Needless to say we were on a trip round the local wineries with the Social Club at the time.

The cat's name is Tigger, his brother, a darker shade of ginger is Jaffa.

They are my daughter's cats which we seem to have adopted since her divorce

Morning everyone :-) Gorgeous sunny warm morning here in Sussex. birds are singing like mad.
I hope everyone is well?

I went to the doctors on monday about my weight, I have now been put on an NHS programme of weight loss, I won't be going to the gym like I was sent last time as that made my FM and arthritis much worse.
the NHS programme is called 'Why Weight' I am going to join weight watchers and see how things go, my gp said if I haven't lost weight in the next six months I have to go and see her again and go the next step up.
I cannot see that I won't lose weight, I just need an awful lot of support because I find it such a difficult thing to do.
I have at least 4 stone to get rid of to be the top end of weight for my height. I'd be so happy if I managed that :-)

Good luck Dolly . you have made the first step .thats brilliant . you are having the best of the weather.lucky you . enjoy it .we have a lot of birds in the garden .the blackbird is still sitting on her 5 eggs . hope it can hatch them & be away asap as the nest is only about 3ft of the ground . & visable . Weather here today is drizzle but still quite warm,no sunshine, but the garden could do with a good rain, its so dry now.
Tomorrow is supposed to be warm and dunny again so fingers crossed.

out but enjoyed the outing, gosh I'm sad =I Rory looking like a sheep
at the moment, needs a cut and a blow dry but not due for 2weeks i
think :D

Still pleasant here during the day, but now cool at nights. We just need the rain but the long term forecast is not good in that respect.

Good Evening all

My reference to the Can-Can came about as we had recently sorted out our very old videos (VHS) and fconnected our old recorder to the TV and were just going through the tapes prior to throwing them out.

One tape had a recording of Orpheus in the Underworld produced by the BBC in 1983 and probably recorded by us sometime in 1984 when it was shown in West Oz.

I was quite enamoured of the young lass who played Cupid (Make what you will of that!)

After seeing the show again the other day I decided to do a Google Search to see who the actress/singer was. I found out and was suprised to see that the lass in question had been born in the same year as myself. I had completely forgotten that nearly thirty years had passed for both of us!

I must stop watching old videos!!
