GranOfOzRubySlippers Report 2 Nov 2008 09:44

Evening to everyone, off to watch a movie the night night.

Gillie, my children kept moving back home for years, so never really get the empty nest feeling. Trouble is they do not stay away long enough to miss.:>))) Sorry very tongue in cheek there, yes I so miss them.

Ache are probably your winter approaching, I am always worse in cold weather. Love the warm and hot weather as can get around more.

Catch up tomorrow.

Luv and hugs

Gail

PS to Fran, I have also found a few of mine the married and the other half had not passed away or divorced.

I think it was a lot easier to get away with then.

Morning everyone,

The sun is shining, quite warm outside.I agree with Gail, the pains and aches are less when the weather is so mild & dry.

Gillie, it is very hard to let go, have been there so understand. It was more difficult when my youngest left to go to uni, just before her 18th birthday. She was soooo lost for the first 6 months or so.My son was also studying at the same uni, so it reassured me to know he was there to help her out.
Ann, your news was very, very sad. That poor young mother, she will always feel guilty, although she was in no way to blame, God bless her.How many of us have taken our babies into our beds? The last time was when my yougest stayed here with her two little ones.Anna, the baby born on Easter sunday, cried a lot, so I had her in my bed half way the night, every night, to give her mum some rest.Mind you, I hardly dared to sleep, was too scared she would suffocate under the duvet.
Will make some cakes later today.
Hope you all have a peaceful day.

BOOO!!!
It's me here in Ohio. God I was so tired last night after getting up at five in the morning and arriving at our hotel at two in the following morning.

I tried to text Mary to let you all know my computer is bust at home, don't think Mary got the text by looking quickly through the thread.

Welcome to our new friends. A sad good bye to an old one. And of course lots of love to you all xxx

Meet by my cousin at Detriot airport it was so good to see her again, and meet her lovely husband. Meeting more of my American family today. Going to a barbie later.

And I can see your bums!!! (Making me stand here in the lobby with a stupid grin on my face xxx)

Carole

Have a lovely holiday .I thought I had missed you .

Liz get off your bum and give that poor nice chap a hand in the garden !!! :-)

My halo is shinning today as I made it to church. It was bl****y freezing there as god clearly didn't provide the central heating .Might have been some thing to do with the fact that the place was almost empty .Sad that

Had a very busy day friday at the history society .There are 3 of us there to help but one had a doctors appt and the other had to go off visit her husband in hospital which left me on my own !!! As expected I was out the door with people and not one of them straight forward .Why was everyone looking for the father's of illigitimate children ???? Please father xmas can I have a crystal ball in my stocking this year .

Got home cream crackered then idiots at the back decided to have a rowdy party till all hours .Wouldn't care but we have a police station at the bottom of the street who must be deaf dumb and blind as they never seem to hear anything. Add to that the fireworks and 2 yes 2 frightened cats ( neighbours on other side have left their cat home alone again !! ) so I didn't get to bed till late .

I wouldn't like to say what I would like to do with fire works !!!! Maybe Liz might find a use for them ??????? xxxx

love

As mentioned before I found the father of my 2xgreat grandmother as he couldnt yet marry them mum at the time of birth due to his wife having just died.
But there are some illegitimate ancestors that never have a father accountered for. It must be a shame.

Did you read about in in previous posts? Yes if his wife was dying of TB he knew that so obviously sought comfort and got her pregnant.

Hi everyone just thought I would look in and say hi I am suffering very badly with depression and I am finding hard to even get out of bed in the mornings! I thought I had made lots of "friends" on GR but oh how wrong one can be I think its sad that people profess to care and understand but I really don't think they can or do. I do hope everyone that is suffering the same as I am are soon feeling brighter
Love and hugs

Rach, I am sure that you do have many friends on GR, a lot of people were sad when you said you wouldn't be posting any more, including me.

I am sorry you are feeling so depressed, have you been back to your doctor and have you got medication?

Please at least come on this thread and continue to talk to us, we will always listen as you know.

Thanks all for directing me to this thread.
As I said before. Had a stroke in 2004. left my right side affected and left me with a very bad temper at times. Ask my Wife, she gets feed up to the teeth with me, as I never know what will set if off. I have just started going to councelling 3rd week this friday. Not sure yet if it is helping. Any advise out there for me????
