Hello Dizzi and Pat and anyone else calling in

I've not been around properly for a while, so I thought I would just pop in to say hi.

I'm up pretty early for a Saturday morning and the sun is shining but it is cold - we have a frost and it's 3 deg at this time. It will warm up shortly - I love these mornings. :-)

19 C but very windy and it's a cold wind again. Lovely if you can get out of the wind.

Chinese last night. We are staying in tonight. Think we are then out next 4 nights.

Friends go back Wednesday night, think I'll hibernate - no out St George's I do believe - after St George's I think I'll hibernate until June :-D

PATCH SO I TRY TO STAGGER GROWING SOME TIMES IT WORKS A LOT OF THE TIME I FORGET TO DO IT.
KNOW ITS DAFT BUT I ENJOY GROWING RUNNER BEANS
ALMOST AS MUCH AS EATING THEM. :-)

Lovely day here again, about 5 degrees and rising. I have just come back from dog walking. Saw a cheeky red squirrel peeping at us from around the back of a tree, stood on its back legs and leaning to one side...so cute!!

I'm not a lover of food shopping, Dizzi. Always take a list or else I tend to get carried away.. getting stuff that looks nice instead of what's needed :-D :-D

You've got a busy time ahead still, Pat. Don't know if I could cope with 4 in a row ..
actually, it will be nice though..... no cooking!! ;-)

That walk has given me an appetite ... I'm off for some breakfast xx

Hi Dizzi.... I took too long writing, you weren't there when I started :-D :-D

Your weather sounds a bit like here.... and actually, home grown runner beans are the best I think. I used to get given some from a neighbour, years ago, and they were absolutely huge... easily 10-12 inches long ... and tasty, too!

Weather here is still cool, the temperature is 20 C but the wind is very cold so I reckon it's about 15 C. Managed breakfast outside before the wind got up, soon moved when it did.

Out tonight, there's entertainment on in the next village so it's a meal out and entertained whilst eating and no washing up :-D :-D :-D

Solrosen it's great going out for a meal as you say no cooking or washing up, (the dishwasher stacked and then put away).

I've grown beans and peas, love home grown veg. Here we have a small garden and the only produce we get are from the orange and lemon trees. The orange tree is in full bloom at the moment. The lemon tree always has a small amount of flowers on it, lemons don't seem to have a season and produce fruit all the year round. At the moment we have fruit ready to pick, some going from green to yellow, some small green fruit, some just set and flowers. :-S

The supermarket we go to has contracts with the local farmers and most of their veg comes straight from the fields. Local tomatoes taste wonderful. :-D

Getting warmer here, it was already 18 C when I got up. Now 20 C but wind is getting up and the sun has disappeared behind some ominous dark clouds, very black up the mountain. :-(

Out tonight at local tavern in the next village. Chinese tomorrow and then eat out late Wednesday afternoon, I think down the beach, before going to the airport to drop off friends. Then we'll be sort of back to normal - whatever that is :-D

Well, it has here at least - still chilly early morning, but the outlook is good!!

Was up and out early yesterday, doing nothing in particular - but it still took all day.
So today I must get some cleaning done (she says in an excited voice :-S) as I have an errand into town tomorrow - and that takes up half a day! I've got lots of things to catch up with, and I have to plan my errands around dog walking - and he's not a little dog that can come places with me. He's a big lad who's normally very well behaved - but big!

I have a golden retriever who is at the top end the breed standard -
but because I'm just on the 5 foot mark, it makes him seem bigger :-D :-D :-D

Here we opened our curtains to sun and 41 km (25 - 26 m.p.h.) winds this morning. Patio furniture going walkabout.

It's HM's birthday, she's 89 and Kate and Will's baby is due so wonder if it'll be born today?

Soon be St George's Day. Can't think that far ahead at the moment :-D

Just had a mammogram, they send for you every 2 years here. Waited all of 10 mins and was out 6 minutes after my due appt. I was early and it would appear several didn't turn up. You get a letter and you have to phone for an appt. so they should turn up.
