Lets take it a stage at a time -waiting 15 mins between stages or even an hour to get you used to feeling the letters lol!

Stage 1. Take said pile of letters and untie ribbon (or whatever is around them).

Stage 2. Now tie them back up DONT READ

Stage 3. Take said pile of letters and untie ribbon(or whatever is around them) and now take one of the envelopes from off the pile) re-do the others.

Stage 4. Take said envelope and take out letter -but do NOT READ. Put it back in envelope.

Stage 5. Take said envelope and take out letter and leave out - walk away and DONT READ - make a coffee.

Stage 6. Come back with coffee put ones feet up, take a sip, breath in deeply and pick letter up -quickly glance over it (with one eye closed if necessary) and then put it down.

If you can stop yourself reading it properly now then you never will. pmsl

Just spotted this thread.I have a whole bundle of letters that my parents sent to eachother.Tied with a pink ribbon.I havent read them,but just had a peek at a couple.
I couldnt bring myself to read them,and had a chat with my sister to see what to do.We have said we may have a little bonfire and a glass of something and say goodbye.
Their love letters will remain private.
Hope you enjoy them if you decide to take the plunge.
