Find Ancestors

Hi Michelle

Please could you help me find a marriage certificate for John Wilson (1861) born Blyth, Northumberland and Robina Thorburn (1863) born Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland on her birth cert it says her father is Robert Thorburn. I have found them on the 1881 Census as married with a one year old daughter, living at 3 Beaumont St. but when I have looked the marriage up on Scotlands People it is coming up with no trace, I have tried looking it up on GR with no luck either.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Albert is listed as married still on the 1901.He has a housekeeper with him and cos Lilian is with Uncle it makes me wonder if Caroline was either in hospital or out of the country?

Hi Michelle,

Still wondering about the mystery of the marriage of Thomas Reid and Margaret and why Thomas is listed as married to Mary Ann Reid in 1881 and with no child. Is it possible that Mary Anne died and Thomas married Margaret and adopted John ? I am assuming that no divorces were involved as they were staunch Catholics. Have tried looking for death of Mary Ann but wondered if you would have a look for me?

If you don't mind waiting i will take a look again.I have to go into work tonight and won't be home till near 9pm.I have a few waiting to be done 1st and then will look at your again,may not get round to it till Thurs.I was confused by the 1881.Its poss that John was elsewhere or maybe he was born late 1881?He could have been Margaret's son?Lots of maybe!!!I can't promise you i can solve it but i will have a good look.

Thanks so much for that!! I will copy it all down and have a good route through, its sad that they all were living with different people!!! I have ordered Albert (the dads) death cert also Albert and Carolines marriage cert, i may see if i can track Lilian somehow!!! You've been a great help thanks so much, will let you know how the next piece of the puzzle goes!!! I still can't find that Lilian Lewis death c 1918/20 in Croydon will keep pursuing!!!!

There was a couple of marriage possibles for Lilian but i wasn't sure enough to give them.If you have Ancestry take a look or if not try free BMD to see them.

I need the children of this one, its a James Charlwood b . abt 1856 Brixton Surrey, wife is Mary A. b .abt 1859 Kensington Middlesex they should be living at 6 Somers road Lambeth James is 45? really need the chldren on this one lol, also occupation of James would be good, should be a coach driver, or something like that lol.......many thanks Lilly

Thats weird!!! Just been looking for a poss marriage but i didn't see any? Only one on ancestry was for a Lilian Louisa Hutchings in Hackney but this wasn't her middle name it was Henrietta. If you could remember them could you let me know!!! I'll keep looking!!!!
