Good to see you still with us. I have been thinking of you all a lot these last few days, and seeing Mary made me feel closer to you all! It's been a little stressful here meeting family that I never knew. But I feel so lucky to have met them all. Think we are going to Amish tomorrow xx

Hi Carole, enjoy your tour of the Amish area, be sure to try some of their bread and homemade preserves. Yummm. It seems like life has stood still at the Amish farms, scenery will be nice, also. Looking forward to photos on FB. Enjoy the rest of your trip. mary XXX

Hi Elaine, hope your hubby is fine, I am sure it takes a while for things to settle properly, will ask my cousin with a pacemaker when I phone her this week. Ben, I like that theory, people with ocd are highly intelligent lol Yes I can go along with that lol You keep plugging away at your tree and don't let others distract you or put you off. Carole and Mary, so wish I could have been a fly on the wall when you met up and hope you Carole have a lovely time for the rest of your trip. Mary, hope all is well with you and yours. Been so busy here - the scrounger son didn't turn up yesterday after all, he and his friends who were taking him to the airport in America to get his flight home, were in a car accident. No one was hurt but a Mexican apparently drove into them, it help them up and he missed his flight so now has to wait a week, had to borrow the money to get a new ticket so will be even more in debt when he arrives :<(( So not looking forward to him being around again, he has a wooden spoon on the end of his arm! Had to drive o.h. to b and q again, he didn't take his specs this time lol, went to get a heated towel radiator for the bathroom, he was so rude to the chap I was asking about them, just because the rules say the assistant has to tell you a certificated electrician has to fit it. O.h. is an electrical technician but not certificated cos only works in his company's factory on the machinery etc there. His son due home soon, is certificated but it doesn't really matter, o.h. can do the installations but if he sold his house, wouldn't have the necesary paperwork. However he is unlikely to leave here unless in a box so not a problem but he always acts as if rules and laws are for others not him, and I was embarrassed at the way he spoke to the assistant. Anyway got the rad as 15% off till Monday evening so a bargain.
Carol, my Sis, I have been thinking about you all week and wishing I could call you but with the dork around it just wasn't possible. Hope you felt my love coming through to you, you have coped so well, such dignity and courage so just keep trying, one step at a time, and glad your workplace have been so supportive to you. Hope the weather dries up for next weekend. lots of love to you.
Izzy, you have patience, the right job will come along and it will be worth the wait.
To all my friends who I haven't mentioned, love and hugs, Lizxxx

Morning everyone, I hope you're all doing ok? I'm sorry I can't manage to mention you all by name as my memory is rubbish, but I wish you all well :o))
I have a dental appointment this morning, I have to catch a bus in 50 minutes to get to my appoinrtment at 11.00! we only get a bus hourly but only 2 hourly at this time of day, totally useless!
I've had some good news over the weekend, all my family will be here for Christmas dinner, my daughter with my 2 grandchildren, my youngest son who left home a few weeks back and my elder son who still lives at home, plus the poorly in laws. FIL is due to see his cardiologist tomorrow, so hopefully we will get to know what action they will take re:his heart problems. MIL is but doing ok, she is checked weekly to adjust her warfarin which she will take forever.
So after me saying I can't be bothered with putting up decs for Christmas, I now have 9 for Christmas dinner, hubby says we will manage, either me or Emma can help you do dinner which I love to cook I must admit, yes I know, 2 women in the kitchen, but me and my daughter Emma get on absolutely fine she is my dearest best friend. If Emma helps me hubby can play with the grandchildren :o) he will love that.
Thanks for reading my waffle,
Love to all and hugs too :o))

Evening all my lovely friends.
Gillie I also will be having 9 for Christmas lunch, well thats the number so far. That is only OH's family, mine as usual have not decided.
Have not been on as much as have run out of my anti D's and cannot get into GP for appointment, they do not answer their phone. So I am feeling the black pit just a little bit.
We did have a beautiful day here today, and I am trying to keep busy until I get to see the doc.
Take care

Hi Gail, I hope you can get to the docs soon, all go for Christmas in your house too. I can't wait but I know it will knacker me out. I have been to the dentist this morning, ghot to go back as the new crown he had made was made too short! dentist was none too pleased, nor was I, so I have to go back in a couple of weeks for another new one to be fitted.

Hi
Thanks. You and I all know that my theory is 100% correct.
Thos Roberts is a biological ancestor of mine and I dont need any DNA or further proof as all the evidence is there because the illegitimacy was because his wife had died just weeks before the birth after a painful illness.
Some people are jealous because I found the father of an illegitimate child, and they probably have illegitimates and havent so to make themselves feel better they have to spite and niggle at other peoples successes which is pathetic.

Afternoon all.
Ben, stick to your guns. I have not been as lucky as you with illegitimate births, was lucky with one as on the birth cert and then they married, as a latter year (1900's) made it easier as well. But not quite the journey you have had. I have a couple that led nowhere.
Finally managed to contact GP, no longer does morning surgery, only afternoons. I do not have a car afternoons. So they agreed just to do my scripts this time only so will me medicated again tomorrow.
Caz sent me a vid of a plane loosing a wing, and landing and nobody hurt. I had to watch it several times. I though it was one of those toy planes at first, but was not, but amazing. OH had to watch it several times as well. Could not believe it.
Looks like Carole is having a great time, still think you could have fitted a few of us in her suitcases.
Hi to Christine, can see you up there. :0
Gillie, I am sort of looking forward to it, but also know how hard it was last time. This year I have put my foot down, everyone is welcome for lunch, but someone else can do dinner/tea. The last time was 2 years ago and some came for lunch and some dinner, it was not at all fun and I ended up in bed for 2 days cause of pain.
Now I have to convince OH to put up the Christmas lights. He does not want to as grandson will not be here this year. We have not had them up since his dad died a few years ago. I think it is time and not many do it here so think it would be nice.
Love and hugs to all
Gail

Hi Gail, hope your o.h. will change his mind and put up some lights. Make sure you don't get pushed into doing everything over Christmas, no fun if you are cream crackered for days after, I know the feeling. Haven't dared ask yet what is happening over Christmas, I hate it, so much hassle. Last year I went to my son's while o.h. had his son here, but I think this year it will be more complicated as the other son of o.h. is back from America next week and will probably want to be here, and he and I don't get on. Whether I will go to my son's again I don't know, depends if he has a new girlfriend by then but don't think so somehow, he seems to prefer to be young free and single at the mo lol
Roll on New Year and get it all over with, lots of unhappy memories at Christmas for me which is why I don't enjoy it now.
I only have one illegitimate birth I know of Ben, and can't find her or her mother, my Gt Aunt, she was shunned by the family so no one knows where she ended up or what surnames she used in the end, or if she married later on even.
Hope our Betty's weekend and today went well, and she will get back on line soon so she can tell us all what happened.
love to all, I am off to bed now. Lizx

Morning all, I'm not looking forward to Christmas at all, wish it was over and done with. Gail I was in two minds whether to send it on but they wouldn't have kept the vid if it turned out bad. It nearly gave me a heart attack watching it and like you we thought it was a trick but it is the man running towards it with his hands on his head, shows he didn't believe what just happened. Got an appointment with doctor this afternoon, I think I have some reaction to new tablets again, I just wish I could be normal and have no side affects to anything. It's good to hear from Carole while on her hols, bless her, even now she is thinking of us. Eileen was the Carole you thanked for your card me? I sent you one but thought I had put Caz, and just because I am ill doesn't mean I can't think of others you know.
I have been rather rude and not mentioned our newcomers, welcome to all of you and I hope you stay with us and become one of our cyber family.
I have been thinking of Deanna a lot and hope the silence means Tony and Allen are busy settling her in back home.
Got a busy day today, well for me anyway, going out to buy my Christmas cards and have a look round at Christmas decorations, might not get out again.
Love and hugs to all
Caz xx

Afternoon all,
Miserable and very windy over here.Sounds like myself!
Caz, yes I meant you.It IS kind of you to think of me when you are in so much pain.
It was a nice weekend. The highlight for me was grandson Zachaar staggering upstairs, holding a tray with large (full) teapot, sugar, milk jug-also filled to the brim-and a delicate cup and saucer, all the while singing at the top of his voice the Dutch version of happy birthday.Bless him.He didn't spill a drop. The 'concert' turned out to be all the children that attend the Russian school either reciting poetry, or little sort of plays, all in Russian! I tried my best to understand, but could only pick up a word here and there. Not one song or piece of music was to be heard.
As you say Carole, we can only hope that not hearing from Tony is a good sign.Worrying though.
Liz, know what you mean about Christmas. It does not hold happy memories for me either.
CarolB, you are in my thoughts a lot lately.Hope you will get good help from your doctor.
On sunday, my daughter told me that my ex's youngest brother had had a brain infarct. Not sure what this is called in English. We have always been very close, same with one sil.He is a bit of a recluse, doesn't want any visitors etc. so we have to respect his wishes.
To all those I haven't mentioned, have a good day.

Hi
Yes, as I said many times before, I have proof of the father of an illegitimate birth of my 2xgreat gran in 1863. It all fits 100%.
I can now lay that matter to rest and get pleasure in the fact that he is a genetic ancestor.

Well i'm still here and have managed to get a couple of nights sleep now. Have been to see my son taking part in a special rememberance service today, it was lovely, felt very proud of him. Am trying to keep a positive outlook on life right now, not too sure what we will be doing for christmas, just hoping eldest son will be able to join us for some time as next year he will most probably be in Afgan. Hugs to everyone Izzyxx
