Apparently it was 20 f/balls in a week,slap my wrists...lol

Woody is on the new ones already and sparrows etc on the new nut feeder. That means the squirrels can have the other n/f to them selves if they wish..lol

Hello Ann, Jane & Lesley:)
Thanks Jane, nice to be back too:)

Our squirrels are about most of the year. We have walnuts in the garden at bottom of ours, the tree has a preservation order on it:))
Wonder where your earless squirrel has gone?

We have rats that our neighbour takes pot shots at, not so many at the moment fortunately All the time we feed the birds though they will be back:(

Off to look at your email:)

Morning all
The birds are eating as many sunflower hearts as I can fill their feeders with. I think they must be trying to keep warm !!! LOL There seem to be a lot of fluttery wings around too. So I am guessing that they are feeding babies Fledgelings.
I have started buying seed with a friend by the sackful, 8kg for £11 as compared to £2:85 for a kilo from our local pet supplies. Quite a saving.

You are lucky Jude, Our have all backed their litle bags and gone on their hols. All we have is sparrows and starlings, lots of young noisy squabbly ones. Before we went to Plymouth a week ago their were blackbirds in a nest in the garden, we were sure theyw ere feeding young. Since we came back no sign of them at all, or any young birds. :-(
