Oh but I am a little jealous
Wish she could have taken me!

Oh it is a sorry state,what a to do

Thought I would bump this up
as on my hols in two days time
I will be gone for quite a while
But please save me some wine !

on your hols so far away
Maybe we will all speak again
on another summer day

Oh Ron, I'm here,
Glad you popped in.
I've been run off my feet.
Decorating our gloomy hall.
Trying to make it look so neat!

I've painted the walls
And the woodwork
In Jasmine and in white
I hope that after all my work
It will look light and bright!

well, I called in today
And found you were
All still away!

Are you all
enjoying the sun?
At the seaside,
Having fun?

Or like me,
Worn out
with the heat?
No energy to even
Leave this seat.

There's ironing to do.
Wallpaper to strip.
My poor house
Looks a tip.
Plants to water,
letters to write
But, I'll just stay here
And do it tonight!

Still no one else,
rhymers we lack.
But is it today
Tina comes back?
Full of stories
About her days at sea.
I hope she'll
write them poetically!!!

i just popped in to say
i have not been away
the heat is too much
i've done nothing as such
poetry has ruled
so dont be fooled
if you think i'm away
cos i'm here today...lol

Chrispy, I'm here!
Panting, out of breathe
washing and ironing
the length and breadth
of my kitchen !

Catching up on all my chores
You know just what it's like
When you have been on holiday
Feels like a fifty mile hike

A wonderful time was had by all
But now I am half a stone lighter
Through a silly tummy bug
But now got rid of the blighter

Then my camera decided to die
but luckily the week was almost done
So it's off to the shops tomorrow
to buy another one

Scotland is an amazing place
Full of tranquility and space
Majestic mountains and silver seas
But then we had to face....

The motorway networks coming home
So seems a million miles away
But not to worry, next year calls
Can't wait...think I'll book it today !!

HELLO ! HELLO ! HELLO my friends !
I`m back ( and was I pleased !)
the ship was great,the trip was nice,
all going well....until I sneezed !!

Russia is not the place, I fear,
to be feeling rough with a cold!
an hour and a half they made us wait
out in the rain so cold,
to get back on our ship we queued
no cover or no seats.
their Immigration , oh so slow,
I wanted to crawl between the sheets !

Chest infection & sinuses
followed pretty soon.
I`d seen the Ships Doctor
next day, well before noon.
One hundred & eighty three dollars he charged me
and I also missed out on two trips, you see,
but Finland & Sweden were warm & nice
so went ashore to see what I could see !

So ,yes, my holiday was good,
the weather could have been better,
the food on the ship was mmmmmmm all the way
(and the drinks made my throat wetter !)

But work again, I`ve just got back,
the weather here sooooo hot !
that all the girls I work with
have got the tans that I have NOT !! lol !

Oh Tina, I'm sorry you have been ill
And presented with an awful bill!
And had to queue for hours in the rain.
Will you go there again?

now theres a thought...would I return ?
I`d need to work so I could earn,
as it costs alot- but ship so nice,
usually I`d say "YES" in a trice !
but the weather that far north no fun,
(but we actually saw the `Midnight Sun!)
The buildings?, lovely, domes of gold,
churches ringing bells so bold,
old tiled rooves spires & towers,
I`ve cam-corder film that goes for hours !!
My answer then ,can you guess ?
I think that I would have to say YES !!!

I am absolutely fine now
My tummy bug cleared and gone
Now ask me about my camera
Well, that is another one

I ordered one from Comet
last Wednesday so thats okay
for delivery on Friday
Oh it's not here today

So off I trot to Argos
and this young man helped so much
And I am now a proud owner
of a camera,delicate to the touch

Cos I have to get used to
the buttons on this thing
Pity he didn't say
If you have problems,give me a ring !

well the romance is just a bit flat
nothing else i can say about that
the painting well that was much better
i liked it more he's no go getter

Well we did meet
Stella and me
and I showed my holiday pics
We had a good chat
about this and that
Over a coffee and bics

But excited to tell you
after a years research
I have united a cousin of mine
with her birth cousin in Ireland
It almost blew my mind !

The goal achieved
I should feel proud
But tears are stinging my eyes
When these two people meet
They’ll be swept off their feet
In a moment of sheer surprise

The road has been long
Despairing at times
But my heart now skips with glee
When these hearts join
After sixty five long years
I ‘m sure they’ll think about me !
