Morning Brenda ,from sunny ,i hope Lyneham wher i was woken up by the grandson at 4 am this morning ,grrrrrrrr ,an sms to say he would be leaving Cyprus early ,and would be at Brize by 1 pm. Cor ,this is gonna cost him big time ,a Mcdonalds and a biiiiiig one at that, lol. Too late to roast the beef by the time we get back here so i will make the Shepherds pie mix that i have brought down with me ,but i won't tell him its Quorn and not meat until he has eaten it,but i very much doubt that he will be able to taste any difference to a one made with meat. You could really do with one of those packets in Brenda ,they are so handy if you get caught short for any reason, two oxo cubes in the mix and they are great, enough to feed four as well. Just as well though that i brought the tatties with me yesterday because the local shop had nothing in ,and we made jackets last night ,with some cheese grated over the top. We had a good journey down apart from a few truck drivers who were pulling over to overtake in front of us ,making us brake sharply ,i know these fellas have a job to do ,but these days they are bloody dangerous sometimes ,using the truck to intimidate other drivers. Lord help any one of them who causes me to have an accident through stupidity ,because with camera evidence ,i would sue the arse off him /her ,and make sure they paid dearly for their troubles, huh thirty years i drove trucks ,and i never saw truckers behaving like that in those days :-|. We did pass an accident on the north bound M6 mid morning ,with the north bound completely blocked ,sand all over the place ,two crushed care and a darned great hole through the hard shoulder barrier ,where ,i reckon ,a truck had gone off and down the embankment into trees.,and our daft government kis on about putting the speed limit up to 80 mph to make more money.i think the idiots responsible for this idea should be dragged to the scene of one of these smashes and made to view the carnage ,and then ,to make sure the lesson had been learned, stay there ,be given a brush and shovel and made to clear the mess up :-| :-(. Off now to find some brekkie, looks like toast this morning,he he ,i feel a bit like Mother Hubbard must have felt ,lol :-) Checking on the virgin site Brenda ,it looks like i can get the cold call barring set up ,coupled to the caller identity for £3-70 a month, + my outgoing call identity blocked so that no one can call me back, after i make an outgoing call, ,which is free ,so i will get this done as soon as i get home, and then give my number to those few that are going to get it:-D. Catch you when i get back, have a good day Dorothy ,Brenda ,and any one else who looks in :-D :-D

Morning Brenda ,and Dorothy, plus anyone else who looks in. We will be on our way home later this morning ,the job down here done, after a good couple of days ,sun wise .and me with no garden to look after ,grrrrrrr ,he he :-). Managed to get down to Westbury yesterday to say my good buys to Ray at last, but got a bit upset at the same time. I had heard that his wife was a real bitch to put it mildly and have to say ,it looks as though it is true,as upon finding the grave,it was totally bare ,no flowers ,no headstone ,not even a vase to put flowers in,i could have wept ,and very nearly did. Ruddy woman bled him dry from the minute they were married, and is too ruddy mean to even go no more than half a mile to lay a few flowers, but Ray never lost his sense of humour despite this ,and used to spend most of his time at the local church as part of the community. The man was too smart for her in the end days ,changing his will ,leaving all his money to his two children ,the bitch only got to keep the house and the half pension. Sean is coming back up home with us for two weeks ,giving him time to find his new car, before coming back to Lyneham in time to move house ,the air force finding him a new place at Brize after all, where he can use his bike to cycle to work every day. His new house is only five minutes amble to the main gate of the camp, but the bike he will need to go to his unit which is nearly two miles over the airfield,a bit far to walk. Once this is done ,he is off to Poland for two weeks to see the missus,a busy lad he is going to be ,lol. Going to push off now and start packing ,then off to see my puddy tat ,lol.Fred :-D.

Morning Brenda ,Dorothy ,and anyone else who comes to have a looksee. :-) Don't be blaming your diet lass ,your clothes shrunk in the wash ,lol, that's my excuse anyway ,and i'm sticking to it. :-|. Sorry for not coming on yesterday ,but we was a tad busy ,lol,i have done a bit of feeding/watering in the garden ,checked the greenhouse ,and noted that some of the tomato plants are through, took a couple of dandilions out of the border before they flowered ,and checked on my fruit trees which are doing well ,before i cut the back lawn. I then took the grandson over to Gateshead where i looked at ,passed to buy for him ,and ended up getting him a nice Toyota Celicia with 88,000 miles on the clock ,immaculate inside and out,so he is well sorted. He DOES have the new house in Brize ,as long as he get's his bum over to the library this morning and faxes the forms through to the mod in Walters Ash in High wycombe.so i may well leave for Blackpool two days early.and go via Brize to see the new pad . Sean leaves here Saturday ,goes back to get shifted ,and then flies out to see Marta ,for two weeks before taking up his new post . Once he has gone ,and his car is off the drive ,i can get the mower out ,and start the front garden ,starting with the lawn . Time to get the wife her cuppa ,be back later when i have had enough of greenhouse work ,lol.Fred :-D :-D

Evening Fred and anyone else looking in. Glad you are almost back to normal fred and hope your grandson got to the library ok and in time.!!! Went to the supermarket this morning and had to queue for petrol ,I did need it ,I did not wait long and there was n't any restrictions But on my way home the queue was longer !!! My sister has a petrol staation at the end of her street and usually calls on the day she gets paid,on the way home ,which was yesterday ,but could not get in the queue which was down the road.Soher husband kept looking out the front door to see how the queue was and went out late last nightwhen there was only a few cars , just before they closed to fill it up. The goverment made a big boob boo this time me thibks. I know what you mean about clothes shrinking in the wash,John says I wash things incorrectly especially his things!!!! which always shrink.!! Morning Brenda ,and anyone else who is looking in today ,coooo ,rather chilly here this a m,not a morning to be running around the patio ,or sitting in Jammies ,lol ,so i think i will wait awhile . Got my phone well sorted Brenda ,got in touch with Virgin ,and got a free addition to the phone bundle along with the caller identity package ,for £2.30 a month. The free addition is a cold calling bar preventing any company that is using the number withheld from phoning you,and it's working a treat. When i enquired o n the net i was told by my rep ,that nearly every company gives this service free ,but don't advertise the fact because it costs them revenue, sneaky bu**ers. Now i am sorted i will give both you and Dorothy the number, sometime today,i am well pleased with it anyway ,no one has phoned me at all for me to pick the phone up to hear ,nothing lol, utter bliss :-D. Today is the last full day of Sean being here ,he is going back to Lyneham tomorrow afternoon to get ready to move camp ,before going out to see his wife in Poland for two weeks. He has asked for fish for dinner today ,some fillets ,with the sauce on ,Birds eye ,i think i on the other hand will be having cod fillet on it's own ,no added sugar for me ,i am doing well now ,in bringing my sugar levels back down to normal :-) Think i might well take my Coffee onto the patio ,now that the sun has come out ,and it's warming up nicely,Fred. :-D ;-)

Early this morning Brenda, because Sean is needing to pack ready for his going back to Wiltshire this afternoon. What a sudden change in the weather ,i knew that bag the missus brought late last year would come in handy some day he he. It had two fleece bags in it ,with drawer strings round the bottoms ,and are now ,both over my Nectarine bush to keep the frost and snow away from the leaves and branches. Going to do laddo steak and kidney for dinner with dumplings and the usual trimmings ,which will keep him going for the day ,until he gets his freezer opened anyway ,we put enough grub in it to keep him going until moving day,and after that he is on his own for a while ,lol ;-). Your meat parcels sound good to me ,i may just have a dabble then i go to the market again, much cheaper in town than locally. I might get over in the top end of the front garden later today if it dosn't rain ,i forgot to remove a couple of small bits of that Rose hedging last autumn ,but ,wouldn't you know it ,she found it okay running her leg along it ,ouch ,well i said ,you asked me to put it in didn't you? ,no answer lol :-( . Not to worry ,there are a couple of other things need pulled too ,so i will hit them at the same time ,lol :-). Up to Cramlington some time this week ,so i wil see if i can find my Pear tree while i am there ,along with the shopping ,i have my last urn ready for the tree,so don't need another one of those. Be back later troops .Fred :-D

Morning Brenda, lol,we ARE hibernating here ,we went shopping very early today after having seen the forecast, and it's as well we did ,by the time we had done Cramlington ,come back to Morrisons and done the shopping the wind was getting up and it was getting a tad chilly around the knees :-(. We came out of the store and went to Frydays for our fish and chips ,looooverly ,as always ,but by the time we came out of there at 12-30 ,it was snowing, and we beat a hasty retreat home into the warm. Still snowing at 8 pm ,but luckily ,so far it isn't laying . We havn't had any luck with the pear tree ,every sort of tree on the go but ,crab apple ,ordinary apple ,,cherry ,every thing but a pear ,sniffle :-( ,oh well ,looks like i will have to go via an online market garden again :-0. Don't forget to give Virgin a bell Brenda ,that £2 odd a month was well spent, lol, once i put that number in that the lass gave me ,and pressed the hash key ,we have had no more of those silent calls, and all the others come through with the persons name showing ,so we can be very selective now, from family through to the dentist and doctor. Going to have a look round the boards now before going back to bed for another try at gettin' me head down ,lol,Fred.

Afternoon Brenda ,looks like i found the bug in my puter ,and i seem to be back on line with full access again. Havn.t been able to do much owing to a nasty head and tummy cold ,which makes any work outside the house out of the question . I have however ,now found a nice patio pear tree from a reputable supplier ,for £13 with free postage ,now ordered ,and an empty urn standing by for it's arrival. We have heard from Sean re his move ,all is in order ,the lady from the forces removal team coming out this afternoon to see what furniture and kitchen gear needs to be packed and moved to Brize . Very efficient these people ,moved out at 8 am on the morning ,and set up at the other house [working] by 1700pm,he has to stay out of the way ,can't be bad . Got your P M Brenda ,i will reply to that this evening when i am more relaxed and feeling a bit better . Catch you later ,Fred :-)

Morning peoples ,bit windy here this am ,but the sun is peeping out from behind the clouds [peep peep] and it looks a little rosier than it did yesterday. The greenhouse is showing promise at last too ,one of my tomatos is showing it's pretty Italian head ,but the others ,hmmmmmm ,i may have to plant some more in cups just to be sure. All the brassica i planted week ago are showing already ,might be a good year for those at least, and i will wait just three more days before i start putting all my various bean seeds into the buckets. Time to put your foot down Brenda ,time for David to play the white man and leave you time on your own puter ,or get one of his own ,wait until he is out next ,and put an administrator password on so HE Has to ask YOU if he want's to go on,Womans right's and all that ,and if that dosn't do it ,use the boss method ,no puter for you ,no washing done for him ,he he. Had a lovely phone call from Dorothy yesterday ,re the family get together ,so that was nice and we had a good chat ,my turn next ,lol. Off to the youngest son's this P M to deliver these eggs ,and take a few pics of the downstairs for Mary ,so she can see what space her dad had to live in when he was a coal miner ,she is in for a bit of a shock ,she thinking the pic she found of the place they lived in was a house when in fact it was two flat's:-0. The four rooms she reckoned were so small ,have now become two :-0 :-0 :-0. The pics of the sons downstairs layout will give her an idea of the cramped conditions ,one living room cum kitchen with the wall range for cooking and hot water, and the bedroom.no indoor toilet ,all the washing of clothes and ironing done in a wash house cum coal house, and an outside privvy, what luxury we live in these days, bring our great grand parents back for a look ,and they would think us ultra rich and pampered :-). well ,i have to have a look and see what i can pull together for dinner today so ,by e for now Fred :-D.

Iwould suggest Brenda ,that two males in the household Buy you a retirement present as i did my missus ,brought her a new laptop so that she had her own ,while the grandson hogged her old one, either that or a gentle hint ,such as ,move your butt lad it's my turn ,lol. Nice to hear of a new family member Brenda ,and nice to hear that she has a nice ,sensible old name may the bairn prosper and do well all her life ,hopefully a long one. Done well out back today all my beans in ,the two new roses dug well in ,all the weed that was among the buckets dug up and binned so i think that despite the lousy weather i am up to date. :-D Time to get some tea now ,catch you all later ,Fred. :-D :-D
