray, did a lovely casserole the other night with a bag of mixed root veg and a pack of reduced beef, opened a tin of peas to go in too, used a left over half jar of tomato and herb sauce out of the fridge, and served it all up on a bed of brown basmati rice. It tasted great even tho I say so myself, had left it slow cooking in oven for a couple of hours and was fine. |

Hi All, Liz, sorry about your counsellor, what a nuisance just when you found somebody, still I suppose even councellors can be ill!! Hopefully you will get another appointment soon. i was actually very lazy last week, found a bag of diced swede and carrots in tescos which I put in a casserole. actually it backfired on me as i only used three quarters of it and left the opened bag in the fridge. OH got something out of the fridge and picked up the diced veg bag - upside down- veg all over the fridge!!! |

Delicious Kerry, I felt good to have made it myself as well. Hubby has to do the cooking as I am not safe with cooker now, I burn myself a lot so I bought a slow cooker and it's wonderful, I'm in charge when I use it. |

glad the stews were nice. I did grilled pork chops, mash, mushrooms and beans. But OH has to mash the potatoes at the moment. He is on a steep learning curve as he has never done any cooking except fry. But now he can mash potatoes!!!! |
