Well said Lin. Another observation is that most of the problems on here could be sorted out via pm, instead of dragging everything across the boards for every Tom, Dick & Harry to comment upon a situation they don't know the full facts of.

Jess, me too. However - if the pub you frequnst suddenly changes, and you don't like the new crowd then eventually you'll move to another pub ?

Hi Bev, how I agree with you on this one, I come on here to distract myself from agro of kids, feeling terribly lonely and the never ending fear and worry about the s##t hole OH is in. The friends I have on here have truly supported me { you know who you are} but I'm constantly afraid of saying the wrong thing or talking to the wrong person! Love Cazxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Bev, there is a lot of truth in this thread, Most people who have posted have a very mature outlook and have made some interesting points....But, haveing said that, you can see for yourself via Karens post, that these people will 'gatecrash' anybodys thread to cause upset and make back biting remarks..Whilst such people are on the boards there will always be He said/ She said and nasty remarks... Been following this thread and knew that before long it would turn into a snipe at someone. This is why I get fed up of the boards - please.......... If you have any issue with someone do it in private, Karen why you felt the need to make that remark for all to see I just don't know but kindly suggest you take it elsewhere and not on a thread that is trying to promote friensdships and adult like behaviour Joanne

I have an opinion, I stated my opinion. You can rip my reputation apart as much as you want, I don't normally post on here anyway so it's no skin off my nose. But in doing so you have shown the good members of GR exactly why these boards are going downhill! *Beware everyone if you stand up and dare to go against the members on here who think they run the boards.* And Joy, I would appreciate no more nasty pm's from you today, thankyou. I agree with what Jess & Paul say about likening this to a pub. I worked in & ran pubs for nearly thirty years & every now & then we would get a customer or group of customers whose main object in life was to stir up trouble. Having caused disagreements & an unpleasant atmosphere they would slip out the door, laughing to themselves & go elsewhere to start all over again. It sometimes took a while to identify these trouble makers but when we did they were barred from the pub. Unfortunately even though the GR team have been alerted to the perpetrators on here they are not looking after their regulars as we would have done ours. Vivienne xx

However as some people cannot see life is too short, myself I like the quiet life and can't see the point in causing trouble for the sake of it.

At the risk of stirring it - I AM NOT but Tara, I am really quite upset and hurt that you feel our well-meant comments on your thread on Tips (that IS what you are referring to, I take it?) are the same as the sheer and vicious nastiness that goes on on General. Nobody was nasty to you, nobody was patronising - you asked for advice and opinions on a very sensitive matter and we gave them. Have you been back to your thread today to see the useful and practical help that has been offered? OC
