Member Since: November 2006 Posts: 24 Send Message	Hi Michelle I have a big brick wall, Thomas Macklin born 1778 unknown married esther coburn 31st may 1819 aged 53 yrs newland forest of dean gloucestershire by banns, he died 23 july 1831 buried newland all saints. I have not been able to find thomas birth and their are very few macklins in gloucestershire, so I think he is from else where ?? any Ideas of how I could find him. many thanks cathy

	Chrissie Could you give me the age of Robert on the 1911?Reason i ask is this family i have been looking at i mentioned to you before have a son Arthur who i mentioned to you and i just looked his birth up and he was born Arthur Robert so i am wondering if he is your Robert on the 1911?Could you give me his birthyear and also birthplace. Did notice this poss the christening record states 1782 but its poss he was an earlier birth cos not all were christened straight away.The christening was in Hereford neighbouring county to Gloucestershire. 	Shemp Have you no death records for the couple?Do you know when they died?Also any idea where they were buried?These are often useful ways to find birthyears.Did you say they are on the 1841?If they are then they would been death records for them. I noticed the James on the IGI christened at the same church as he was married.Like you say 1776.Doesn't mean he was born 1776 he maybe older?I also noticed a few children born to James and Mary in this same parish. On the record of the christening of 1776 father listed as James and there are a few poss siblings for him also on the IGI. Michelle

Thomas Golden was married March 15th, 1905 in Liverpool West Derby to Catherine Walsh. Thomas was 38 putting his YOB at about 1867. Catherine was 24 putting her YOB at about 1881. Both were single and Thomas' Father's name was John Golden (deceased) and Catherine's Father's name was James Walsh (deceased). Catherine was born in Ireland. Thomas as far as I have been told was born in England. The witness' were Margaret Ryan and Margaret Walsh (I'm assuming a sister). Both Thomas and his father John are listed as Mariners. The residences at the time of the marriage were: Thomas - 41 Gillard in Kirkdale Catherine - 38 Elstow in Kirkdale Thomas and Catherine had at least one child (John Golden 1912) and possibly two others. They both lived in Walton West Derby in 1912 and Thomas is listed with an occupation of: Mariner Merchant Service. I have had no luck in finding any Mariners with these time frames. I have found a Thomas age 4 and John age 38 in the 1871 Census. Are you able to shed some light?
