Anne, am curious, what is andrex?

Hope your back is a lot better soon.

I have been listening to audio books for a very long time now, couldn't bear not to be able to.The cassette tapes are fine, but it wakes me up when switching off.My son had put a lot of books on MP3/CD discs, these go on for about 9 or more hours. They use up a lot of batteries though.Books are too heavy and tiring to hold for long, aren't they? My handicapped daughter has been given an E-book for her birthday, so now lots of books can be downloaded, as she can't use her hands at all most of the time.

yet another bad day.

having just finished my college course and unsure quite what to next phoned up to book an appt at local careers advice centre only to be told i cant have one unless i pay £40 as you can only have 1 free appt a year and i had mine last july before i went to college.

Car needs 4 new tyres £350 (it a 4x4) nearly had a cow when they told me the price.

Then daughter gets home and starts teasing her cousin about a completely inappropriate thing and she has got another detention and has been told that if the teacher find any more negative comments in her planner she will be put on report and when i tried to tackle her about it she was very rude to me and stormed off and shut herself in her room and refused to open the door!

I find it so hard to cope with all these things all at the same time and keep bursting into tears.

Sophie
Just read the thread on chat. It does sound as if your friend needs professional help, but she has to want it herself. I would think being left by her mother has not helped her feelings of self worth. Is there any way you could persuade her to see her doctor, maybe say she is looking tired and does she think she needs something to help her sleep. maybe if she goes to the doctor he or she will sense something is wrong.

If she is not self harming is there any chance that drugs are involved? That can be another reason for a personality change and for not wanting to expose her arms.

It sounds as if you are being a good friend and helping her by being there for her, but professional help she has to get for herself.

Deanna mailed me earlier, but I only saw this 10 minutes ago, when I switched on this contrary computer again.
She asked me to tell Carole (Green) that she sent a pm today, but her computer also went "funny" , so she is not sure if you received a page of "nothing".

Hope you get the gist of what I am trying to say, it sounds a bit garbled to me, but that is my fault, not Deanna's.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, good weather and plenty of rest.

Sue Report 4 Jul 2008 22:19

Hello everyone.

I have stayed off this thread because I have been on a self destruct course for the past few weeks. Seem to be coming out of that now.

I have been trying to catch up on posts, taking me ages so please bear with me.

I gave into doctor's advice and am on Morphine even though it does not agree with me and I have to watch my blood pressure all the time. I also dislike the feeling of detachment it gives me. Hopefully when I have the scan next week they will determine what is causing this post op pain. If they can fix whatever it is I can stop the tablets.

Anyway love to everyone who is suffering mentally or physically. I'll post again when I have read through the posts.

Love

Sue xx
