Sunshine and showers her in Yorkshire today. Washing out on the clothes line early and then a heavy shower wet them all through...... I was not a happy bunny.
Back out on the line again, a bit of a cool breeze, so fingers crossed clothes will dry.

Dizzi, hope your OH will soon get a date for his knee operation. It's the waiting that's irritating. You will have the bionic man to help when he gets himself well afterwards

Your blobby pictures look pretty. Will you find something else to stick them back.

Morning all :-)

Windy here but temperature up slightly. Parts of the island had bad weather yesterday, hail stones the size of walnuts and it has caused damage to ripening crops. The cherry crop has been hit, it's soon cherry time as strawberries finish next month. The grapes haven't faired much better. One farmer has said he'll have no grapes this year and the vines are so damaged he believes next years crop may also be in trouble. :-(

Didn't go out last night, OH's back playing up again. He's had a back problem for nearly 40 years and he still won't be careful. We have 1 of those decorating ladders that you can make into a platform to walk along so you don't have to stretch and twist yourself when decorating. Did he use them to rub down and stain the front of the car port or did he get out the small ladders and over stretch and twist to reach the top and corners. The answer is - he's male so what can you expect.

He knew I'd help him with the heavier ladders and all I was doing was washing up after breakfast when he went out there, 2 bowls, 2 large spoons 1 small spoon, 1 small plate, 1 small sharp knife and 2 mugs - 5 minutes that's all his wait would have been. :-(

He's still walking like a very slow 3CPO this morning so looks like another day in. Oh well back to the spring clean, and I'll make sure I have the correct size steps with me. :-D

Hello All

Cold wind and black clouds today. Not nice at all. Whatever happened to Spring?

We had some pretty late flowering tulips but all leaves blown off which is such a shame.

Sorry your OH has back pain Pat, that's not nice at all so I hope he will feel better soon and maybe listen to your good advice in future.

Hope Dizzi is getting better nights sleep and feeling a little bit brighter now.

Enjoy the rest of today whatever you all have got in mind.

Afternoon all. :-)

Out early this morning, run out of strawberries and bananas so went shopping as soon as I got up.

OH's back much easier thank you Kandj. Going to a Chinese buffet tonight but it will be in, eat and out so he can get back to his recliner. He can adjust his chair to help his back.

Murphy's law is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

Learnt a lot of laws with physics and chemistry but this is one I understand only too well :-D

Temperature registering 23 C but the wind is cold and blustery. Getting very fed up of the wind, it's still blowing from the wrong direction :-(

Trying to find some energy and enthusiasm to attack the garden weeds. It's a bright sunny day, so I have no excuse not to really. I will feel SOOOOO good afterwards lol.

It's 24 C so a bit warmer, cool breeze but it's not so strong today. Very nice in a sheltered area. Trouble is the sheltered areas are not where we can sit :-(

HI PAT AND ALL, MAISIE HAS GROWN SO MUCH SHE WALKS EVERYWHERE ,NO MORE CRAWLING FOR HER BUT LOTS OF BRUISES,AS FOR THE TWO CATS THEY HIDE UNDER THE TRAMPOLINE AND KEEP THEIR TAILS TUCKED IN WELL,THE STAIR GATE BETWEEN ROOMS IS SQUEAKY TO OPEN BY THE TIME ITS OPEN SHES CROSSED THE ROOM AND PUSHING YOU OUT OF THE WAY,VERY TIRING LITTLE MADAM.
MUST GET MOVING,NOT EVEN DRESSED YET STILL IN TATTY TSHIRT AND SHORTS,

Hardly seems any time at all since Maisie was born. She sounds a little handful but lovely with it. The cats have the right idea and get out of her way fast ha ha.

Sorry you haven't slept. I used to have a similar problem with sleeping so know how you feel. It's a horrible feeling, cat nap if you can. Hope for a better night tonight.

Temperature shot up yesterday, had a high of 29 C and started washing and putting away jumpers and cardigans. Today it's the fleeces. :-D

It's already 30 C cooling breeze still but it's changed direction so it'll soon be summer. :-)

Sat outside a lot yesterday. Sat out on the front patio which only has a little shade but I think from today it'll be out back as the patio out there is covered so is in total shade.

Friends who have an apartment in Limassol fly out mid week. Early June is the next time we have visitors here.

I forgot to say we had a long weekend due - but here we are, back again for a few days.

Sorry to hear you haven't slept, Dizzi. As Pat says, try to grab 40 winks here and there, if you can... and hope for a proper sleep tonight.

Pat, can't blame you - I would do exactly that if it were warmer today! You go and put your tooties up until June :-) How do you manage your housework in the heat? Do you take it in the morning and evenings... or, I suppose you are used to the temperatures now and it probably isn't an issue for you. It's different when you're on a holiday, isn't it?
I know I'm used to cold winters now - though last year wasn't too bad, anyway.
Hope your OH is feeling a bit better.

Weather here at the moment is a little breezy, some quite big fluffy clouds that are letting some of the sun through and the temp is 10 C

Dizzi... I think I'll go and hide for now... just in case I get on your wrong side. Only kidding !!! :-D :-D :-D

You have my sympathy Dizzi, having had no sleep. I know it throws your system haywire so try to have 40 winks and I hope you will feel less grumpy afterwards.

A very wet and cold day here in Yorkshire today. Dark rain clouds hovering and looks set to be in for the day...... hey ho, ..... one less job as I won't need to water the plants

Oh Dizzi what are you like, you are not to head butt the furniture it's harder than your head. What has the furniture done to you anyway. :-S ;-) Just be careful with a bang on the head see your other thread.

32 C at the moment, temperature due to drop again later this week.

You're correct Solrosen you do just get used to the heat. The temperature normally starts to creep up gently so is easy to cope with but it has been very unsettled this year. It's the cold that gets me. I'm on a low carb diet and boy do you miss carbs when it's cold. This winter has been very hard for me as it was much colder than usual.

OH still having trouble but his back is a little better than it was.

Hope you've got rid of your headache Dizzi.

Oh no Dizzi, poor you, you could have done without that!!! Best take it easy today.

Pat, your temperature is far too hot for comfort.. I would be fit for nothing if I lived there. Hope your OH back pain improves before too long. That's not good at all.

I put a full line of bedding/towels out earlier and now its clouded over and black rain clouds hovering. Need to keep my eye on weather as I don't want washing to be wetter than when I put it out!
