Hmm, Hmm,

Putting on Louis Armstrong voice: "Well Hello, Dolly" etc.

Welcome to the thread, and to the boards.

Sorry to hear abot the pulled muscles, but hopefully everything is now returning to normal.

Beautiful rain here again today, but much more needed.

I'm using the UK site this evening due to problems with the Aussie site

Regards to all,

Allan

Morning Barbra and all,

Thank you Allan for the welcome song :-) it was lovely. My back has improved alot, still sore but not that horrid pain I had a few days back.
I hope everyone is feeling well today?

We too have had a small shower over night in Sussex, its now all dried up, sunny morning here but a nice breeze with it.
Hopefully we will get a good rainfall very soon as the gardens are so very dry.
My son has been looking on the long range forecast for the UK, he is a window cleaner, July is supposed to reach 95 and August over a 100 so we are going to be very dry!!
I am away in August for a long weekend with my hubby, its our 25th anniversary , as we didn't have a honeymoon due to circumstances at that time we are having our first time away on our own!! I hope the weather is going to be glorious for us :-)

Hello all,

Emma, having endured a very hot and prolonged summer here in WA, I'm just looking forward to some much cooler, and wetter, weather.

Water supplies here, just south of Perth are at critical levels. Hopefully we may have much more rain this winter.

Dolly, cogratulations on your 25th anniversary. Enjoy your break!

'Emma' Report 31 May 2011 13:41

Hi Allan, I hope you get loads of cooler and wetter weather
as it essential that you do by the sound of it.We don't have
that problem as you know here in Scotland, so the sun is very
welcome here. I must admit I enjoy all seasons and would hate
to have the sun all the time, probably because I'm accustomed
to having the seasons.

Dolly congrats from me also on your anniversary.

Hi Emma

it is very ironic that the South West of WA usually has wet winters but not recently, and yet over in the Eastern States they are having very severe weather conditions with very heavy rain and flooding.

Climate change, anyone??

Allan

'Emma' Report 31 May 2011 14:05

Allan, climate change indeed, there was word that the NE of
Scotland was going to get warmer, well not in my lifetime. As
you say there are a lot of weather changes all over the world,
a lot of disasters etc. its too confusing for me so take it as it
comes and be thankful that we don't have the disasters others
are sufferring.

Morning all.

Good luck with the interview Allan.
You sound as if you are going to be busy with your new potting shed Joan.
I've got a washing on as it looks like its going to be a nice day.
I might get in the garden this afternoon and get a bit tidying up done. The weeds just love 'popping up'.

Allan Report 2 Jun 2011 09:52

Hello all,

I had the interview and remarked that the ABS (Australian Bureau of Statistics) seemed t be running late compared with dates given on its website.

Explanation: Yes. it had received far fewer appications for positions of Census Collector than were actually required, excepy in the Australind area where there was a glut!!. I will find out by mid June if I have been successful.

Last two days have been fine after heavy rain, but more rain on the way.

Joan, your potting shed doesn't come complete with a gardener called Mellors, does it? ;-)
