That has to be the biggest under-statement ever !!!!
O.h. and I regularly watch a fly-on-the-wall programme about the police.
I have to say they have all my sympathy. They spend time and energy catching criminals, writting reports just to have these law-breakers get a petty fine and a slap on the wrist.
The judgements handed down all seem pathetic and in my opinoin in a lot of cases no way reflect how serious some of the crimes are.

What gets me is they were saying a couple of months ago they are thinking of lighter sentences for thiefs, and violence because the prisons are too full.....yet they are now calling for longer sentences for drunks......??

Clueless

Can only comment on what I see when I'm in the uk .
But yes I think they are too soft on real criminals.
The sentences aren't realistic and bear no relation to the crime
