I think they should teach kids more about gardening!....a day spent digging ,laying paving stones etc would tire them out nicely! when I was at school only the boys did that...girls had to do needlework!
Hell!...I wanted to garden! I would probably have gone into that if I had the chance then....

Its not the law thats soft...its the implimentation of the law by the fools who run the justice system....that why I left the police service after 2 years...its like banging your head up a brick wall!

old apprentice style training would do fine if it was compulsory like National Service - I mean any kind of compulsory training, by whatever name, but get them off the streets and doing something positive that will not only benefit them but society as well

The law is too soft in all matters, not just on thugs, thieves and murderers.
On Midland local TV yesterday a guy on his NINTH conviction for stealing peregrine falcon eggs was give only 6 months, he will be out in 3.

NINE convictions, for pete's sake this is taking the p**s out of the law, he should have got 5 years at least after being given all those chances.

Of course they could always give him community service next time, then he really would be quaking in his boots !!!!!.

Magistrates, Judges, Barristers, Lawyers and everyone connected with the legal profession in this country are the pits.

I made a comment on this thread about how the do-gooders have taken over this country and stated that I believed that this country was now in irreversable decline. I also stated that I wanted my country back and recommended that people who are patriotic should vote for a certain political party.
Someone on this thread has complained to GR about me mentioning this party (I won't say its name because I want this comment to remain on the boards). GR have upheld the complaint and removed my comment.
As the political party is not illegal in this country I fail to see why a complaint was made or upheld. Surely if we believe in democracy we believe in free speech? It appears not: A young girl reads out the names of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan from the steps of the Cenotaph and five police vans turn up to arrest her. A man in his 80s at the Labour Party conference barracks the speaker and 4 bouncers manhandle him from the hall and he is charged under the terrorism act. Meanwhile religious fanatics can preach hatred in the media and on our streets, including demands to behead those who disagree with their religion and the law does nothing. Free speech? Don't make me laugh and now free speech is curtailed in the chatrooms of GR.

If free speech is no longer allowed then I want nothing more to do with GR chat rooms, I will not be appearing on these boards again.

To the many friends who I have swapped opinions with and joked with, I say farewell, enjoy your somewhat restricted debating chamber.

Goodbye, Bernie

I think judges and magistrates have a lot to answer to the police can only do so much.
