Derek, if you have the records for Little Over Derbyshire, could you look to see if you can find a Thomas Gladwin born in 1846 give or take a year or two please. Father is also Thomas.

1861/71 give his place of birth as Burton Upon Trent Staffs, but 1881 gives it as Little Over I just want to rule it out if the 1881 is wrong. thanks

Hello Derek

I have been chasing for the baptism of a Joseph Gilliver for ages. I believe he was born c 1797 Church Gresley/Castle Gresley- that's what the census has me be believe. I think/hope he may be the son of Joseph Gilliver & Hannah ? There is nothing in the IGI for him.
Would be very grateful if you could take a quick look at your data for me please.

Thanks

Simon

Derek:- Hi Simon.......unfortunately the transcripted Baptisms for Church Gresley begin 1841......
But i can confirm the marriage of Joseph Gilliver and Hannah Smith both "of this Parish" 25.09.1793

..adn.. in case it fits anywhere into your research.the marriage of Daniel Gilliver to Anne Boydell 07.04.1823

I'll have a look around for you.

Hi Derek

Thanks very much for your time. The reason I suspected that Joseph Gilliver c1797 may be the son of Joseph & Hannah is because of the fact that "Joe" Gilliver (1797) was living next door to Daniel Gilliver (c1793) in the 1841 census . Daniel was the son of Joseph & Hannah, so I thought Daniel and Joe may be brothers, but they may be cousins ?I don't know.

Thanks for the marriage info Derek.
