Morning to all ,and thanks Brenda i have deleted the duplicate now ,the fault was me being distracted my one furry pest while i was waiting for the page to be added after hitting the submit button ,it seems to take forever these days ,a person being able to go for a walk around the garden waiting for genes to sort itself out :-|. Sorry to hear that you are still getting very bad nights with lack of sleep ,i have been like that since i was a boy and it seems to be a family trait ,but i now take my Kindle and clip on light to bed with me ,just in case, but i seem to have the problem more or less sorted by taking Camomile tea up to bed with me . I am trying to relax this weekend to get rested before the racket starts in earnest on Monday ,and have dropped a rather large clanger ,grrrrrr :-|. Whose the twerp who ordered the wife's new puter to be delivered next week ,me ,dozy git ,and who is now having to stay indoors until it arrives ,any day next week ,me ,again ,he he ,i could do with a medal for being stupid, lol :-(. The one upside thing being ,over here next week ,in the east [sorry Brenda ] the temperatures would seem to be going up to 17/18 c for a couple of days ,B B Q time for sure ,lol,it might be a tad noisy ,but at least it will be tasty ,he he :-D. The daft cat took me for a walk round the garden this morning and i was getting a good look around the borders ,plenty going on out there now ,bulbs coming through ,some in full flower ,the rose bushes showing bud,and the hedge starting to show signs of growth ,ooooooer ,he he ,time to get the gear out again very shortly ,and get these old bones moving and creaking . Off now to find something for the dinner ,so i will go ,aand let you get on with what you are doing ,catch you later ,Fred, :-D

OOOHHH Fred, thought I was on my own doing things like that!!, All I have done this week is invite my neice ,husband and baby to sunday dinner and we do not have enougth chairs !!! We used to use an old kitchen chair and one of the garden chairs ,as extras ,but the garden chair had a leg broken and the kitchen chair was so rickety (John sais it was beyond repair) that we took them both to the tip ,the day before I asked them to dinner!!!! So now I either have to go up to my sisters to borrow two of hers or we eat in relays!!! Slept a little better last night but took hours to get off.Was thinking of getting the light to go with my kindle, and have horlicks,to drink ,might try camille ,but need it to be decaff, Better get back tio the tea.BBQ sticky ribs and wedges,!! Take care Brenda

Try the Camomile Brenda ,no caffiene at all ,and it has mild relaxing qualities that will send you off to sleep in no time ,no sugar in it to hype you up either ,it works for me ,anyway :-) . Sounds like you could do with a little trip to B & M for a couple of kitchen chairs ,either that or Matalan ,where you can pick up a couple of chairs for a few £. We are having a very laid back dinner today seeing as we have Chris again ,shepherds pie ,roast tatties and a few other trimmings ,with a nice crumble for afters, with a few tiitbits for tea ,after a sarnie of some sort or another , >off to have a few games on the puter before dinner ,catch you later all ,Fred. :-D .

Now you have said about the camamille not having caffine,it rings a bell,so will give it a go Fred. The old desk top is on its last legs ,so will have to see about a new one ,but it will have to wait a few months as we have a lot on in the next two monthsMy nephew will see if he can spot any bargains for me as he is always looking at that sort of stuff ,mainly due to his work. Had some roast lamb for dinner and have some left for a sandwich later, had some stewed plums and custard as well.!! very nice. Hope you do not have too much bother with the demolishion Fred and your delivery comes early so you can get out if needed. Take care Brenda

Morning Brenda ,and anyone else looking in before work calls or bed depending on where you are . i had a weird day yesterday ,for some reason depressed without knowing why ,i wonder if i am getting stir crazy waiting for the spring to arrive ,he he . The drill is on charge at the minute ,with some large urns and boxes awaiting the holes being drilled in the bottom of them. The tattie barrel will be turned out today ,and as the compost has never been changed in four years ,just recharged with chicken poo,and organic fertalizer i am going to put it in the new onion boxes and flower urns ,and put new gear in the tattie barrels,as i get them ready for the new season :-). Tis going to be a busy week ,what with the new puter for the wife coming ,which will need setting up ,and i have a guy coming to fit a new front door porch on Friday ,none of this grp crap so many people have fitted but a hand made wood ,pvc ,and tile one ,assembled and fitted on site, which will be a lot smarter than the old one which leaks worse than our veggie collander ,and is well rotten. I will let you know what this new tower performs like Brenda which may be a way forward for you ,£90 isn't bad for a new puter ,and all the innards are brand new, cheap enough to not bother with a warranty ,cheap enough to replace after a couple of years if needs be. The lamb sounds nice but i have to have mutton because the lamb is too fatty for my ticker ,mutton ,i find cooked properly is far more tasty and tender as well, although it is hard to get hold of these days ,most of it going into kebab meat and other fast food outlets :-| . Tell John to enjoy his golf ,lol, the better weather is just around the corner now,and it will be a case of coming home lathered in sweat ,instead of mud ,he he :-). Three and a bit weeks until our first holiday ,when we go down and open up the Grandsons home for him ,ready for his return ,and then a few more weeks ,and we woill be in Fleetwood again . Have to go now ,the drill is ready to go ,and then ,so will i off in to the wild blue ,back garden :-D. Fred.

Afternoon all,its a bit miserable here to day,but it is dry ,we have had a few wet patches, but mostly dry. Hope the porch is going ok Fred sounds great. Our Matalan does not have furniture, but I have been looking in some local charity shops which do and they have some chairs but they are much smaller than what I want. I don't want them to match exactly as they are not going to be in the dining room all the time Sounds like you are going a bit stir crazy Fred not being able to get out in the garden, but it will soon be spring and you will be out all day.The tower sounds ok Fred ,my nephew is looking for a good deal for us. better get the tea on ,being lazy and doing a chicken curry from a jar!! Take care Bremda

Hello Brenda, Fred, Bill and anyone looking in - sorry not to have been more active as I promised to be. Unfortunately lfe has been a little fraught just lately and, not wanting to be a right misery, I thought it best to wait a while.
I do need a little bit of "uplifting" right now. Just as I thought I was going to be saying how great everything was - my daughter will be having surgery tomorrow as her cancer has returned. After 5 years in remission last February she was told she only needed to have yearly checks, so in January had a mammagram prior to seeing her Oncologist this month. Last time she had a Lumpectomy followed a couple of weeks later by removal of the Lymph Nodes - now it has affected the whole breast and spread to other Lymph Nodes, so tomorrow it is a Mastectomy. plus whatever else they need to remove. She is adamant that she will not have chemo again - however we hope that her Oncologist will be able to persuade her. Would love a "virtual" hug or two right now - and a prayer or two if you are so inclined. Sorry to be such a misery but - as I am sure you will understand - the rest of the family are not feeling any better than me.
Thank you for being there - and I promise to be more "up-beat" next time. Love to you all God bless Kathleen

Thank you Bill, Susan is in surgery now. My daughter in Law took her at 7 a.m. and she was first on the list. A friend of mine is a nurse on her ward and will be looking after her - though they do not stay in hospital for very long these days. She will probably be home tomorrow in the care of the District Nurse. Trying to keep myself busy but not really able to concentrate too much right now. Actually the surgery is the easy bit - it what follows that we have to cope with, or I should say that we have to watch her trying to cope with.
Won't hang around at the moment - got to try to keep busy. Don't understand why some people keep getting the raw deal. Life can be a b***h at times.
God bless Kathleen

I have just read your posts Katherine ,and don't know what to say to you ,but having lost My dad ,stepdad, mother ,and sister to cancer ,i have an inkling as to how you must be feeling right now. Life can be as you say ,very unfair . As Bill has already said to you ,feel free to p m me anytime ,so you have at least two old forces lags you can give vent to your feelings to ,knowing we are both there for you ,and your family .Don't despair though ,my mum fought two different cancers for many years ,before dying in her 75 year . Morning to all again folks or should i say after noon ,i am now finished on the wifes new puter ,and have handed it over to her ,which will keep her happy for an hour or two ,putting all her programmes and apps back in ,but even as i loaded the platform and basic parts in ,like the printer ,i noticed that is was way in advance of the old one ,much much quicker and more precise ,in fact ,faster ,and to my mind quicker than vista or windows 7, i don't wonder that so many punters stuck with xp pro. Hope everyone is having a quick sit down before the weekend hits us ,me ,i am jamming cotton wool in my ears ,the lads are here fitting the porch roof ,and the hammer drills are making one hell of a noise lol. Catch you later all ,stay safe everyone ,no matter where you may be ,Fred :- .D

Susan is home now, my g.daughter collected her from the hospital about 10.30 this morning. I haven't seen her today, her brothers have visited but she is very tired though feeling more relaxed now. Have spoken to her a couple of times but she is still a bit woozy from the anaesthetic and pain killerIf it's not ons. Just have to take it one day at a time now.
Thank you all for your messages, pleased to hear Dorothy can at least read our messages - miss reading hers. Hope you are keeping well Dorothy - have you still got snow?
I am feeling totally wacked now - and my BP check with my doctor today was not good but he says it is the stress. A month ago it was way down, that was at a hospital visit for a check up. Doctor reckons not to worry about it but will see me again in 4 weeks. Maybe a good nights sleep will help. Seem to have the laptop sorted out now - though it does feel a bit awkward at times - the cursor keeps running away from me!!!
Take care all Love & God bless Kathleen

Good morning all you weekend lovers ,lol, but wow ,what a change on the weather front after the last two weeks of mild weather, still we takes what comes ,like it or lump it . I am glad to hear that your daughter is home Katherine ,it is so much easier to recover from an op' of any sort ,in your own home ,and remember my old mum recovering pretty quickly from the same op' ,being sent home rather than staying in hospital ,the nurse coming in daily to change dressings ,and see to the pain relief. You need to take note of what your doc' says too ,having you ill with raised blood pressure will not help you ,or your daughter in any way ,take it easy time is important to you both. I managed to catch Dorothy on line yesterday ,and noted that she is still as busy as ever ,lol, another lady who needs more time to unwind ,just like Brenda :-| . The new puter is doing very well Brenda ,but i will know more when the grandson arrives later with the disc for his gaming ,we will then see just how much faster the graphics are as to the speed of his game ,then i will know for sure ,but so far ,for what i paid for it ,it looks to be well worth it's money, you could do a lot worse when the time comes ,and save yourself a lot of dosh . Well ,my tatties are out ,and all i have to say is ,i won't be buying any for at least 4 weeks. My new boxes are in place ,going right to the patio edge ,room for all my onions ,and leeks ,leaving the little garden space by the Asparagus free for the beetroot and a couple of good rows of spring onion ,and lettuce. My missus gave me a hand bless her ,for a few minutes while she had the energy to clear the greenhouse out ,and we are ready to start sorting out the benches ready for the seedlings ,ready for the off. We have also brought the new urns for out the front ,the old ones all need changing due to the last two years severe frost, but that won't happen again ,all the new ones being heavy duty plastic ,not clay . Time for me to do a little work now ,mainly meal preperation, mixed in with a tad of housework [oh joy] he he . Catch you all later ,Fred. :-D

Afternoon all ,wow ,we had one hell of a frost last night ,but by the time we had been dowwn town to the Bank [snap] and come back out onto John Dobson Street , it was sunny ,and nice and mild so ,with any luck the spring is about here. The flats are down now ,so an end to the noise of jack hammers ,lol ,we may even have a lay in bed comr tomorrow morning to soak up the deafening silence he he :-D. The porch is finished as well and all we await for now is the snagging team to arrive to finish off. Hope John's car gets a clean bill of health Brenda ,that will be a load off your minds for another 12 months. catch you all later Fred. :-D

Morning all.weather wet ,but a little warmer this morning! Should be out with friends today but have not heard anything yet so it might be of. Managed to get the the bank and put that cheque in !! also got a bit of shopping mainly half price things and BOGOFs don't normally go on Tuesday but might , if I can get bargains like that again Car failed its MOT,because the back seatbelt did not work!!!. seeing as its rare for anyone to be sat in the back we do not know how that happend, but it has and will cost about £200 to put right.plus retest!!!! We have been thinking of going down to one car this year so it needs to be done to get the MOT so we can sell both cars and get a newer one between us.!! John is not a happy bunny ,and to top it all his tendonitis has flared up again !!! Hope you got your lie in Fred ,and you do not get any wanted visitors on the site of the flats, Better get some ironing done incase i do get out later. Hope everyone else is ok Take care Brenda
