StrayKitten Report 9 Aug 2012 18:32

my son is 6 n has my old mobile, with only immediate family members numbers in,

yes the t-shirt thing is queer, however the general public are now allowed to wear t shirt baring her picture, but not allowed the same piture the family are usng :-S

I agree, mobiles are a boon to keep in contact with your children and vice versa but I fear that some people put too much store on them (I am not saying that is you Muffyxx) and allow their children more freedom because they have one. It is a good way of detecting a child's last whereabouts for the Police but that is sometimes when it is too late. In this event anyway Tia did not have her mobile with her.

Julie, the father still has some responsibility either legally or morally even if he is not local. I just feel that there were a lot of adults and no one there for Tia but perhaps i'm being too judgemental and don't want to be that at this terrible time for the family.

Muffyxx Report 9 Aug 2012 18:38

Yep that's how I read it Julie....if they'd have said that in the first place rather than *no t shirts apart from family* then they'd have got loads wearing them and free publicity to boot !!! Seemed dead odd to me...but yeah reasonable explanation now we know.

They are very high handed on there...one girl, trying to help asked a perfectly reasonable question and had her head bitten off by a whole mob of them !..she wasn't being in the least bit critical (which you shouldn't on a site dedicated to the child) but she was just trying her best to be of help bless her. x

The dad of missing Tia Sharp has revealed how friends and family are looking for the missing 12-year-old girl in case she turns up in his home town of Northampton.
Her father, Steven Carter, aged 30, who lives in Moulton having moved from London 10 years ago, said: "Tia obviously has links with myself in Northampton, as well as her granddad and uncle and her cousin.
"We got a phone call that she could have possibly have gone up this way but there has been no sighting whatsoever. We have people waiting around for her and looking out for her just in case she does come here but at the moment the police are looking at CCTV to try to follow her."
Mr Carter said both sides of the family were devastated at her disappearance, but said he was still hopeful she would be found. He said: "Both sides of the family are devastated.
