just caught up with it - Susannah to go, Abby to win :-D

BrendafromWales

BrendafromWales Report 8 Dec 2013 20:08

Don't understand the public vote...Susanna should have been in dance off and then probably would have gone.
It's anybody's guess whose going to win...

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 8 Dec 2013 20:13

Oh no, no, no. I don't believe that at all!

Susannah was rubbish yesterday, and yet she gets through. All that acting when she and Kevin were announced to be going through too. Pass them an Oscar. He grabbed his head, and she placed her hand on her chest. What a load of old waffle.

I still think she and Ashley should have been in the dance-off, not Patrick.

I am beginning to think that the outcome in the final will be heading in one direction, and I don't like it one bit.

:-(

AnnCardiff Report 8 Dec 2013 20:29

neither of the male celebs should have been in the dance off - we all know how much harder it is for a male celeb - after all, the females are being led by professional

Susannah should have gone and she knows it

Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 8 Dec 2013 23:01

fingers crossed its Natalie next week BUT I suspect it will be Suzanna :-D

Shocked!!! wrong couples in dance off :-(.....Susannah looked shocked too, she should definitely have gone this week.

Although Patrick looks good when he's dancing, Ashley is the better dancer and takes more chances.....look at the lifts and the leap onto Ola's head :-0.....not happy with judges' decision :-|

edit: didn't like show at all,The Saturdays were awful as were the male 'dancers'? behind them......

Silly Sausage Report 9 Dec 2013 10:05

The saturdays are certainly not a good live band are they? flat as witches *** the lot of them.

I think we are now at the stage where the votes will be for the most popular not dancer. They have all improved so much apart from Miss FP who dances the same as she did on week 1 but can certainly dance, havent taken to her at all to much drama too many tears. I certainly hope Patrick gets to the final, Suzanna I dont dislike her but as I said she has peaked unless she floors us next week with a fantastic rountine then she could be out. Sophie again I dont dislike her, but there is something about her. Abbey has grown throughout, she loves her strictly experience she is always 1st at the studio cant wait to get started, she takes notes of the advice the judges have given her, she loves to dance and it shows in her performances.... she is my winner :-D

AnnCardiff Report 9 Dec 2013 10:07

agree with everything you say Hayley - Abby is the best female, Patrick the best male

Why thank you my dear Ann <3

Abby has really grown throughout the contest
and imo deserves to win.

Disappointed that Ashley was voted out last night,
he was the better dancer in my eyes.

Emma :-)

Well you could have knocked me down with a feather! I really thought that Abby was going to be rubbish. There has been a lot of negative things about her in the press, being a WAG, etc. and she seemed to just be an attached me to her husbands arm. But she really has come into her own. She is funny, very likeable, and she can dance. I am flabbergasted!

Yep, Susannah is hanging on by the skin of her teeth, and Kevin is getting a bit verbal too. Sophie is probably a very nice girl, but I am getting a little tired of seeing her mother crying, and her husband looking intent!

I think it will be Abby and Patrick as the last two.

I got the impression that the consensus on Take Two was that Ashley should not have gone. Bruno all but admitted that the public are voting for their favourite, and not the best dancer.

:-(

Rumour has it that The Jordans will not be returning next year and have already been axed from the tour dont know if its true or just media hype James s'posed to have slagged the judges off at weekend on twitter :-0

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 10 Dec 2013 19:30

That was a bit silly, if it is true. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

I wonder if Ian will ever come back on the show proper, rather than Take Two?

Mauatthecoast

Mauatthecoast Report 10 Dec 2013 19:42

Anyone agree with me that Strictly is getting past it's sell-by date?
Apart from BBC changing the original format (and that doesn't mean just different professional dancers) there are now many other 'unknown' dancers in the background, often detracting from the competitors.

As a big fan I've watched the show since it started but feel it has lost its way..... too much hype and not enough substance imho :-(

Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 10 Dec 2013 20:21

they say that the if you watch the celebs whilst dancing with the pro dancers then the celebs are learning their trade if your eye is drawn to the pros then they are failing. By adding the pros in the rountines I persoanlly think its like a big vocal artist with a large backing group or choir, the lead vocal cant hit them big notes no more. Note you never see Shirley Bassey with a backing group ;-)

I dont think they will bring back Ian or Karen and its about time they got shut of Anton and certainly Bruce :-D

Mauatthecoast

Mauatthecoast Report 10 Dec 2013 20:35

I kinda know what you mean Hayley.

I'm not saying that new professionals cannot be brought in, older celeb. dancers have to come and go,and I love some of the new ones, they're superb dancers.
Backing singers 'might' be needed but backing dancers? nah

It's just that the show is so padded out now, (gimmicky and over the top) even takestwo has lost me as a viewer.....too many egos.....

Annx

Annx Report 10 Dec 2013 23:15

Well I rather liked Sophie's dance this week, I thought the stiffness was part of her acting as a mannequin.

Abby seems to be a lovely person and great dancer, particularly the beautiful ballroom dances and the salsa she did, but I don't feel she shows enough of the posture and assertiveness in dances like the paso doble. FP does those better.

On dance ability I think it should be Abby or FP to win, but the public don't judge on ability so it is a contest on who is most liked.

I would be sorry for Strictly to come to an end.
It's far better than some of the other reality shows...I like the band and the music.
I just wish they would stop all the flashing lights...have mentioned this before, but it really gets on my nerves and takes away my watching the dances.Far too glitzy.
Why they have to have the floor all lit up while dancing beats me...Its this new studio that started it.
Doesn't matter to me who the so called celebrity is,it's the entertainment value and quality of dancing..
Reminds me of my era of going ballroom dancing...although not all the show and acrobatics they do on Strictly. :-)

Silly Sausage Report 14 Dec 2013 20:41

I do wish Bruce would stop bullying the audience to standing ovation if they thought the dance deserved it then should stand up on their own :-| :-| :-|

Abbey to win :-D

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 14 Dec 2013 20:53

Agree - Abby to win - she was fantastic as ever = Susannah to clear off, followed by sweet sickly Sophie :-D
