Right my train gets into York Station at 9.30am I can meet at the station and then catch the bus to the Fair with whoever wants to. Is it fair to say we can meet about 1 o'clock at the Fair, at Ron and Carol O'Neills Table (Genealogy Printers). Or maybe a bit earlier/later if anyone wants. Or put a shout out over the tannoy like Jenny (Mommylonglegs) did last year. (so funny!) I would like to know if anyone would like to go back into York for a drink/something to eat. There is a Wetherspoons near the Train Station (unsure of its proper name) where we can go. There is car park not too far away from here for anyone who is coming by car. Gem:) |

Hello Gem and everyone. Not had Laptop for the last three weeks, has anyone missed me? Just to confirm me and Chris are definates for the York meet up. Not sure if we are coming by train or car yet though. Will probably be in York for around 10.30am. Book into B&B and then make our way to the History Fair. Intend going to a Pub for lunch and of course a few drinks. Just keep me informed as to which pub, the one we went in last year or the Weatherspoons? Happy to fit in with everyone else. Must dash, have to get ready to go down to the beach and then a pub crawl in Whitley Bay with Kim from Sandhurst who is up here in Tynemouth for a flying visit. Weather is glorious here bye the way. See you all soon. Jenny xx |

Is it easy to get from the Station to the Family History Fair??? |

Little Lost | Report | 22 Jun 2007 22:53 |
I think so. You need to cross the road to get the purple people eater.....oops I mean the purple bendy bus. Make sure you have plenty of pound coins and 50p's. Think its £1.50 for a single and £3.50 for a day ticket. But you have to put your money in the machine on the bus with no conductor. by the way to avoid any confusions I am Gloryer from FTF |

Jenny The pub we went to last year is The Punch Bowl and it is a wetherspoons hope that helps Buses Regarding the FTR bus or as some call it Purple Monster or bendy bus LOL there are hosts on some of the buses now to help you. But it is better value to get a day ticket for £3.50 as you can use iton any of the buses even if you get another bus back into town. Still waiting to confirm the other bus you can get I think it is the No. 11 Jan xx |
