Hi guys..

Yes Liz the army cant throw me out...Although I have to pay full rent now...That will be covered by housing benefit....Still have lots to sort out, my head is spinning...Pat still has all his belongings here so im waiting for Army welfare captain to ring me to see if we can arrange for him to collect his things when i have gone as I dont have to hand the house over until 19th July at 10am..God knows how I will get here by then!!

I have made a start on cleaning the oven and cupboards as the house has to be spotless for the marchout!! I will have to come back before the 19th to give it a good clean....Didn't really want to come back once I have left but i don't have a choice....I don't want to get billed for anything..

Jules, as we have been in contact through messaging I have not recently added anything on this thread.

I am delighted that you now have your own home to move into, how exciting for you. Hard work to be sure, but what triumph you must be feeling. Just make sure that you do not become overtired.

Lots of good advice re recycling of unwanted items, even cookers etc.....

You wanted Independence and as you move on Independenc day there isn't really much more you could have.

Jules. My broadband is down, so I've popped into library to use theirs, and read your news.

So happy to know you've now got a moving in date.

I viewed the bungalow yesterday...The rooms are not very big, I will only be able to put in single bed in the second bedroom..The kitchen is a good size and I have a utility room...Its also quite dark as it doesnt get much sun....

The garden needs alot of work so I will be busy over the summer!! Theres no carpets so I will have to make do with bare floors for a while..I have got a rug for the lounge...I met the neighbour, he's called Eric..He lives on his own..he was really nice...

We also went into town which has a few shops but I would have to go Trowbridge if I wanted some clothes shopping etc..

It will be all systems go over the next few days as I have still got some packing to do.....Can't wait to move now..

Thanks for the update at this very busy time Jules.

I am sure that you will soon turn the bungaloo into a home.
One that you can make your own with no kowtowing to the army.

Well done for sticking at it girl!

Wow Jules you are moving forward. Once you have the door keys for your new home and begin to live your new life, you will be so busy planing what to do the time will fly by.

So there is only a single bed in the spare room.....at least there is a spare room.
In no time at all you will start to feel at home, and will soon meet local people and be part of the community.
You have demonstrated that you can manage difficult times and now the good times are starting.

Remember, three steps forward and one step back and you are moving forward.
Take car, rest when you need to. In six weeks time you will have moved forward from six weeks ago!
Thinking of you

Soon be there Jules and you will soon make it your home. Light paint on the walls will make it seem less dark, maybe a mirror opposite a window. Yellow will brighten things up too. Only a single bed, well a single blow up mattress and pump when you can afford it (T***o on line do them) will be useful for two people to stay, It is whatw e use for the grandchildren and theya re quite comfortable. And it will be all yours, not the Army's, yours, and away from your controlling bullying ex OH.

~~ Jules in Wiltshire~~ Report 1 Jul 2011 17:37

Thanks Guys...I never thought about a blow up mattress!! I gues I could always sleep in the single...My sister and I share when she comes without her hubby...

I have been looking at paint colours today..And I will ask the housing association if I can paint the dark wood doors in white gloss, that should brighten it up...i found some curtains for my lounge today...I already have some for my bedroom which I hope will fit...

We found some great bargains for our grandaughter when she was setting up home at B&Q.s looked at end of season furnishings etc, We got two pairs of curtains from Harveys that when sewn together were ideal for her lounge window.

You will soon make it your nest and dont forget smaller rooms mean less hoovering !!

I wont put unwanted things into the bags that come through the door .I will always give my things to the local charity shop where at least the charity can make a little money. Took a BIG bag of sweaters in last week, all good and clean but not worn anymore. Was surprised to see they were selling furniture too and someone had snapped up two lovely comfy recliners for £50 and there was some nice white bedroom chests and bedside cabinets that I would have bought if i needed em .

I am wary now of door collections when our local paper highlighted someone was doing them supposedly for charity but they were selling the donations I like to know who is benefiting from my donation as a good cause, not for some toe rag to make money
