Bernie, am so glad you are seeing your lads and hope you have a great time. Good luck with the move, I know how stressful that is and hope it goes well, what a star Simon is, a pat on the back for him and for you for coping so far.

Mary my friend, I hope things are working out for you. You sure need some good luck.

For Gail, please try to pop in sometimes if your membership has a while to go, I wil be on here little bits at a time to stop the headaches and I have to renew in February so hope I can stick it out, it won't be as nice if all my best pals are gone!

Caz, love and hugs to you and to Carole, hope the new computer behaves itself now.

Eileen, I don't mind having permission to look at your tree, lol, don't worry, hope you are coping ok and will have a lovely time with your family this Christmas.

Has anyone heard from our Betty? I thought she would have a new computer by now but nothing from her at all. I do hope all is well with her and her family.

To Clairejo? who is pregnant, I hope things are ok for you, a worrying time when you have gone through heartbreak before, I know only too well, but try and stay positive and come to see us when you can.

to all who have sent me cards, my apologies if I have not thanked you yet, i think I may have to put up a thank you thread as I am accumulating so many cards and can't remember who I have said thanks to. Still trying to write mine, the 'foreign' ones are on their way, well the ones going further afield so with any luck and a strong wind behind them they might arrive in time for Christmas, if not apologies but be sure I am wishing you the best time, andthe other cards, still to be written over the next week, second class to be off by Thursday 18th and first class a couple of days later!

Bah Humbug tree hunter, I too do not enjoy Christmas, i like all the cards sending and receiving as it keeps me in touch with my friends and relatives but otherwise would happily hibernate till it is over, just tuck me up somewhere warm with lots of chocolate!

Too many sad memories of various happenings around Christmas time for me to enjoy it, especially now my son is grown up, loved seeing him enjoy Christmas and it made it special for me then.

Yes i like sending the cards, i even use to cross stitch all mine.

Yes when kids were little i tried to make it good for them.But found it very hard.

I will be on my own this christmas. Use to go down mum boxing day for few days. But wont have that this year.

My daughter and grand daughter will be in Scotland this year. My son will be with his girlfriends family. I live to far for them to just pop in.

Too many bad things happen in my life to have a happy christmas as well.

Tree hunter hope you too find this helps. I find some people aviod those of us who for one reson or another are not always as cheerful as others expect us to be. I put a face on when out, it's hard work! No need to here.

Had good day yesterday, had friends come up to see me. Which is great as she has been having hard time she has cancer, she is like a sister to me.

I got her doing her family tree 3 years ago when she found out she had it and have helped her with it, she said its helped her get though this,

My mum died of cancer 3mts ago today,3mts before that my sister was told she had it as well. But so far so good,my sister is ok.

Both dont live near me so dont see them much now. but always on the phone having good old chat.

Not posted for a while as things were going pretty ok but now i am feeling really low.

I have never had good self esteem/image having a narcissistic mother didnt help (although that has been a recent discovery) i just feel that everyone else is prettier/cleverer/better than i am. went to the works xmas party my daughter took a pic of me all glamed up and wanted to put it on face book i look at same pic and see and unattractive overweight middle-age woman.

I dont want to always be miserable but i dont know how to stop myself felling this way.

I am convinced that i am mildly autistic as well as having dyspraxia .

Hi all not posted for a while but I am really miserable tonight and a bit scared cause I got a lump on my breast I think it a boil but its b****y agony, red and very angry :¬( hope you are all ok as can be?

My daughter put my picture on face book and i hate it, she said i look ok. But to me i look YUK. Always hated having my photo done anyway.

At least we can come on here and let them know how we are feeling with out worrying we will be ask to leave.

Treehunter how sad. It's so hard to see our loved ones suffer isn't it. A lady very dear to my husband and I has cancer of the pancreuss. She has been so brave, and hides her pain. But now is taking more morphine so we know it's getting worse. Pleased you had a good day yesterday.

Work tomorrow. Do I take the old imodium or get the driver to keep finding loos? Roll on Wednesday, when I finish work for Christmas. Not seen the pychologist for a few weeks think she has forgotten me.

Hope you have all had a reasonable week end. Oh thinks he may have flu. We'll see in the morning if he manages to go into work!

hi everyone hope everyones ok well im all moved in to my new home i must admit it was very stressful haha.I had a lovely time on saturday seeing my boys my youngest whos 10 didnt want to leave which was heart breaking but the good thing is im seeing them this saturday to whcih will be my xmas contact,anyway big hugs and lots of love to everyone.

Glad you had a good weekend Bernadette, it must have been lovely for you to see your children.
I haven't been on here much because it hurts my eyes but I think they must have changed it slightly as it's easier to read noe and wider.
I am getting myself in a pickle with my e-mails so will you bear with me all I owe one to, doesn't help with only having the mornings when I try to do some h****-***k either.
Glad you are still with us Gail, it was horrible the first time it came on with the changes, I pmd them twice giving them a polite version of my thoughts.
Has anyone seen or heard from Dutch, she has gone missing, no phone call or pm or anything since she came back. I am very worried now about her. The last I heard was a phone call while she waiting to set off for the airport to come home, wonder if she has eloped with the pilot, lol. Jan would have let us know if she was ill, I can't ring her as hubby has wiped all my numbers from phone (accidentely) and yes he did get told off.

I just wanted to say I have had a message from Eileen, she has an appointment at hospital on wednesday so please give her lots of thoughts, she has a suspected thyroid problem. which could be the answer to why she is feeling so exhausted.

Hi Ann thanks for letting us know about Eileen. I spoke to Dutch this morning, she rang me and we had a long chat, she's just been a bit down and Jan has been ill.
My doctor rang me tonight just as we were about to have tea, she had got the result of my x-ray through this afternoon and thought I would like to know it is clear, yippeeee. She read the letter out to me and it seems my heart is normal size and both lungs look in good condition, wow and I went through all that worry. She will have to look elsewhere for the cause of my breathlessness she said.

im back had anice time well sort of with my family but its very cold up there in yorkshire,should have replyed when i got back but due to one thing and another plus Jan was,nt well he had the flu,but went back to work today but next year he may be out of job as his firm is splitting it up and moving to Belguim,just have to wait and see what happens
