Wouldn't it be better just to let people post and then answer the ones you are interested in and ignore the ones you don't like, without comment!! Hi Tara, welcoms, don't be put off - there are some normal people on here (only I am not one! - definitely dolally sometimes). I agree that there is definitely an us and them feel to these boards now and I am not sure what 'side' I would be placed on. I try to be friendly to everyone and just say what I think or don't bother to post, even tho I plough through most of the threads every evening if I can, I don't always see what is going on with the two camps, but it is very silly and childish. No wonder wars start if the leaders of the countries have this same mentality - if we could all unite there would be much more peace in the world, and the same goes for the boards. Liz

Liz i agree with you totally and Tara has just demonstrated how new members are being put off from posting on the boards. i think it is such a shame when i think back how the boards used to be if peeps have problems/issues with certain members, then fine do not interact with those members but please do not post threads or comments on the threads trying to persuade others to your opinion we are all adults here and can make up our own minds Bev

Bev, I agree 100% with what you have said. The boards now seem to have a nasty atmosphere of 'if you don't agree with us, then you must be one of them' As I said on another thread I WILL NOT be dictated to, over who I can or cannot talk to.

Hi Bev, In some ways I agree with you but I don't think I have said anything that is out of order. As I said on my Prime Directive thread real people with real feelings have been hurt and I care about that. I've never been one to 'walk by on the other side' if I see someone hurting and try to support people in distress. GR is to blame for creating a situation where people can create multiple IDs and change their names and personalities as the mood takes them. People on here have been dishonest, although I have never named names, and there are those whose only aim is to create disharmony. In some ways it would be easier to ignore that but I can't for reasons I outlined on a thread about the suicide of my friend earlier this year. I am an honest person and have always believed that most people are. My experience on GR has taught me different. Having said that, I wouldn't dream of telling people where they may post, but if people ask me questions by pm I will answer them honestly. I will not condone dishonesty, even for a peaceful life. G, no darling i'm not shouting at you. i'm an honest person too like yourself and i find these threads quite upsetting, isn't it time for these kind of boards to end. I just want to be able to come on here and enjoy the things people are saying, the fun seems to be dying isn't life too short, this is not a school playground, we are adults. I think it's great if we can help one another not kick each other in the backs, so please everyone just stop.

Hi Valerie, Thanks. I would like it to end, I really would but I think it has gone way too far. A few apologies much earlier on would have helped, I think, but some seem to think they have done nothing wrong. Linda (who seems to have deleted), I agree with a lot of what you have said. I have made real friends in the real world from here and have seen in person how upset people have been by what has been said and done. I also agree, totally, that some people have been too sensitive. But others have been on the receiving end of aggressive and hurtful behaviour. It isn't for me, or anyone else, to tell them how to respond. Gwynne

It will never stop. I have been a member for 3 years and there has always been arguments, some nasty, on the boards. While there are people who change identity at the drop of a hat and are hell bent on causing disruption then you will have disharmony. I avoid some peoples posts like the plague but it is getting harder to know who I am to 'talking' to. I agree with Gwynne it is about time GR stopped people having mutiple memberships. Jean x.
