Hi all, I'm going to have to google Janet Munroe, Roy, and fancy that she liked a drink too. I don't drink much, easily get drunk! Don't smoke either ...bit boring really!! ha ha! |

Hey it's just come to me...Darby O'Gill and the little People, gosh that brings back memories as I remember being taken to see it when we lived in Glasgow (yes we got about!) by my older cousins. when the Banshee came on it frightened the sh*t out of me and I had to be taken out of the Cinema, my cousins never let me forget how i ruined it for them. Sean Connery was in it too as I recall. I can watch it now and don't get frightened!! |

I have mentioned this film before, it starred John Mills, Carol White and a young Stuart Wilson...."Dulcima", from the novel by H.E. Bates, it's very rarely shown on the telly. It's a lovely film with a very surprising ending! I have it on DVD and video and have to watch it every so often or i get withdrawel symptons...that and lots of other films too! It was made in 1971, and it's about a young country girl who keeps house for a tight fisted old farmer who lives alone (John Mills) and the country girl (Carol White) falls for the young game keeper (Stuart Wilson). If it's ever shown on telly do watch it, it's a good one! |
