Hope everyone is back safely from their summer hols and looking forward to autumn too:( This is the start of my long decline When I get the 'start of the winter' blues
BUT I have a holiday soon myself Going to a lovely Irish shore That will lift my spirits Who could ask for anything more ?!
Will take along the vitamin 'D' and Evening Primrose oil And have stroll along the beach and touch base on Irish soil !

enjoy your Irish trip, Maggie, there will be lots to see, and if you meet my rellies, why, then say "hello" from me !
I`d tell you what they look like, and where they all live too, but as I don`t know either there`s not much I can do !
the one thing I CAN tell you, and all my friends on here, its about the expected Grt Gr Child whose birth is getting near !
This sibling for Grt Gr Daughter is due November twenty-eight,, and now we know that it`s a BOY !!! and just twelve weeks to wait !
So now I can start buying not pink this time, but blue, and all I want is him to be ok and be healthy through and through !!

Hi again to you all, I've read your rhymes with care And write to say I loved Northumberland And wished that you were there.
Tina, I am pleased The A level results were fine And to hear you're having a great grandson Celebrate with a glass of wine.
Maggie, I read all of your news And felt so very sorry That you suffer From winter blues!
It's something that I also Do suffer from. I've tried different remedies, But nothing can be done!
So we will just keep Rhyming on here A chat, a laugh, a trouble shared And a drop of Ron's free beer!!

Have I ever told you that I would like to move and have a cat. A tabby one with a bib that's white or one that's inky black like the night, or marmalade, or smokey grey. But I know I have to stay My home by a road where drivers do not heed Signs showing they should not speed. So I will daydream that one day I will have a cat.

So pleased you loved Northumberland It is a lovely place With golden sandy beaches and lots of open space
Now ,Chrispy, cats are versatile They fit in with where they live Remember they have nine lives With such a lot of love to give
So get yourself a tabby Or a lovely smokey grey Life is too short to worry Get a cat TODAY !!

Chrispy, have you got that cat ? I know the roads a worry, but lots of cats live close to roads with no problem with car or lorry.
I was shopping earlier, and although I didn`t mean, I just couldn`t resist some blue baby clothes, the lovliest you`ve ever seen !!
and so she would feel left out, a special t-shirt I also bought, grt grd dght will just love it (but I spent more than I ought !!!) Ho Hum !!

I did love Northumberland Heather purple, skies so blue Looking across Kielder water Enjoying the spectacular view. I loved the miles of moorland, No other cars to see, Villages bathing in sunlight, Days passing peacefully. I loved the rolling sand dunes, Horses galloping on the beach Castles, Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh, History within our reach. I loved the gardens at Cragside But much more I want to see, Can I plan to go again Is it meant to be?

Ah Chrispy ! no cat ? never mind, the thought was there I know, I don`t have one either you know, it`s dogs I like, with a stick to throw, a brisk walk out when the wind doth blow (!) and losing your chair to a dog I know, (although, alas, he`s here no more, in that chair he loved to snore!) and when out walking he didn`t want to go..... until you wanted to return, when, the cheeky so-and -so, decided that HE would decide where we would go ! (and would you argue with a Bulldog....NO !) Big sticks would litter the garden where he left them by the gate, and he would be there by the door, even if I were late, Oh, yes, we had our problems, but also ,what a lark ! being with that faithful dog...who HAD to have the last bark !! Hello girls ...and Ron ! What have you been up to since I have been gone ??
My feet are now on terra firma I did not enjoy the Irish sea But lots of people were feeling ill So glad it was not just me !
Waves so high and lashing rain Some ferries did not run But this one decided to have me as a dummy run..lol
Oh, but it was so worth it we had the best of the Irish sun Sitting out in tee shirts and shorts Having the 'craic' was so much fun
I still love my bonny Scotland But Ireland has stolen my heart So next year is a toss of a coin Oh dear..it will tear me apart....

Hello Ron, good to see you here and I am now back never fear !!
I have been absent from this thread of ours But I have been writing through sunshine and showers
Okay... a fun rhyme from all of our guests And I will judge which one is the best
And if this thread sinks into cyber space I think it's the end, and I will save face
So, a gentle last plea to our poets out there Give me something to judge, and I will be fair
Or this thread dies a death and I will delete It's been fun, oh it has, but we admit defeat !
Rally the troops ...lol

Ron ! Hello ! Glad you are well, our yearly contest sounds just swell. but if Maggie is to judge then she can`t take part that leaves me and Chrispy- just two for a start, not much of a contest I`m afraid... (and Chrispy is more likely to make the grade !) we only get on here rarely now but I`ll keep looking in anyhow ! Tina x

Sad... I popped in to see if anyone here ? but the place was empty and echoed. "HALLOOOO " I called to no-one at all. this thread was so big and now it feels small, where once there was Nolls ..and Dorothy too, now, Maggie and Chrispy, theres just me and you. a man pops in sometimes, and then is gone... ah yes, I remember.. that would be Ron ! Oh ! The things we`ve done & places we saw... "Sigh" sadly we now do these things no more. as I brushed the cob-webs from the lights, in my mind I remember all those nights spent tapping away on my keyboard at home.. someone always there... now I`m all alone. "HALLOOOO" I cried ...a final attempt... no-one answered and so...I went ! Tina x sob sob !
