Hi Joan. Like i told Jan, I moved to my home in the 70s. It has changed now. You would not recognise the lane now with there change of bussnesses.(Too many ssssess). I had to go to a school in Newcastle in the 70s at some point. But burton school nolonger stands. only the gym remains now. the rest is a community centre. Vanessa |

Well as promised I am back (after taking father in law home). Crikey!!!! I didn't realise that there were so many of us from Yorkshire, I'm impressed. I have read all your messages and know all the places you have mentioned. There's quite a few of you from York you will have to get together some time. I was born and brought up in Belle Isle, Now live in Birstall, wich is near Batley. I am sure a few of you will have heard of the famous 'Batley Variety Club' now called the'Frontier'. LL |

I was born in Kippax near Leeds, married a Garforth near Leeds lad. We married in 1968, and lived in Garforth till 1995 when we semi retired to Bridlington. We retired to Morecambe in 2001. But I am still a Yorkshire Lass, and proud of it. Pat |

Hi Pat, Isn't there a biggish Garden Centre at Garforth with a train that goes round it and a camping shop as well? If it's where I think it is I have been there a few times as well. LL |
