Glad you enjoyed yourself yesterday.

Got 4 pairs of curtains and 7 throws washed and dried. Curtains ironed and back up, throws back over the seating.

3 loads of clothes to wash today, then iron - yuk. Upstairs curtains in the week. Should have several good days now. Already 20 c today, very little wind at the moment. Soon be finished with spring cleaning. Usually do it over about 3 weeks as the weather gets better but we've got visitors next week and the weather's only just perked up. Still once it's done I can take it easy as we'll be out a lot with visitors. Not a lot of cooking to do as we eat out with friends when these visitors come out as they know so many people here.

It's 21 C here but very cloudy. Sun keeps hiding. Checked web cam up the mountain this morning, there's still snow on the very top. Guess that'll be soon gone as summer's just round the corner. :-D

WELL I REALY JINXED THE WEATHER WAS A LOVELY MORNING ENDED UP DULL AND CLOUDY,WENT TO DISTRICT NURSE ABOUT MY LEG HAD IT REDRESSED BUT IT FUDDY HURTS,AND NOW I JUST CANT GET COMFORTABLE IN THE CHAIRS THERE SO HARD TO SIT ON,SO I GOT A NUMB BUM,,

Morning Dizzi :-) or to be truthful good afternoon.

Sunny but hazy here, dust or sand in atmosphere. 23 C.

Been to the doc's, only to get repeat prescription will now rattle for the next 2 months. Was 59th patient of the morning as your no. is written in the register and your prescription pad. We are issued prescription pads here so we keep our own records. Doc's open at 07.30, they come once a week here. Locals cue round the block from 07.00. I take an elderly lady who can't get there at that time so by the time we got there the place was heaving and we had to sit and wait. When we go I just make sure I don't have anything else to do that day. :-D

PAT SIT AND WAIT AT GP BRINGS BACK MEMORIES WHEN I WAS A KID OUR GP OPENED AT 8;30 BUT WE HAD TO GET THERE BY 7 TO GET TO SEE HIM ,HE DID A 3 HOUR SURGERY EVERY DAY AND IF YOU HADN'T BEEN SEEN BY THEN THE WAITING ROOM WAS LOCKED WITH THE NEXT TEN OF US LOCKED IN EVERYONE ELSE CAME BACK NEXT DAY,THE WAITING ROOM HELD ABOUT15,YOU WENT IN WHEN THERE WAS A FREE CHAIR COUNTED HOW MANY IN THE ROOM AND WATCHED AS THEY WENT IN,HE HAD NO RECEPTIONIST,NO REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS,2 GP THERE ONE DID SURGERY THE OTHER DID EMERGENCY CALLS,NO COMPUTERS HOW DID THEY MANAGE ,

My first memories of our doc are similar but he had a nurse/receptionist that you saw prior to sitting in the waiting room. Found her in floods of tears 1 morning when my sister had to go and get her injection before she started school in that September so it must have been 1955. Our doc had a call out during the previous late evening, got back home, made himself a drink, sat down to drink it and died. Always thought of him as being old until I checked on here - early 50s. Then I was very young and he was similar age as my maternal grandparents.

First time I came across a docs with a proper system was 1977. Now I'm back with 1st come 1st served. When we left just after midday there was at least a dozen still waiting. Doc may have finished by 1 pm. She's supposed to be there no later than 1.30 pm so she should have made it. Nasty coughs and colds about at the moment. :-(

Doc's Russian, has fluent Greek and English.

Been raining since halfway through the night. 15 C at the moment.

I went into the sitting room when I came downstairs to open the electric external shutters. As they rolled up, sat in front of the patio door was Mozart. I opened the patio door and in he came, chuntering away. Think he was telling me he'd been waiting a while and I should get up earlier. :-D He then ran upstairs when he realised OH wasn't downstairs. Should have heard how he shouted the odds as OH lay in bed, sounded though he was telling OH to get up.

This is next door's cat not ours, we're just adopted when the weather is too foul or hot for him or he wants company. He's now curled up fast asleep next to me and OH did get up :-D

ALL DAY JOB, NOW OVER THE ROAD THERE'S A FAMILY
OF EIGHT KIDS MUM AN DAD AT 7;30 HE MAKES HIS FIRST TRIP TO SHOP ON THE WAY BACK HES SCRATCHING A SCRATCH CARD,THEN AT LEAST FOUR TIMES A DAY WE ARE ALL WONDERING IF HE EVER WINS,,,,,
