Fran hi,

Am another loonie on this thread (but a nice one, I think so anyway) lol..welcome into our midst xx.

We are a varied bunch of gentle folk who look out for each other and offer help, advice and a listening ear always..

I have lapsed in my postings of late but that is purely a healing process. I do read of the going's on which can be heartbreaking, humorous and downright hilarious at times, enjoy your stay with us..

By the way, as my dear friend Y Caz pointed out, I have nearly finished writing my pantomime script and Toby the clown dog has been trained to assist in propelling a wheelchair, so Caz you have no excuse but to honour your contract and take part, okay my bonnie lass xxx

To all my other friends out there in cyber space I wish you all a peaceful and pain free evening, will post again soon.

Take care

Your problems are yours Christine. They are important to you to get help with. For your sake and your families. Don't undermind them. Your comments are helpful to us all. While we are listening to you we are thinking of you and that helps us take our minds off us. xx

Joyce hope that script is nearly finished. xx

Thanks so much Carole,Your so lovely you really are.My problem is once i had my breakdown it left theground (murky)for whenever i go to Drs with my pain. They look at the computer and i know what they are thinking..Then they say to me have you tried----or----and all antidepressents and yes i must have had them all.
I have had my bone pain i call it for many years before my breakdown even ,and its now so bad ,i have to lock my self in the bathroom so they cant see me crying..
Went to Drs 3 weeks ago first time in a few months as i feel im wasting there time, asked for pain killers as i cant sleep even with the pain,She gave me antidepessents and told me people like me tend to feel pain more so than others.
Went again on Thursday i was crawling the walls..differnt Dr again.I asked him for gas and air ha ha..He said dont the tramadol work..I have been on them for a year..he eventually gave me co dydamol which i have taken before ...doesent touch it.He then offered me a blood test which i had done on friday and so i am waiting for results....had so many blood tests the last couple of years so wont hold my breath
Love Christine
sorry just feel sorry for myself

Oh Christine, I know they look at their screen and see depression. But it's up to you to keep telling them it's something else. My friend kept going until the dr said to her "what do you want me to do"? She was months later diagnosed with FM. Dr proved to there was something else! Ask if thats what you could have. Where is the pain? Does it move?
How long have you had it? x

Back in a bit, son wants to get on here

Gill I see has cancelled her membership. If anyone has her email address I think she could need a message of support xx

Carole Tinkerbell. I was off for a few weeks coz my pc packed up. Got a friggin laptop I can't use right.

Anyway, hello Christine. Like JP I another loonie.
Well we belong to a great club lol

Just dadding along with the pain, and sciatica, though they're driving me crackers.

Feeling a bit low as the grandkids have gone home, and I really miss them so much, as they motivate me, and help me try to forget my pain. My left leg is the worse, and me knee keeps locking, and it makes me nauseous.

Good luck with the Tramadol.

Well, I've had my weepy time for tonight, so Christine, a problem shared and all that.

Take Care and Enjoy Life everyone

xx

Carole Report 25 Oct 2008 22:48

Christine how can you say your problems make you
feel small on here. It sounds awfull. You must keep going back to your dr. They get paid enough fgs. Don't even think you are being a pest. This needs sorting out. Sciatica like Vods is bad enough (I've had it) but all your other pains on top, it's just too much to expect you to put up with! Monday morning
make a phone call, do you hear!!

Christine

Christine Report 25 Oct 2008 23:06

Oh Carole thankyou..I wish you were my Doctor,I think even my family have given up with me..How long can you say that you dont feel too good or your in pain...
But honestly i have given up with my Doctors,I have asked for a scan but refused, what else can i do nothing...
Thankyou for being so caring.
I hope you are ok Carole, and that things are a little better for you,I do think about you.

Grabagran Report 25 Oct 2008 23:32

Oh Christine I feel so sorry for the way you have been treated by your gp. You need to get the name of your practice manager and write to her with all your grievances. I did this and was given a double appt with the head gp. A certain gp, whom I dislike, and is not very popular, was doing the emergency surgery when I went down. I was having so much pain, and the painkillers were doing nothing, so went to tell her.
I walked into her surgery, and she asked who I was.
I told her myh name, then she asked what was wong, and I told her I was suffering bad pain, and I waiting fo have my delayed reconstruction op, and was worried about another I had felt. She never once took he eyes of her monitor, and said she would give me a script for amytriptiline, which if she had looked on my file properly upsets me.

I stood up and told her if she couldn't be bothered to lift her head to look at me she could stick her script where the monkey stuck its nut, and stormed out.
I put an official letter of complaint in, and got a call from the head doctor asking me to make a double appt to see him. I did and he said she had denied my accusations. Well, I was so ladylike, which ain't easy for me when I'm riled.
I said that her bedside manner left much to be desired, to which he replied 'some of us have it, and other don't.

I needed a doctor urgently in May this year and nhs 24 needed to call me back. The next thing this gp walked into my house, having left her surgery full, and rang an ambulance 3 times for me.

Worse thing was I was kept in over the weekend, and they overdosed me, so I don't know who's worse, but just keep going til you get the right gp.

Do youhave another practice near you that you can change to.

Keep the chin up Christine, and never forget, you are not alone on this thread. I've had depression and anxiety attacks since 1971, and just take each day as it comes, the good with the bad.

Stick in their darling

Hi all, oh am looking forward to that extra hour cos have to drive o.h. somewhere later today.

Can't do individual messages as I am tired and wooly headed, but want to say chin up to all of you and keep fighting back, don't let the beggars get you down. I keep pushing my doc to get me help for my ocd and it's a long time happening, have another apptmt with someone at the Mental Health place, yes folks you heard it here first, I am a mental case lol This particular psychologist or whatever her title is, is known by some of the others on a support group I was with as not much cop, but last time I saw her she didn't look me in the eye once, it was really uncomfortable and I intend to say something to her about it this time. Probably end up getting chucked out lol but will remember you Vicky and try to be ladylike lol

Keep up the rehearsals, Caz, I will help out and sell the candyfloss if you like, Joyce.

love to all

Welcome Fran, This thread is great to let of steam or just to be able to put your thoughts down.

Christine, so glad you are back, we all missed you.

Doctors and their little screens.

Before I had my accident, if I had a health problem I would be told, 'It is part of the aging process'. Now it is, 'It is the depression, or from the car accident'. Sorry but stomach bugs and such are not from any of these.

It is difficult to get them to listen, you are put in a round hole for a square peg. I now do not go to doctors alone, take my OH and he really sets them straight. I hate it though that I need back up, it should not be this way.

Liz, candyfloss for me to please.

I also love gherkins.

Take care, got to go as have chickens hatching out of the eggs as we speak, 4 hatched and 3 eggs left to come out and I can hear chickens squeaking in the eggs.

Gail

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 26 Oct 2008 03:11

Hi Gail, are you keeping all your eggs in one basket lol?

Hope all your chicks come out healthy and they thrive. I remember my Dad buying day old chicks at the market and we had them in the living room (talking 55 years ago) newspaper on the floor and a wooden pen with a stone hot water bottle in one corner with an old jumper round it and the chicks would snuggle into the jumper, constant squeaking - didn't have tv to be disturbed lol - and Mum would boil up eggs and chop for them till they grew big enough for proper food and then out in the garden in the chicken run. Can hear them peeping now almost!

Take care, candyfloss coming up hon.
