I too am wondering who the 39 year old man is....

Ok looks like it could be a next door neighbour

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 11 Aug 2012 12:46

He was the guy who made the sworn statement that he'd seen Tia on the Friday.....

Sickened. Absolutely sickened. :-(

GRMarilyn

GRMarilyn Report 11 Aug 2012 12:57

Now have I got a suspicious mind or what ?

Wonder if there was a hole in the attic between these two houses of suspect neighbours.

Hmm one wonders ......:-S

Merlin Report 11 Aug 2012 13:10

After the cock up of not searching the house right away, Sadly the "Keystone Cops "come to mind, Total Inefficiency of the Police investigating .**M**.

GlitterBaby Report 11 Aug 2012 13:22

The police are going to get a lot of bad press on this.

Surely if a shared attic it should have been searched. What is the comment about the body reportedly being moved on Friday?

Hope they throw the book at the grandmother

Florence61 Report 11 Aug 2012 14:15

This whole story is so sad but it sickens me to the core now that we know who the murderers are. just what kind of people are they? The boyfriend had apparently not long been out of prison so for the grandmother to be with him sums her up really. The other guy is the next door neighbour.

I hope they jail them all for life and throw away the key but also what about tias mother? Did i read that she a had a thing with hazel before the grandmother or something?

The whole thing has turned my stomach having just seen the latest on the news.

minihousenut Report 11 Aug 2012 15:52

Having lived in New Addington for thirty years before moving away I couldn't understand sky news saying the body was in the cellar as those houses have concrete floors. In fact the only place she could have been hidden was in the loft, but the police say the body has been moved about four times so maybe it wasn't there when they sent the sniffer dogs in. I really hope people do not judge the rest of Fieldway estate as all the same we had some wonderful friends and neighbours who wouldn't dream of doing something like that, but I do know there are wicked people in the world and not all families (mine own parents included) behave as you expect

Kay????

Kay???? Report 11 Aug 2012 16:00

As I predicted the grandmother would be next,,,,,,,

those houses will have loft insulation,,, to take someone up there alone from a landing if thats where the loft hatch is would be near impossibility,,,,,,, so logic tells me at least one more person had to be involved.....you would need someone who you could trust completely,,,,,he may now have sold her and the next door neighbour down the river ...if Tai was found elsewhere in the house,,,,,to move heavy furniture and then get floorboards back in place requires a hammer---that makes noise so anyone nex tdoor would have heard it,,,,,!! I hope they make all charges stick and there will be more than just that poor darling childs murder.

what a heartbreaking mess.......the family must almost be insane with anger, sorrow and grief....

do those house have cellars????they are 1950/60 houses surely cellars wasnt put in council houses then......

but there may even be someone else involved..?....

wisechild Report 11 Aug 2012 16:08

Surely if her body had been located in more than one place in the house, the dogs would have detected it. After all, they detect bodies buried under rubble in disaster areas.

Kay????

Kay???? Report 11 Aug 2012 16:26

They are trained dogs W/child,,,,,,,but even a domestic housedog can detect something that isnt nice,as has been proved when people are walking their dogs and come across a nasty encounter in woods.

Vera2010

Vera2010 Report 11 Aug 2012 16:37

The neighbour has been arrested because he gave a statement in which he said he had seen Tia leave the house of her grandmother. As a result many Police hours were spent checking CCTV cameras on the route to the shops.

The Police will of course have to take the flak for what they have very quickly admitted was a human error. If you are going to make an error this is the worst time to do it. I hope people's anger is not directed to the Police so much as the man who wasted their time in the first place.

You have to remember this is a house in which a man convicted of drug offences lived. I'm sure he is very adept at secreting things although poor Tia should have been found at the second search after it was no longer a missing persons enquiry.

Police sniffer dogs are trained too, specifically for that purpose.
Mind you, even our cat can tell when there´s "something rotten in the state of Denmark" so to speak.

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 11 Aug 2012 21:01

I am hoping that enough evidence can be found to put thoses people responsible for the death of Tia in prison where they belong.

I also hope that the media show some commen sense and do not publish anything that might be held to be unfair to defendants in any trial.

I would hate to think that anyone would get away with any crime because of things (true or not) said about people before a trial..

May justice be done.

RIP Tia

I do hope that identification is formally established soon, and that the post-mortem examination will be concluded soon.
